Have you read and looked through the Battalion Handbook: Yes, I've made sure to read through each part thoroughly, even parts that did not apply to me. I did this to make sure that the Battalion command is something I truly aspire for.

 

Do you meet the requirements: Yes, I believe I have reached all requirements for Battalion.

 

A quick summary about you: (70 Words - Minimum) So during my non-Gmod life, I currently work as a Manager for Marks & Spencer (Supermarket) working 54hrs a week during COVID-19 time - but before Covid I also competed in Boxing weekly with training and tournaments. 

 

As a whole I would describe myself as a great person to get along with for the majority of time, I think I have a great sense of humour and love to make people laugh when possible as to me that is the fun of life! However, if needed I can easily switch to being disciplinary & serious especially if it's to enforce rules against people who try to ruin things of others - which is part of the reason why I chose CG as my Regiment. It is also why I have long aspired to join the Army and was in the Army Cadets for 3yrs, however I still can’t make my mind up on what I want as a set future career.

Why should we pick you for Battalion: (200 Words - Minimum) I am extremely committed to everything I do (in exception to scenarios where I have no choice but to step out), I always want to follow through with the things I start and wish to make a dent so that others can aspire or learn from me! I am also a very competent person I.e: after 4 months of rejoining Marks & Spencer I managed to partake the role of Manager with no undergoing experience or knowledge of what I need to do (all of this was whilst this massive epidemic was starting as well) and so far I have had day to day commendations from my store manager on my hard work and showing of common sense/quick development. I have a natural talent to understand people's feelings & understand them to a deep level which allows me to be unbiased and appreciate what they do and how they overcome. In life I wish to only improve myself in every way not only for myself but for others, so that I can hopefully make an impact on their life.

 

Moreover, the fact that I have reached a rank of Major within less than a weeks playtime (as I have also spent a lot of time playing Jedi on the server before CG), must show that I am committed to using the spare time I do get on this server & to also take advantage of that time to the best of my ability - whether it is from being a bartender and give everyone a fun time to chill from SeriousRP or as a CG to enforce a majority of that SeriousRP so players can fairly enjoy what they joined the server in expectancy of.

 

Furthermore, I have extensive background with leadership roles - from owning my own semi-populated Gmod DarkRP server for 3 years to managing day to day in without hesitation of needing help or worry of messing up, but with drive to complete things alone and develop myself from the tools I am given.

 

Overall, I feel that I have earnt a right to be a part of Battalion and help lead this server for both current and future players! And if you don’t agree that I have earnt my right, then let me prove to you my skill & abilities by giving me this chance.

 

Describe the roles and responsibilities of Battalion: (100 Words - Minimum) I believe the most important role as a Battalion member is to show all players - both new and old - that this server isn’t just a minge-fest but needs to be taken seriously to a fair extent! This can be done by giving punishment for Troopers who chose to misconduct or break other rules as such, no matter their rank or their time on the server.

As a more practical role/responsibility of Battalion, they need to be looking out for adverts to Accept & Deny or even ask for Reason. They need to be able to lead events with confidence to show that they know what they are doing (with assistance from EP explaining the event), as well as commanding attack formations at the correct time such as shield pushes or RC/GM Infiltration.

 

Moreover, a Battalion must give extensive training to their assigned regiment to help improve them & make them the best of the best! They must be able to study their given regiment and take note of/create creative originals & alternatives for regimental training, so that the players don’t feel bored of their regiment and are also inspired to push up the ranks! However, I also think that Battalion members should host SIMS & training with the opportunity for other regiments to join, so that they too can participate in alternative training  to help them finalise a decision on which regiment/rank they wish to become.

 

Have you ever been demoted, banned or kicked: (If so, explain why) I have not been banned, kicked or demoted.

 

Do you understand that Battalion is a very respectable and disciplined rank: Yes I completely understand this, and is part of the reason why I wish to join Battalion so I can help enforce that discipline & gain more respectability for Battalion as a whole.

 

What does Battalion do during Combat, when they are not leading? (IN DETAIL) During events where Battalion are not leading, I believe they should be with their assigned regiment to spectate their higher ranks and see their capabilities of leadership, so that they can feedback their criticisms for improvement to the player who commanded for the event. They should also keep an eye out for new/lost clones, and give them orders to follow so they have something to do (or atleast give them direction to where the rest of their regiment has gone).

 

What are the 3 duties a Battalion Officer Cadet has to complete before getting promoted as part of his mentoring session? 

1. Do a basic training
2. Lead an event correctly
3. Complete a debrief

 

What is the job of the Co-Leader during events? The Co-Leader is the second in command, and they should assist the leading Battalion member in completing their tasks and help make their decisions/suggest some. The Co-Leader should always be prepared to take charge in the chance that the leader has to disconnect or goes AFK. Finally they should be keeping an eye out for event requests to accept and deny so that the leader can focus on their main priorities.

From my short period in CG I have gotten the impression that Donkey is completely incompetent.
Donkey was making mistakes and refused to acknowledge his own mistakes just because me as an ET pointed them out, he went on to say "Know your place" instead of taking the criticism as it is.

He puts no effort in his trainings, all he seemed to care about was getting the logging he needed.

In the times that i've seen him, Donkey seems really dedicated to whatever he is doing, whether it be ARC evals, do doing his job as a CG or just participating an event in general. If he keeps this dedication into Batt i think he'd do pretty good.

Also detailed app and seems to have a good amount of experience leading things.

You have only just got major and your playtime ain't great so your experience is pretty poo.

This may seem bias as I have known this guy for a few years now, but based off his past battalion experience on another server and his great attitude in game, I would definitely recommend him. He has been on this server as long as Ice Cube and has such a commitment after a year of A levels and hard work managing in a store he has still found the time to keep playing Werwolf gaming SWRP. I honestly dont know who could be more committed from the other players I have met so far. He treats everyone fairly and listens to both sides of a story when needed. I think he would be a great asset to battalion.

IMO that is when the regiment is the most fun, and I dont think you will get it this time

It was either this or a Neutral/+1, however people have already commented on the main factors which are not good about your application. Obviously, you have only got 1 week of playtime, which is very low for someone who wishes to be Battalion. Battalion need experience in leading. On the other hand, you have been very active in that one week of playtime, however I think you still need more experience in SWRP for you to become a top tier Battalion member.

The other obvious thing is that you have only recently become a MJR yourself, so like I said earlier, this shows you are quite inexperienced.

However, Donkey is very active from what I have seen, showing himself to be competent within CG when playing events and in general. Donkey is generally quite nice from what I have seen, and I believe he has dedication. Because of this, I think that you probably wouldn't be the best candidate for Battalion, but for you to go and achieve more playtime and experience due to your dedication. I think you can do that, so I hope for the best, good luck.
Just a quick edit, Donkey is also a fast learner so if he is to be accepted into Battalion now, I think he could learn quickly and gain experience from that too.

This is why I am split, so either way I hope you get your desired rank.

from time to time i do see you being quire hot headed and i have seen instances  of you being in denial when corrected by someone, however i have seen times that have out shined these instances, i have seen how dedicated you are in CG and that you care about this server one of the main issues is your playtime.
