  2. Honestly, overall, a pretty good application. It's lacking detail in some places but that's not too bad, quality over quantity, and it definitely has quality in it. The only thing I'd say is again, you should never give verbal warnings on HL2RP unless it's a player that literally just joined ten minutes ago. Otherwise, all of the answers are correct, and you have previous experiencing in both staffing and being a member of server hierarchy, so +1.
  3. If you need your role requested please do the following in a new thread. 4. You probably just forgot to put this in your answer, but you should also ask the reporting party for evidence, considering that's vital to most RDM cases. As I've said on other applications, again, verbal warnings shouldn't be a thing on HL2RP. You have to remember that the server is seriousRP, and as thus, the staff team has to be even more serious than the server itself. There's zero tolerance for rule breaks. Depends how they're breaking RP. As I've said on other applications, if they bhop away or something like that, then yeah, warn them. However, if they just refuse to RP and start arguing in LOOC or something like an idiot, just inform them to gather evidence, continue with the RP for now, and after the situation ended report it to staff for review and then it can either be retconned or voided. Those are the only main issues I can find with the app, and that aside, I know you're competent and you've already gained a fair degree of trust considering your position of discord staff in the HL2RP discord, and you definitely have potential. So for that, +1 on this application.
  5. As I said on Wook's application, this one has the same point. Grammar is a major issue throughout it, and normally on other W-G servers, this wouldn't be too much of an issue, however, considering HL2RP is seriousRP and that involves quite alot of writing and story telling- immediately that's a pretty big downside so far. Otherwise, I'm going to be honest with you, the application is extremely hard to read, so I'd recommend some color variation, or atleast just don't put everything in black. Anyway, for the application itself; RDM would more likely than not result in a ban, not a warn. Correct otherwise. Mostly correct, but if the player is new, then you should also explain what the faction does to them and give insight on it's workings, to ensure that they do actually want to join it once they fully understand it. I've said it plenty of times before by now, but on HL2RP, verbal warnings shouldn't be a thing. I understand that you come from deathrun and that's a much more relaxed gamemode, however, on HL2RP you have to remember that it's seriousRP, and rule breaks have a zero tolerance policy. For this, you should immediately punish him. Alongside that, NH2RP doesn't warrant a kick, it'd either be a lengthy ban or a permaban, and if they wish they want to actually RP, they can appeal it on the forums. You should also actually punish him for misuse of his rank, depending on the severity of what he did. Either a warn, ban, or temporary dewhitelist until the factions hierarchy can step in. Prop spam, more commonly than not, results in a permaban, considering the potential it has to crash the server. If it was accidental, a lesser ban can be given, or even a warn, depending on your judgment. But most of the time you should permaban. Kind of correct. Again, as I've said on other applications, you should actually take the players words into consideration, as they may hold merit. The correct answer would be; tell the player to continue with the RP situation and gather as much evidence as he can for his case, then once the situation has concluded, he can contact staff to review it for a possible retcon/void of the whole thing. There's a few more issues but I think I've outlined the main ones. You do have potential, and I understand you may view the server as more relaxed due to your experience on deathrun, however, in the applications current state I cant bring myself to give a +1. If you get permission to edit it or want to reapply in the future and fix what I mentioned, then really, I believe you could do great. But for now; -1
  6. In this situation, you should also ask the reporting party for evidence, such as screenshots, video proof, or anything else incase the reported player makes a ban request assuming punishment is given out. While logs /can/ be used as a sole factor to ban someone, it's not the most reliable, considering they don't show things such as context, or the actual situation outside of text just displaying damage and death. Video evidence is always preferable while giving out punishments. That's the only main thing I have to be nitpicky about in this application, other than the fact in your last two scenarios, as I've said on other applications, you shouldn't give out verbal warnings unless it's an extremely new player to the server. As you have to remember, HL2RP will be seriousRP, and as such rule breaks should be treated with a zero tolerance policy. The staff team has to be more serious than the server itself, so allowing people to get away with rule breaks by administering verbal warnings will just give them signs that they can get away with it without any real punishment, and that mentality will escalate and spread into the rest of the playerbase. Otherwise, grammar in the application is a bit iffy, and I struggled to read most of it, but I do acknowledge the fact English isn't your native language. Either way, if you can, try fix it up a bit. +1 due to your past experience on SWRP and a mostly decent application.
  7. For the most part, this application is fine, but again, as I said on Donny's application, verbal warnings shouldn't be a thing on HL2RP unless it's a player that literally just joined the server. You have to keep in mind this server is seriousRP, even harsher than WW2RP, and as a result, the staff team will have to be strict to keep the rules in place and to not let people get even the slightest idea breaking them is allowed. To put it simply, the staff team has to be more serious than the server itself. While I can understand your answer here, it depends on more than if they're just breaking server rules or not. Alongside enforcing rules, staff members are meant to keep up the immersion in seriousRP, and ensure factions are running smoothly alongside the designated faction leaders. If the player in question is outright disregarding their duties or using the role in a completely irresponsible manner, then you'd step in. Refer to above regarding verbal warnings. But despite that, it depends on how they break RP. If they just start arguing in LOOC like an idiot with the other person, then that shouldn't warrant any punishment, considering the player isn't breaking server rules in that regard, and you should simply tell them to continue with the RP, and staff can deal with it after the fact to just ensure the situation runs smoothly, and a possible void can come later if required. However, if they do something like bhop away, then yeah, warn/kick/ban them. This isn't really what powergaming is. Something you'll have to keep in mind is this is a seriousRP server, and as a result, most of the actions will be done through actual roleplay and emotes rather than script features. You can't expect script features to be coded for most of the things people do, so as a consequence, they're given free reign to emote and roleplay as they wish, and the situation you described in your answer is actually pretty common place and allowed on seriousRP servers as it's standard fight RP. However the citizen would have to /attempt/ these actions and give the other party ample time to react in their own emote. Powergaming more so refers to forcing actions onto others/actions your character physically cannot do and not giving them a chance to react. An example of this would be /me snaps the OTAs neck, killing them instantly. Or something along those lines. Despite that however, if you're willing to take what I said into account, my opinion on this application will be a +1. Despite the points I mentioned, you do seem to have some potential.
  8. Full warning, my criticism on this app may come across as nitpicky, but I think it has to be said. It'd probably be best to ask the reporter for evidence aswell while you go through logs. While logs can be used solely as evidence assuming sufficent proof is given in them, by themself they can easily be disputed considering they don't provide any context to the situation or anything else except for text stating damage and death. Video proof always holds up better in those situations incase an appeal is made, and they allow you to judge the situation better. Verbal warnings shouldn't be a thing unless it's an extremely new player who literally just joined. You have to remember that this server is seriousRP, and by that, any unserious behaviour you can't just let go with a slap on the wrist because people will take that as reference they can get away with it. The server is serious, yes, and with that, you have to remember the staff team will have to be even more serious in terms of punishments they deal out to keep that atmosphere and immersion up. If a player is messing about with his rank, then it's your job as staff to make sure he's dealt with appropiately until faction leads can step in. Don't feel disheartened to temporarily kick him off the job until he starts being serious, or until faction leads are informed and deal with the situation appropiately. Don't just let someone get away with rule breaks and unwillingness to RP on a seriousRP server solely because he's part of a faction, if needed, strip his rank, unwhitelist him, or whatever else in the moment. That doesn't give him any immunity to punishment. Refer to above, verbal warnings shouldn't be a thing on HL2RP, unless again, it's a player who literally just joined. If someone is propspamming, at the bare minimum, considering if they're attempting to crash the server or not, it's either a permanent ban, or a shorter ban such as a day or a week, in my view. Again, you have to remember to be harsh. Depends on the situation for this one. If the player just stops RP and starts arguing in LOOC, that isn't really worthy of a failRP warn, considering that isn't failRP. That's just the player being an argumentive idiot, and you should tell them to get their shit together, go with the situation for now, and if they believe by the end that it was handled in an unjust way, staff can deal with it then after the RP has concluded. If they do stuff that's actually failRP like trying to bhop away, then you warn them/kick them. Not exactly. Powergaming refers to forcing your actions onto others, such as, /me snaps the cops neck, killing them instantly. Actions like cutting elevator cords or anything else, through RP, aren't powergaming, as long as your character has the tools and could reasonably do that. Powergaming is more so forcing unrealistic/any actions on players and not giving them a chance to react. It isn't failRP for a cop to not perform raids or interact with citizens. I don't know where you got that from. People can roleplay their characters as they wish, if a cop wishes to be friendly to citizens and be lazy on their job, as long as it's solely IC, that's allowed. People are allowed make characters with their own personalities and play that however. FailRP is more so doing something that just isn't realistic. I.e; bunnyhopping. I'm gonna remain neutral because of all that.
  9. Okay, yeah, if you’re windbomb then from that alone I can put a +1 From what I remember you were competent enough and have prior experience from back then in an admittedly more experience environment which you managed to handle, so I’m sure you’ll excel here.
  10. You say you played Lemonpunch and Nebulous and you were staff there, but can I ask what your name was on either? Was it windbomb? Because I literally don’t remember an Argus at all. Just asking before I either +1 or -1
  11. +1, application has some minor issues which for the most part is just me being nit picky, but overall it’s to an acceptable standard. Don’t see any harm in giving you a shot.

  14. Not once did anyone say there was a rule against you replying together. All that's been stated is it's extremely suspicious on how Willrick's friends suddenly start spamming a thread alongside Willrick after a week+ of silence on it, solely to give negative feedback on someone Willrick dislikes and to back up their friend, all within the span of 5 minutes of eachother. And I'm aware Willrick is attempting to put me under scrutiny. That's why there's multiple paragraphs of counter-arguments and evidence from my side stated.
