Can you speak and type English fluently:
Yes. Full disclosure, I have had issues with some people not understanding me because of my accent in the past but it is pretty mild and I have no issues repeating myself.

IC Rank(s) and OOC Donation Rank(s) on CWRP:
212th EXO (Currently temp CMDR), Plat VIP

Do you own a working microphone? When you communicate do you type or speak:
Yea I use my mic to communicate mainly, only type when needed.

When did you join the server? Have you taken any breaks since:
Joined in May of this year. I have taken quite a few LOAs or ROAs during that time due to my commitments at work and issues I had during the summer after my previous landlord decided to sell their flat on short notice. Most of these have been precautionary absences or to allow someone who can put more time into the server to temp hierarchy in my place to ensure the regiment is run effectively.

How often do you use our Teamspeak 3 server, CWRP Discord and our forums:
I use the ts and discord daily and even when I am not on the server I am reachable through discord. I will read through forums every so often, but admittedly I don’t check them very often at the moment.

State all your previous OOC punishments (bans, kicks etc.) and a screenshot of your list of warns. (Go in game and type !warns.) Upload it to http://imgur.com/ or as a steam community screenshot and include the link). Your game time must be visible as well in the screenshot. (Type !time then open warns menu, and drag the menu so chat is visible with the time):
Previously warned for ARDM during my first month or so of playing on the server but this was a misunderstanding and the warn was removed after I made an unwarn appeal.

State the role of staff on the server:
Staff are here to make sure the rules of the server are upheld and to help the general player base with any issues they may have to the best of their ability.

Have you read the server rules and are you familiar with them?
Yes and yes

List of all previous server staff experience:
I owned several swrp servers that were each semi-successful for a short time back in 2016 with a group of friends. In my role, I did most of the dev work for the server and managed all of the staff.
This was so long ago at this point that the experience isn’t worth much though. I remember basic ulx but would need retraining, I am a very different person than I was 7 years ago and this isn't a Jr Dev application.

Do you understand that you can be demoted at anytime with a sufficient reason by a Hierarchy member?:
Of course.

Explain how you would handle these scenarios as a staff member:

1 ) You are told by a Player that somebody is randomly killing other clones:
Get the person’s name, check Blogs, explain to them what they’re doing is wrong and then punish them accordingly.
- If they’ve shot only maybe once or twice I would let it be handled in character
- If they’ve shot people more than this then but no one has been killed I will warn them for ARDM
- If they’ve killed people I will warn them for RDM
- MRDM if they’re killing a lot of people.
- If I can’t see any evidence of anyone shooting or killing other clones I would talk to the person that made the claim and go from there.

2 ) You are asked by a Cadet to be trained using the @ function:
I’d ask if there are any NCO+ that are willing to train. If there are not and it has been 10 minutes I would either train the cadet myself or start tping people to train the cadet starting from lowest to highest rank.

3 ) During a debrief, a CT accidently shoots someone, whilst trying to safety their weapon:
As staff I would not give out a punishment for this, at most I would speak to them about how to correctly put their weapon on safety and ask them to be careful in future. Ideally, this would be dealt with in character.

4 ) A CT #### doesn't salute you, despite you being a rank higher than 2nd LT:
No punishment required for this. In character I would explain that they are supposed to salute anyone at that rank or above.

5 ) Someone commits FailRP, but claims that the specific instance of FailRP is not explicitly stated within the server rules:
This is very situational, and can only really be handled on a case by case basis. If the player has a history of warns for FailRP then they will likely receive a more severe punishment. If they don’t have a history or if they are perhaps new to the server I will explain the fact that there are unwritten rules, give them a verbal warning and encourage them to use their common sense in the future.

6 ) You bring a player into a sit and punish them accordingly, however they do not agree with your punishment and keep on arguing:
I would try and deescalate the situation as it is natural for some people to get upset over a disagreement like this so I think it’s important explain the whole process as thoroughly as possible. If there is no way to deescalate or if they still disagree I’d give them a link to the forum appeals section and tell them the proper process to appeal.

Explain in length and detail as to why you deserve staff more than other applicants. Explain what you will bring to the staff team and your strongest assets as a person/potential staff member (250+ words):

I’ve been playing on this server since the start of summer and found my home in 212th pretty quickly. Despite the fact I haven’t been a part of the community for very long, in that short time I have reached the rank of EXO after I showed myself to be a valuable and committed member of the regiment. I took my place in the regiment's hierarchy because I wanted to do more for the group of people that I had spent so much of my time with. I’d like to think I’ve done pretty well so far and I would now like to try and give back to the server as a whole, I think a great way for me to start would be joining the staff team.

My approach to staff would be fairly simple, I am a logic driven person and have no issues dealing with conflict or acting under pressure.
In general I like to try and give folk the benefit of the doubt but have no issues handing out punishments as when they are deserved, I believe ignorance is more common than malice and while I like to hope for the best from people I won't let anyone take advantage of this. I will look at situations in the most neutral way possible and be unbiased towards everyone involved.

In regards to my activity, with the hours I work I often find myself on the server at off-peak times as well as peak hours. I have seen first hand that having a staff member on at these off-peak hours can greatly improve the experience of the players with people able to host trainings, get whitelists or take part in funny and creative PMEs that they otherwise wouldn't be able to. I would also like to add that my activity in the past month has been below my usual standard, this has just been because of extreme circumstances in my work life and in the new year my expected hours at work will be reduced giving me more free time to play on the server.

Thank you to anyone who takes the time to read this application!
