What is the Battalion Motto: “Lead your men to death. Honour is better than surrender” Describe the roles and responsibilities of Battalion (100 words minimum): The roles and responsibilities of a Battalion Member are to lead the base during attacks, Supervise a given Regiment and keep an eye on how they are performing. If your supervised regiment are in need of any help you can talk to there hierarchy and help them with ideas on how to improve the Regiment. However if things get extremely serious you may be called to act as a 4th Hierarchy to get things back to where they should. You also should host trainings for your supervised regiment (these are to be done twice a week for minimums), you are also required to be granting/denying clones when something is requested in republic comms, this could be things such as Take Off and Landing requests or someone asking to train a Training Room to host a training for there regiment. One main rule to follow with this however is once an Event Planner starts to collect you MUST not grant any PT (Personal Trainings). After every event the leading battalion will host a Debrief these are to be done in a high standard and not in an non-professional way. Why should we pick you for Battalion (200 words minimum): You should pick for the role of Battalion as I have Previous experience within the ranks and following feedback given to me, it shows that I was a good addition to battalion and I will live up to that again if I am to be accepted. With my 3 previous high ranks hitting SO twice and SNR Battalion once it shows that I am trusted and responsible. Regarding my Previous Strike I took the opportunity to improve myself from it and do not plan on making the same mistake. I can be strict when needed whilst also being relaxed when strictness is not needed such as general base patrol. This is a good habit as in some situations such as during an attack you need to be ready for anything so strictness is very helpful, however outside of events its also good to get to know people as this will help people to get along with myself and will hopefully improve how serious they take my commands during combat. I can also easily adapt to any situation such as changing commands to a better strategy to improve out chances of success as soon as I see the option to. I am always looking on ways to improve myself so will take all advice/feedback given to me to heart. I enjoyed playing on this server in the past and would like to make that happen again. My activity wont be as good as it was previously and if u would like to deny me due to this I wont mind, but I will be on to lead the base to victory whenever possible. Do you understand that Battalion is a very respectable and disciplined rank? Yes I understand this to the best of my ability and will follow all rules and respect them. What do Battalion do during combat, when they are not leading (In detail): While in combat and not leading the GAR a Battalions job is to prioritise sticking with there supervised regiment and provide help within there area such as if I supervise 501st I would be in the front line with them or 41st id be in the backlines/on high ground with them. During an attack the Leading Battalion member has the final say in what I do. This could be from asking me to oversee another regiment. Whilst with the supervised regiment I cannon and must not command them in any way, but only give them suggestions on what might be a better strategy. If a battalion member does not have an assigned regiment to supervise they will stick to the backlines providing support from a distance. What are the 3 duties a Battalion Officer Cadet has to complete before getting promoted? 1. Host an open sim that has some difficulty for the people partaking 2. Complete a Debrief in a good manner 3. Some examples are helping out setting up a sim with giving weapons / giving models, as well as just general answers for any questions someone might have either about the rules or something just more general. Have you read the server rules and are you familiar with them? Yes I have read over all the rules recently and I understand them to the best that I can. List of all previous server staff experience: One staffed on a Gmod Dark RP server with around 50 active people. SO I understand how to use the regular Gmod ULX. I also understand I will still have to learn how to use the ULX that this server uses. Do you understand that you can be demoted at anytime with a sufficient reason by a Hierarchy member?: Yes I fully understand this. Explain how you would handle these scenarios as a staff member: 1 ) You are told by a Player that somebody is randomly killing other clones: I would start with bringing the player which reported the RDM/MRDM to listen to whatever he has to say about the situation. After this I would I would go into cloak and teleport to the suspected player whilst also checking the logs for any deaths. IF there is incriminating evidence against him I will bring him to a staff sit and tell him what he did and why it isn't allowed and listen to him if he has anything to say about it. After he has said the things he wanted to say I would warn/ban him depending on the severity of the case such as was it RDM or MRDM. If he says that I am in the wring I would tell him to go and make an appeal on the CWRP forums. 2 ) You are asked by a Cadet to be trained using the @ function: I would first off say that I will get a trainer down to him as soon as possible. After this I would go to a Battalion member and tell them to send someone down to the cadet area to train cadets. If there is not any Battalion online I would have to write in the "ooc" chat and ask if any NCO needs there mins. If no one responds to this I would have to teleport the lowest ranking NCO+ to the cadet area so that they can do the cadet training. 3 ) During a debrief, a CT accidently shoots someone, whilst trying to safety their weapon: If this is the case I would let any CG online because it is not considered RDM/ARDM as it was only one shot and was an accident, this means it would class as an IC situation and means it is not a Staff matter. However if they were to continue shooting it would then be considered RDM and would turn into a staff matter. 4 ) A CT #### doesn't salute you, despite you being a rank higher than 2nd LT: As a staff member I wouldn't do anything about it as its an IC thing, but as a clone I would tell him that they are meant to salute to 2nd LT above. 5 ) Someone commits FailRP, but claims that the specific instance of FailRP is not explicitally stated within the server rules. In this situation I would still warn the culprit as FailRP is FailRP even if the matter is not on the rules specifically and most of the time its common sense. If this case of FailRP seems to be an attempted Loophole I would report it to the higher ranking staff members about it. 6 ) You bring a player into a sit and punish them accordingly, however they do not agree with your punishment and keep on arguing: I would reconfirm to them the reason that they were punished and if they believe I am still in the wrong I would tell them to make an appeal on the CWRP Forums. Explain what you will bring to the staff team and your strongest assets as a person/potential staff member (250+ words): I believe that I would be a good addition to the staff team as I am always open to improvement and I am constantly looking for ways to improve my skills. When I first joined this server I had no clue on what the clone wars even was and how any of this ranking structure even worked, but with the help from the people around me I am now in the regiment of battalion which shows I can be trusted within high ranks and with high amounts of powers within the server I have even achieved Battalion of the week which shows that I can be committed to the position that I am in. This is also shown by the fact I have never been warned or demoted from any rank that I have had which includes two ranks of being an Staff officer. I have had previous experience within the staff side of Garry's mod although it may have not been for a long time (around 2 months) due to the dark RP server being shutdown due to issues with the service it was hosted on. Within this time I have leant what it means to be a staff member and would love to have the opportunity to be apart of the amazing staff team on my favourite server within Gmod. I will bring dedication as well as lots of effort whilst also being mature with everything I do. I am on the server when ever I can which includes early mornings to be there when other staff may not. Honour is better than surrender Describe the roles and responsibilities of Battalion (100 words minimum): The roles and responsibilities of battalion are to defend the base from any attacks or to lead a planetary event/attack, Supervise and being helpful to the regiment that you get assigned to and ensuring that they are performing to there best standards. This can include talking and helping the regiments hierarchy. Some other responsibilities are to host open trainings or trainings for your supervised regiment (these are to be done twice a week for minimums), you are also required to be granting/denying clones when something is requested in republic comms. After the majority of events the leading battalion a Debrief will be held these are to be done in a high standard and not in a "quick get it over with manner". As Battalion you also get a clearance level of 5 and you must not abuse this in any way. Why should we pick you for Battalion (200 words minimum): You should pick me out of any other applicants because I have always wanted to be a part of Battalion since joining the server. Battalion is something I have looked forward to because I will be responsible for making sure events are held smoothly and not in a terrible fashion so that I can lead us to victory. I have achieved the rank of SO twice with no other demotions/warns which shows that I am responsible and also that I know all the rules needed to ensure a smooth running base. I believe that as a person I can be strict if needed and also be fun to speak too as well. This is important as I will want to be liked as I will be leading the base during attacks and don't want to be disliked by the other clones as they will not like following my orders during attacks which could cause the GAR to lose to that attack. If I am to be given this opportunity I definitely wouldn't let the rest of battalion down. As well as this I am always open to any improvement if needed as I want to be the best that I possibly can. Whilst doing this the leading Batt may ask me to oversee another regiment in which case I must obey the command given. I must then not depart from that regiment unless given permission to. I am not allowed to order the regiment I'm currently with around at all. However I can give them advice on where to go if it is a better location then where they currently are. Whilst I am with a regiment I will be following what they do such as if I'm with 41st then I will stick to the backlines where as of I'm 501st I would stick with them in the frontline. If I do not have an assigned regiment I will be within the backlines keeping my self safe whilst also doing some damage.
