They can be found either protecting the Ethics Committee are the will be on patrol throughout the site, actively seeking out anyone breaking laws. Overall they could be viewed as the SCP foundation's Military Police. What would you do if there’s no Ethics Committee Member on-site? Patrol around the site, following the orders of the O5 Council member, or if there is no O5 council member, the orders of the Site Director currently on-site, I would also listen to my commander and carry out his judgement until a ECM comes on-site. I would look to my commander for handing out punishments who I assume will be advised by the O5/SD on what they believe should happen. An O5 member is ordering you to detain an ECM while the ECM is ordering you to stand down. Who do you listen to and why? I would stand down, as my loyalty lies with the Ethics Committee, however, I would like to find out why the O5 Council member wants the ECM detained, and if it is deemed that the ECM is being unethical, I would ask them about it, and report it to the Ethics Committee for further action. I am reasonable, cool-headed, patient, and I listen to both sides of the story, I don't think jumping to conclusions helps anyone, I am more than happy to help someone if they need help or don't understand something, I can get angry as I am only human but if I get angry I try to take a step away from the situation and cool-off for a bit since anger can cloud your judgement and make you act out. I would attempt to communicate with them and explain why we are arresting the O5 Council member and why it is lawful, and I would hope that they would co-operate with us after seeing our reasoning, I would also ask them why they believe the O5 Council member should not be arrested and why they are preventing it.
