Blaster 50 Share Posted November 10, 2020 What your suggestion is: Addition of two tools on the server and a possible replacement of the repair toolScriptfodder/workshop link: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1700003070 (fusion cutter) a repair tool https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=104607228 (fire extinguiser) https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1874686044 (turbolaser tool) Any additional information: The fusion cutter works on all vehicles we use on the server and looks better than a toolgun. It also works with LFS, in case we switch to that we won't need to search for a new repair tool. The fire extinguiser was already suggested by Hash, but this time I am just presenting a workshop link. Also tested and it works fine on both props and NPCs (possibly on players too). I am not sure which regiments are to receive this, but I am sure it can be discussed. Now the turbolaser tool is an interesting one. At first I thought it was only a visual effect but after testing it actually does damage, which can be easily edited just like any other tool through the q menu. But I also found 2 negative facts. First one is that it only goes vertical, meaning that for it to make sense the ship must be firing down (unless you use it as orbital bombardment). The second one is the fact that if used on water, it will remain there floating so I am not sure how that helps. All of this is clearly not a priority for the server so it will obviously take some time before being checked Link to comment

Victor 210 Share Posted November 10, 2020 After trying out the 3rd suggestion in singleplayer I can tell that it would be an awesome addition to events such as firing from a muni etc -Past Ranks-No one cares -anwarter Link to comment
Shepherd 97 Share Posted November 10, 2020 (edited) +1 I mean yeah, goes without saying really. I really hate how there can be fire but no-one to put it out! But now If CE were to get a fire extinguisher that would be awesome. Maybe GM and CE CO+ (For Engineering and Flamethrower purposes)Can get the Fire Extinguisher as ETs would cause chaos spraying foam around the base. Fusion cutter I would love to have as it would work with LFS and it would do with some better PassiveRP and Turbo laser tool for EPs. All very good additions which I hope will be added to the server! Hash 23 Share Posted November 10, 2020 +1 Regarding the Fire Extinguisher, I really hope the attention and the intent is not taken off GM and placed onto other regiments, considering as I introduced the whole bloody idea for GM SOs themselves alone. Giving this to GM would be much more efficient and would make much more sense (considering as we're the fire bois etc.) as opposed to CE getting them or another regiment. Considering as we're in the front lines, where MOST people will be on fire, our SOs would be able to put them out much quicker, unlike them having to run into the back lines to a CE or something. But overall +1. Link to comment

But overall +1. Well it will not be up to me, whichever regiment and rank gets it, will be fine as long as it is actually used efficiently. I believe CE could use it in their passive rp and not the purpose you are describing so I do not see a reason to not allow both regiments. Link to comment
Halt 3 Share Posted November 13, 2020 +1Some nice spice of life Hadn't considered the locksmith option, but I can tell the Fusion Cutter has a lot of functionality. Creator frequently updates their work, so fixes would be easy to get. Turbolaser is going to be a blast, per some testing of my own, it'll work fine in our setting. To my understanding, the output can be modified easily, so it would work to scale with whatever ship you want to use it from. GM getting a fire extinguisher makes sense, gives them an option to un-burn their brothers, or hell, prevent EC's from burning them. Can tell CE will mostly, if not exclusively, have it for passive, unless we can burn ships. And I might be biased here, but please consider letting 74th have access to it as well. Would make it easier to help burning clones that we can't otherwise save. Link to comment
