These are the people who have ultimate control over the Foundation.Β

Most everyone is afraid of them. An O5 walks into a room, and everyone pisses their pants. That's what happens when you hold supreme power over one of the scariest organizations in world history.Β

You are reading this because:Β

βˆ™ Β You are an O5
βˆ™ Β You want to become an O5
βˆ™ Β You are curious on whatΒ O5 does or is meant to do.

All will be made clear. There are examplesΒ of situations that have come up to help explain what to do and what not to do.Β

THE GOOD O5Β

βˆ™ Β Knows they areΒ the leader of a global organization, Ovis City does not matter compared with the entire planet,
βˆ™ Β Focuses on the safety of the planet/millions and can make tough calls to sacrifice the few for the many,
βˆ™ Β Obeys their own rules but knows when to break them for the good of the whole,
βˆ™ Β Delegates responsibility to other team leaders (SD/HOEA/MTF Cmdrs, etc),
βˆ™ Β Ultimate goal is to be overseeing a site where there is little to get involved with or do.

THE BAD O5Β

βˆ™ Β Does not check on how the site is doing.
βˆ™ Β Will not support or help the SD and other leaders in leading.
βˆ™ Β Micro manages missions or situations instead of trusting the team leaders to do it.
βˆ™ Β Treats the site as their primary focus instead of the Foundation as a whole.
βˆ™ Β Hesitates at making decisions thereby causing the death of millions.

Becoming an O5Β

Play lots of Site Administration jobs. Site Director/Advisor in particular, HOEA has a more narrow focus but can be helpful. SD is the hardest role to do well, if you can prove you can do that very well, you'll have a much greater chance of acceptance to O5.Β

Attitude is also key. Yes you can be strict but fair. You may get some vocal critics but the silent majority will note your performance.Β

When you become an O5 you choose a number and a codename. http://www.scp-wiki.net/o5-command-dossier

Β

Β

Whoever you choose should fit with your RP character in server:Β

O5-1 "The Visionary":
Male. European descent. British origin. Appears to be about 55. Formerly affiliated with Her Majesty's Foundation for the Secure Containment of the Paranormal. Signatory and initiator of the Forbidden City Convention.Β
A principle believer of the Foundation's formation "by God's will". Religious backing or disinformation?Β
May have strong-armed other precursors into forming the Foundation under threat of annihilation? But why those other organisations specifically? What do they possess?Β

So when some O5s play as the Visionary, you expect some religious under-tones to sneak in but I have never seen any O5 with that code name be slightly religious. Focus on some immersion.

For the love of soup - If you have lots of warns/bans for stupid behaviour, do not be surprised if you are rejected.Β

Interacting with Site AdministrationΒ

Use the administration radio as much as possible (Using /fa)

Β

It is vital that you are supporting them from behind the scenes, You should only use /f when you want to broadcast a general order to everyone. The only time you use /f to summon the SD, is if for example he has given an especially stupid order (Such as the mass genocide of researchers because they refused to bio-engineer him the ultimate drugs) and you need to over-rule that order for all to see.Β

Β

If you mess about on the job, the O5 manager will punish you. If you mess up more than badly, that is, for example - ordering a mass murder of researchers because someone did an unauthorized research project, which potentially failed, then staff members will also join in to punish you. You are not exempt from rules, remember that.
