  1. +1 Active, good guy and very approachable Decent IC ranks Not the highest play time but has accomplished a decent amount in that time
  2. In-game name(s): Rob Steam Name: RobLC Steam ID: (https://steamidfinder.com/ STEAM_0:0:92177042 Age when applying: 23 What country do you currently reside in? What is your time-zone: Scotland GMT Can you speak and type English fluently: Yes I can Current total game-time on the server (type !time): 4w 9h 47m https://imgur.com/a/wuzBRb8 IC Rank(s) and OOC Donation Rank(s) on CWRP: 212th Lieutenant Commander (Currently Temp Commander), PlatVIP Do you own a working microphone? When you communicate do you type or speak: I use a microphone When did you join the server? Have you taken any breaks since: Joined the server May 2023. I've taken some short breaks because of work since joining and I took a 3 week LOA at the end of summer last year to move flats. How often do you use our Teamspeak 3 server, CWRP Discord and our forums: I use the teamspeak and discord every day. I don't usually check the forums regularly but easy enough to start if needed. State all your previous OOC punishments (bans, kicks etc.) and a screenshot of your list of warns. (Go in game and type !warns.) Upload it to http://imgur.com/ or as a steam community screenshot and include the link). Your game time must be visible as well in the screenshot. (Type !time then open warns menu, and drag the menu so chat is visible with the time): https://imgur.com/a/FEbqnjl State the role of staff on the server: The staff team's role on the server is to ensure that the OOC rules of the server are followed by the playerbase as well as trying to make each person's time on the server as enjoyable as possible. Staff should aim to help as many people as possible whether that's by taking claims to help those who need it or just generally enforcing rules so that everyone who spends any amount of time on the server can enjoy it as much as possible. Have you read the server rules and are you familiar with them? Yes, I try to keep up to date with all changes List of all previous server staff experience: No staff experience in recent years as I took several years away from Gmod during uni but I have previously developed for swrp servers and have been a Co-Owner/Head of Staff for a cwrp server back in 2016 Do you understand that you can be demoted at anytime with a sufficient reason by a Hierarchy member?: Absolutely Explain how you would handle these scenarios as a staff member: 1 ) You are told by a Player that somebody is randomly killing other clones: General practice would be to get the person’s name, check Blogs, remove them from the situation by taking them into a sit and to explain to them what they’re doing is wrong and then punish them accordingly. More specifically: - If they’ve shot only once or twice I would try and let it be handled in character rather than interfering as staff OOC if this is repeated after Jail time I would be more likely to intervene - If they’ve shot people more than this then but no one has been killed I would grab them and take them into a sit to explain to them how what they did was wrong and likely warn them for ARDM - If they’ve killed people I would take them away from the situation to stop any further conflict and then warn them for RDM - If they’re killing a lot of people I would warn them for MRDM. - If I can’t see any evidence of anyone shooting or killing other clones in logs I would talk to the person that made the claim and to get more information and then go from there. 2 ) You are asked by a Cadet to be trained using the @ function: I’d teleport to the cadet and make sure they've put out an advert asking for a trainer and ask in OOC if there are any NCO+ that are willing to train them. If I don't get a reply from the OOC message or the advert and the cadet has been waiting a while I would message batt to order someone to train the cadet or start tping people to train them starting from lowest to highest rank available. 3 ) During a debrief, a CT accidently shoots someone, whilst trying to safety their weapon: As staff I would not intervene in this situation, at most I would speak to them about how to correctly put their weapon on safety and ask them to be careful in future. Ideally, this would be dealt with in character by the Rancor in charge of the CTs currently or by CG rather than staff getting involved OOC. 4 ) A CT #### doesn't salute you, despite you being a rank higher than 2nd LT: This isn't really enforced in character anyway so no reason to be getting involved as staff as far as I'm concerned. 5 ) Someone commits FailRP, but claims that the specific instance of FailRP is not explicitly stated within the server rules: This is really down to what has happened in each specific instance, and can only really be handled on a case-by-case basis. I would explain to the offender how their actions are considered FailRP and that it is virtually impossible for every possible instance to be written down in the rules. Depending on the severity I'd likely let them off with a verbal warning in hopes that they now understand the rules better but obviously, if anything similar happens again I'd just return to them and warn them since I've already given them a chance to avoid it. 6 ) You bring a player into a sit and punish them accordingly, however they do not agree with your punishment and keep on arguing: I would try and de-escalate the situation before anything else. If there is no way to de-escalate or if they still disagree I’d give them a link to the forum appeals section and tell them the proper process to appeal my decision. Any punishments I would hand out would be based on the rules for the server and arguing isn't going to change those rules, if I have properly explained why they are being punished and the process for appealing the punishment I would just leave to avoid aggravating them any further. Explain in length and detail as to why you deserve staff more than other applicants. Explain what you will bring to the staff team and your strongest assets as a person/potential staff member (250+ words): In my humble and unbiased opinion, I'd make an excellent choice for staff. First off, I've poured a ton of time and energy into this server. Seriously, it's become a big part of my life over the months I've been here. Whether it's jumping into events, chatting with fellow players, or lending a hand wherever needed, I'm all in. And I don't just mean in-game stuff – I've made it a point to help out both in and out of character whenever I can because I genuinely care about making this place awesome for everyone. I would bring this mentality to the role of staff, I am a logic-driven person and I enjoy interacting with people, I believe these qualities make me easy to talk to and approachable. I think I will be able to handle any situation that arises professionally and deal with it appropriately but I am also able to own up to my own mistakes and if I do make any mistakes I will take action to fix them and learn from the experience. Unfortunately, I can't speak on any staffing experience when it comes to my time on this server but in my role as 212th Hierarchy, I believe I have shown my dedication to this server and its players. I joined my regiment's hierarchy because I wanted to take on more responsibility and be able to help the people that I spend so much of my free time with more, I want to join staff so that I can extend this to helping the whole server. I am active, and plan to stick around. I am thoroughly enjoying my time on the server and I'd like to help others enjoy their time here too. I'm a bit late to the application party this time round so thank you to anyone who takes time to read all this!
  3. +1 - Extremely friendly guy - ULX experience, was staff trained from his time as an EP - Short answers for scenarios leave something to be desired - Needs to take a shower Would make an excellent addition to the staff team. Good luck lad
  4. Neutral/+1 - I have known Shadow since my first day on the server and have found him to be a pretty decent guy overall - As a part of his hierarchy I can confirm he is an active member of the community and consistently performs above the average in his duties as a COL - Not being able to use a microphone could be a potential set back but tbf he can type pretty quickly - Grammar issues in places throughout the application. Given your reliance on typing in-game, it would have been beneficial to proofread the application and maybe rewrite a few things. Good luck lad
  5. In-game name(s): Rob Steam Name: RobLC Steam ID: (https://steamidfinder.com/ STEAM_0:0:92177042 Age when applying: 23 What country do you currently reside in? What is your time-zone: Scotland, UK. GMT Can you speak and type English fluently: Yes. Full disclosure, I have had issues with some people not understanding me because of my accent in the past but it is pretty mild and I have no issues repeating myself. Current total game-time on the server (type !time): 3w 3d 15h 56m https://imgur.com/a/pmKIgZp IC Rank(s) and OOC Donation Rank(s) on CWRP: 212th EXO (Currently temp CMDR), Plat VIP Do you own a working microphone? When you communicate do you type or speak: Yea I use my mic to communicate mainly, only type when needed. When did you join the server? Have you taken any breaks since: Joined in May of this year. I have taken quite a few LOAs or ROAs during that time due to my commitments at work and issues I had during the summer after my previous landlord decided to sell their flat on short notice. Most of these have been precautionary absences or to allow someone who can put more time into the server to temp hierarchy in my place to ensure the regiment is run effectively. How often do you use our Teamspeak 3 server, CWRP Discord and our forums: I use the ts and discord daily and even when I am not on the server I am reachable through discord. I will read through forums every so often, but admittedly I don’t check them very often at the moment. State all your previous OOC punishments (bans, kicks etc.) and a screenshot of your list of warns. (Go in game and type !warns.) Upload it to http://imgur.com/ or as a steam community screenshot and include the link). Your game time must be visible as well in the screenshot. (Type !time then open warns menu, and drag the menu so chat is visible with the time): Previously warned for ARDM during my first month or so of playing on the server but this was a misunderstanding and the warn was removed after I made an unwarn appeal. https://imgur.com/a/vIol45z State the role of staff on the server: Staff are here to make sure the rules of the server are upheld and to help the general player base with any issues they may have to the best of their ability. Have you read the server rules and are you familiar with them? Yes and yes List of all previous server staff experience: I owned several swrp servers that were each semi-successful for a short time back in 2016 with a group of friends. In my role, I did most of the dev work for the server and managed all of the staff. This was so long ago at this point that the experience isn’t worth much though. I remember basic ulx but would need retraining, I am a very different person than I was 7 years ago and this isn't a Jr Dev application. Do you understand that you can be demoted at anytime with a sufficient reason by a Hierarchy member?: Of course. Explain how you would handle these scenarios as a staff member: 1 ) You are told by a Player that somebody is randomly killing other clones: Get the person’s name, check Blogs, explain to them what they’re doing is wrong and then punish them accordingly. - If they’ve shot only maybe once or twice I would let it be handled in character - If they’ve shot people more than this then but no one has been killed I will warn them for ARDM - If they’ve killed people I will warn them for RDM - MRDM if they’re killing a lot of people. - If I can’t see any evidence of anyone shooting or killing other clones I would talk to the person that made the claim and go from there. 2 ) You are asked by a Cadet to be trained using the @ function: I’d ask if there are any NCO+ that are willing to train. If there are not and it has been 10 minutes I would either train the cadet myself or start tping people to train the cadet starting from lowest to highest rank. 3 ) During a debrief, a CT accidently shoots someone, whilst trying to safety their weapon: As staff I would not give out a punishment for this, at most I would speak to them about how to correctly put their weapon on safety and ask them to be careful in future. Ideally, this would be dealt with in character. 4 ) A CT #### doesn't salute you, despite you being a rank higher than 2nd LT: No punishment required for this. In character I would explain that they are supposed to salute anyone at that rank or above. 5 ) Someone commits FailRP, but claims that the specific instance of FailRP is not explicitly stated within the server rules: This is very situational, and can only really be handled on a case by case basis. If the player has a history of warns for FailRP then they will likely receive a more severe punishment. If they don’t have a history or if they are perhaps new to the server I will explain the fact that there are unwritten rules, give them a verbal warning and encourage them to use their common sense in the future. 6 ) You bring a player into a sit and punish them accordingly, however they do not agree with your punishment and keep on arguing: I would try and deescalate the situation as it is natural for some people to get upset over a disagreement like this so I think it’s important explain the whole process as thoroughly as possible. If there is no way to deescalate or if they still disagree I’d give them a link to the forum appeals section and tell them the proper process to appeal. Explain in length and detail as to why you deserve staff more than other applicants. Explain what you will bring to the staff team and your strongest assets as a person/potential staff member (250+ words): I’ve been playing on this server since the start of summer and found my home in 212th pretty quickly. Despite the fact I haven’t been a part of the community for very long, in that short time I have reached the rank of EXO after I showed myself to be a valuable and committed member of the regiment. I took my place in the regiment's hierarchy because I wanted to do more for the group of people that I had spent so much of my time with. I’d like to think I’ve done pretty well so far and I would now like to try and give back to the server as a whole, I think a great way for me to start would be joining the staff team. My approach to staff would be fairly simple, I am a logic driven person and have no issues dealing with conflict or acting under pressure. In general I like to try and give folk the benefit of the doubt but have no issues handing out punishments as when they are deserved, I believe ignorance is more common than malice and while I like to hope for the best from people I won't let anyone take advantage of this. I will look at situations in the most neutral way possible and be unbiased towards everyone involved. In regards to my activity, with the hours I work I often find myself on the server at off-peak times as well as peak hours. I have seen first hand that having a staff member on at these off-peak hours can greatly improve the experience of the players with people able to host trainings, get whitelists or take part in funny and creative PMEs that they otherwise wouldn't be able to. I would also like to add that my activity in the past month has been below my usual standard, this has just been because of extreme circumstances in my work life and in the new year my expected hours at work will be reduced giving me more free time to play on the server. Thank you to anyone who takes the time to read this application!
  6. +1 Super active Amazing dude Application so good I stopped writing one Get this man in the staff team. Good luck Haven
  7. +1 -Has Prior experience with EP -Event plans are clear, concise and sound promising -Good dude, I have spent a lot of my time on the server with Danny and I'm certain he will make a good addition to the EP team Good luck lad.
  8. My In-Game name: 212th LCPL Rob STEAMID: STEAM_0:0:92177042 Steam Name: RobLC What is the reason for your ban: Warned for ARDM How long were you banned for: N/A Name of the staff member who warned you: Hike Why do I believe that I should be unwarned: Fog of war and IRL shit meant I shot at the wrong people, I'm stupid but it wasn't attempted RDM. I shot at what I believed to be enemies on top of a tower outside of MH during an event. Was accidentally shooting at Hike and another clone. My partner had just gotten home and was trying to talk to me so I was only half paying attention. I was immediately grabbed and frozen but was unable to properly explain my mistake cos of what was happenening IRL I just said it was an accident and asked to be unfrozen. I couldn't hear anything that was said after that as I had taken off my headphones but Hike just assumed I was minging and moved on as he was leading event. Was genuinely just an accident, I had to log off right after it happened and Hike was running the event so couldn't be resolved at the time. I am dumb but unwarn me pls. Evidence: N/A
