Why do I believe that I should be unwarned:

Basically we were in the EC room waiting for the event to begin, we all (not including schumacher) were wanting to vibe to music, i decided to play Dancing in the moon light on soundpad, i doubled clicked on it so it plays through my headphones also my microphone so i can't basically hear anything at all, during this everyone started to enjoy it also people were using the dance emote with keys. Schumacher warns me out of the blue, i don't know if he verbally warns me or not, but really he should of typed something in chat so i could stop, i was all up for stopping if someone asked me to stop. I would like to add this was a OOC zone, the EC room. I would understand if it was in MB but it was not disturbing anyone's RP

Evidence: Everyone that uses Soundpad should know if you double click on the sound file you want to use it plays on both your headphones and microphone

Hello! As the Security Staff that Warned you, I was using WW2 logic, which I would presume applies to SWRP cause its rather logical. Just like our spawn, your admin rooms on SWRP are OOC Zones. With this, IC Rules do not Apply, yet OOC ones still do. If you were in an Admin Room, you Shooting Everyone wouldn't result in CG coming to arrest you for Golden Rule, but would result in staff issuing warns for ARDM / RDM. If you were in there and changed your job to avoid a sit, you still get warned as that is an OOC rule break, and not an IC one.

As such, as Mic Spam is an OOC issue, and not something which is dealt with IC, as you were in the OOC Zone of the Admin Room where IC Rules do not apply, yet OOC ones do, the warn is valid in my eyes, and should remain.

[I was in a channel with Senior Mod Bobby Bands at the Time, and Commander Pagan who both agreed with my logic, if this is incorrect, and I misinterpreted the definition of an OOC Zone on SWRP, then this will be accepted, and SWRP SMT will remove the warn].

If a verbal warning was given before the warn then I would obviously say keep the warn due to it being completely valid however if a straight up warn was given out the warning should be removed.

Just adding aswell, when it comes to Micspam its a verbal first before actually warning

It's not mandatory to staff to give verbal warnings for mic spam according to the Staff Guidelines (proof of this is the picture below), and micspam is an OOC rule.

From my point of view if the ep was fine with it then it would be fine especially if no warning was given

Although you were in the EP area deciding to mic spam can be quite off putting so I could see why a warn would be given but as with most things a verbal warning should be given first but with mic spam it doesn't apply as it is quite clear that a rule is being broken.
