SCP-096 Data-File

Item #: SCP-096
Object Class: Euclid
Warning: Sentient & Violent

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-096 is to be contained in its cell, a 5 m x 10 m x 5 m airtight steel chamber, at all times. Weekly checks for any cracks or holes are mandatory. There are to be absolutely no video surveillance or optical tools of any kind inside SCP-096's cell. Security personnel will use pre-installed pressure sensors and laser detectors to ensure SCP-096's presence inside the cell. Any and all photos, video, or recordings of SCP-096's likeness are strictly forbidden without approval from Dr. ███ and O5-█.

Description: SCP-096 is a humanoid creature measuring approximately 2.38 meters in height. Subject shows very little muscle mass, with preliminary analysis of body mass suggesting mild malnutrition. Arms are grossly out of proportion with the rest of the subject's body, with an approximate length of 1.5 meters each. Skin is mostly devoid of pigmentation, with no sign of any body hair.

SCP-096 is normally extremely docile, with pressure sensors inside its cell indicating it spends most of the day pacing by the eastern wall. However, when someone views SCP-096's face, whether it be directly, via video recording, or even a photograph, it will enter a stage of considerable emotional distress. SCP-096 will cover its face with its hands and begin screaming, crying, and babbling incoherently. Approximately one (1) to two (2) minutes after the first viewing, SCP-096 will begin running to the person who viewed its face (who will from this point on be referred to as SCP-096-1).

SCP-096's jaw can open to four (4) times the norm of an average human. Other facial features remain similar to an average human, with the exception of the eyes, which are also devoid of pigmentation. It is not yet known whether SCP-096 is blind or not. It shows no signs of any higher brain functions, and is not considered to be sapient. Documented speeds have varied from thirty-five (35) km/h to ███ km/h, and seems to depend on distance from SCP-096-1. At this point, no known material or method can impede SCP-096's progress. The actual position of SCP-096-1 does not seem to affect SCP-096's response; it seems to have an innate sense of SCP-096-1's location. Note: This reaction does not occur when viewing artistic depictions.

SCP-096 Containment Procedures

Spoiler

Containment Procedure (Following Breach)

1. If SCP-096 has breached its Containment Chamber, due to some malfunction with the door mechanism, or someone has viewed its face, everyone who isn't E-11 or B-7 must leave the room it is currently in after it has killed its target, without looking at his face.

2. When everyone has evacuated the room safely without incident, E-11 or B-7 must be called to deal with the situation. When they arrive they will navigate with their backs turned to 096’s location and begin to walk backwards till they walk into an obstacle or can feel 096 behind them.

3. When they have found themselves either near to SCP-096 or beside him they must carefully begin the procedure of containment, this must be done carefully to ensure success.

4. They will begin by slowly taking a plastic bag or something that completely covers SCP-096 face completely, when they have covered its face and the face-cover is ensured to be steady and will not come off, they then use either Containment Cuffs or Elastic Cuffs to be able to drag SCP-096 back to his containment chamber.

5. As they are dragging SCP-096 back they must also be very careful depending on where SCP-096 is, should it be in the Foundation then all Foundation personnel must follow procedures and nobody should go near it except containment teams. If it is on the surface then containment teams may use lethal force with anybody who might try and take the bag off, such as Chaos Insurgency.

Note: Only E-11, B-7 or any GOI can cuff SCP-096.

SCP-096 Rules

Spoiler

1. You must not use the opportunity of a breach to MassRDM, this means you chase your target but you must not try and get people to look at your face, remember, only the target matters.

2. You may not use the third-person camera or PAC3 camera to look outside of your Containment Chamber.

3. Do not use the Bypasser SWEP to open your CC door or any others without the explicit intent to get your target. Should you break this, your whitelist will be removed on the basis of abusing SWEPs.

4. When in your Containment Chamber, you must sit in a corner and face the wall. You may not face the door or try and force a breach by making people look at you. It is FailBreaching if you do this.

5. You must kill anybody that looks at your face, whether or not you were RP’ing with them (i.e a scientist or D-Class, or any other player) you must chase and kill them.

6. Once you have killed your target, you must immediately sit down in the exact orientation you killed him and the spot where you stopped. You may not move around after this.

7. Nobody in Foundation can forcefully breach you, this means that if a Foundation personnel goes to your containment chamber, looks at your face and begins running purely to breach you, it is a rule break and you must report it. You may not chase the target if they have purposefully looked at your face.

8. Be careful to avoid accidents. This includes accidental killings while swiping with the SCP-096 SWEP. In these situations, should a staff sit be necessary, it’s good to always have evidence as staff can determine the course of action.

9. You may not kill other SCP’s. You may also not continue chasing an immortal target for more than one minute.

10. You may kill individuals blocking doors to your target, however you may not simply kill anybody on the path. They have to be actively obstructing you to be considered “allowed to kill”.

OOC Information

Spoiler

The SCP-096 whitelist grants a few SWEPs with different abilities and uses, of these, three are important.
Anomalous Agility SWEP: This gives you faster speed while sprinting, which allows you to run to your target faster. While holding this SWEP, 096’s face-detection is not active.
SCP-096 SWEP: This is your main swep which you’ll be holding most of the time. Left click damages in front of you, right click plays an ominous sound in an area around you. You must have this SWEP out for the majority of your playtime, as the face-detection system is only activated while holding this SWEP.
Bypasser SWEP: The Bypasser SWEP, when using left click, runs the “open” function on any door on the server, opening it. For keycard-scanning doors, use it on the keycard scanner.
SCP-096 spawns with a few other things, such as a physics gun, gravity gun and toolgun, however you will never be using these. He also spawns with a Clearance 5 Keycard, which has since become obsolete with the bypasser.

It is recommended to use +duck in console when you are meant to be sitting, and -duck when you are chasing a target or being contained.

The playermodel for SCP-096 is quite tall and strange, and as such uncuffing might occasionally be a hard task for containment. Simply request staff when you are back in your containment chamber to let you out, or simply tell the containment teams in LOOC that the hitbox to let you out is near your feet.
