When did you join the server? Have you taken any breaks since: Joined over three years ago and yes taken breaks in between but when i played i was active everyday

State the role of staff on the server: The role of a staff member is to uphold the IC and OOC rules while on the server, assisting in questions to with the server whether that be new rules or questions to newer players as well as aiding players both for trainings , getting unstuck and setting up SIM's.

Explain how you would handle these scenarios as a staff member:

 

1 ) You are told by a Player that somebody is randomly killing other clones: 

I would first check the logs of the person that's killing clones to prove they have actually been RDM'ing. If they have been RDM'ing then I would pull them into a staff sit, explain to them that this is not acceptable and give them a warn for RDM and if a certain amount of players have been killed i would issue them with a ban

2 ) You are asked by a Cadet to be trained using the @ function: I would take the claim and go to the cadet and ask how long they have been waiting for a trainer. I would then ask a Batt member online either in a PM or OOC could they send someone and once they do I would TP the player to me give them a Phyis and tool gun if they don't have one and let them train the cadet.

 

3 ) During a debrief, a CT accidently shoots someone, whilst trying to safety their weapon: I believe that if the CT shot only one bullet accidents happen and they should get a speaking to by the CG but if they was to shoot off about 7 bullets then I would freeze them and take them to a sit and explain that what they are doing is RDM and then give them a warn. 

 

4 ) A CT #### doesn't salute you, despite you being a rank higher than 2nd LT: Me personally I don't believe that its something anyone ever does outside a Mando and so it would bother me if they did or didn't

 

5 ) Someone commits FailRP, but claims that the specific instance of FailRP is not explicitally stated within the server rules: Even though they don't believe what they have done isn't FailRP i would explain what they have done is FailRP and show them the rules and regulations of the server. After explain this to them I would give them the appropriate warn but explain if they don't agree with the warm to make a forum post to get other views on the matter.

 

6 ) You bring a player into a sit and punish them accordingly, however they do not agree with your punishment and keep on arguing: If the player feels that the punishment is unjust I will explain to them the rule that they broke just so they could get a better understanding of this and provide a link to the rules and regulations of the server so they can read it themselves. If they continue to argue about this then I will give them a minute to calm down in the sit and if the arguing continues I send them a link to the forums to explain if the warn is unjust so that they can get other views on the matter and if the senior staff agree then the warn can be removed.

 

 

Explain in length and detail as to why you deserve staff more than other applicants. Explain what you will bring to the staff team and your strongest assets as a person/potential staff member (250+ words):

I personally believe that I should be staff over others as I already have some experience with using the ulx on this server in terms of having to give weapons , set spawns handle large groups of people that sometimes don't always listen and explaining the rules to potentially new individuals that join the server from being a former EP of the server. Further more from being EP I have got the experience from having to potentially take staff claims when staff wasn't online and even had to ban someone for RDM late night. From this I feel that it would take me less time with getting to grips with how the ulx systems work and understanding it more properly in terms of a staff member. Another reason as to why I feel like I deserve staff over other is due to me being a quick learner when it comes to knowing commands for different weapons or have to set the spawns of SIM jobs for training and if I do get stuck I'm not afraid to ask other staff members to help out in that regard and ask other higher ranking staff how to do things so that I can learn from them and get better at being a staff member. Furthermore another reason as to why I feel like I would be a good choice for staff is my friendly nature to other members around the server and my personality to talk to anyone either good or bad as I feel communication is a big part of staff when either helping new players with understand the rules of the server of how they should try and approach things better or with more experienced players on they should conduct them selves in case they have broken some rules. Furthermore another reason as to why I feel like I would be a good staff member is due to my outlook on situations as if someone makes a mistake I can understand that mistakes happen and I'm always fair when it comes to listening to both parties that have been involved in a altercation but also my strictness as if high ranking or long time players are breaking the rules I'm not afraid to give them a warn or tell say "you shouldn't do that" as its not fair to others that could do the same but get a more serve punishment. Overall I feel I would benefit the staff time in a positive way and my time on the server through both IC and OOC has helped me to learn the way things work and engage positively with the community as a whole
