  1. Oh no I’ve caused quite a bit of trouble. Big Jeff is not me, but I don’t know a way to prove this? Can staff confirm this thanks.
  2. Name: Reece Taylor What country are you from?: Scotland How well do you speak and understand English?: Fluently SteamID: STEAM_0:1:569427017 In-Game name(s): Kye Taylor Age: 16 Play Time. Must be atleast 3 days. No exceptions(SCP-RP): Are you a VIP/GoldVIP?: GoldVIP Do you have a microphone?: Yes Do you have TeamSpeak ( Required )?: Yes Why should we pick you? (250 word minimum): You should pick me to join the staff team as I have multiple quality's that I consider highly valuable and that would greatly benefit me in a staff role. I feel that my communication skills are extremely good. In RP - but also in real life - I have to communicate with people I would not normally have to, this could be people of different ages, abilities, or beliefs. Being able to communicate with anyone is extremely important no matter what role you are in - RP or not. I feel that when I am communicating with other people I am easily able to help resolve any conflicts, which brings me to my next point. I am very good at resolving conflicts. When I am roleplaying as various MTF units/commanders there will be situations where different people want different things done, maybe due to a lack of knowledge or simply that they do not believe one thing would work better than another. I love resolving these conflicts which I feel would help me excel when on as staff. Another reason that I feel I should be picked to join the staff team is that my roleplay is extremely unique. Being great at roleplay will not get me a place on the staff team, however, I feel that I will easily be able to carry my skills from roleplay across to the staff team to help assist other staff members, or any normal player having issues. A great example of my unique roleplay is when I am online as SCP-035. When SCP-035 breaches, people normally run to as many people as they can and kill them - this is not what I do. I much prefer to passively leave my CC and talk to the various MTF units, I will not possess people and I will negotiate with the units. I feel this creates a much more fun environment for other players as they need to think about what to do, rather than just shooting on sight. An example of how I could carry these skills onto the staff team is when I am dealing with a metagame sit. In the sit, I will have two parties that are arguing against each other. Rather than instantly jumping to a conclusion and "Shooting on sight," I will be able to talk the situation out and figure out what happened. If there has been a genuine break of the rules then I can talk this out and negotiate with the person who broke the rules. If there has not been a rule break then I can talk to the person who called the sit and explain why the rules were not broken, and how he can avoid needing to call a sit like this in the future. I feel like this skill would greatly benefit me on the staff team. One last reason that I feel I should be picked to join the staff team is that I love helping people. In real life I get a "Buzz" from helping people, and this is the same in game. If I see a new player who is breaking a rule I will talk to him and explain what he is doing and why it is wrong. Sadly not everyone cares and staff will need to be called at some point. One thing I really like is seeing people that I know I have helped, succeeding. This could be them getting a new whitelist, or me overhearing them helping others. Being a staff member will allow me to carry on helping people, but on a much more regular basis. I do however know that if something serious, such as MRDM, has been happening then there is not much use in talking nicely - I will need to be strict and get the point across as quickly as possible. These are some of the points that I feel would help make me an excellent staff member. How long will you be able to play per day?: At least 3 hours, normally up to 5 Any past experience as staff?: I was once staff manager on Lucid-RP's SCP-RP server (2019) - this has now closed. Any previous warns/bans? If so why? (maximum of 15 warns, exceptions can be made.): Do you know the basic ULX commands Yes/No: Yes - I will not provide descriptions but if people would like me to I will. Do you know what SCP-RP is about? (not just job descriptions): SCP-RP (Secure Contain Protect - Role Play) is based on the SCP lore. The SCP Lore is based in a made up universe where the SCP Foundation are tasked with containing anomalous entities. The SCP Foundation is backed by multiple world governments that all want to ensure these entities are kept away from the general population. These entities are stored around the world in various Sites and Areas and all have their own containment chambers that are designed to stop them escaping - but accident do happen. SCP-RP recreates this by having a city that, in roleplay, is clueless about the works happening below the subway. Players get to choose a job that helps to create a realistic RP experience for other player. Some of these jobs, such as MTF A-1, are tasked with protecting the highest ranking members of the SCP Foundation - the O5 council. The O5 Council is a group of people that together help with making decisions that will influence the way that different sites and areas operate. Each member of the O5 council is responsible for ensuring that certain things continue to work smoothly. Around the SCP Foundation sites are areas, there are various MTF (Mobile Task Force) units, that all have their own unique roles to play with the daily operation of the SCP Foundation. MTF's such as E-11 and Beta-7 are tasked with ensuring that all SCP's on the site remain contained, and in the event a breach does happen, they will assist with recontaining the SCP. The R&D department have access to most anomalous entities and regularly carry out tasks that will help the SCP Foundation increase its knowledge on the specific SCP, but also all SCP's as a whole. The information gathered can be used to test further, or to assist with recontaining the SCP in question. On the surface there are various GOI's (Groups of interest). These GOI's range from CI to MCND. Each GOI has their own relationship with the Foundation and all have different goals. CI for instance wants to expose the SCP Foundation as they have members who used to be MTF A-1 units, and do not agree with what is going on below the surface. Other GOI's such as MCND want to try capture any anomalous entities and see what information the can gather about them. The SCP Foundation will always be watching the GOI's as they all have varying amounts of information on the SCP Foundation and could leak it at any moment. On the surface there is also normal jobs such as Police and Civillian. These jobs, in RP, know nothing about the SCP Foundation, but would probably be outraged if they knew what was happening - this is why everything is so secretive. All these Jobs help to create a realistic and fun environment for people to roleplay and imagine that they are actually part of the SCP Foundation lore. There is many more things in SCP lore that I have not mentioned, such as all the other MTF's and GOI's, I have only mentioned some of the things that we have on this server. Do you understand the rules of SCP-RP(1 word is not an answer).: I understand the rules of this SCP-RP server, and have listed some basic and advanced in character examples below. If you would like some examples of OOC or building rules do let me know. Random Deathmatch/Arrest - To kill or arrest someone, a player must have a valid reason (In character). Some examples of valid reasons are if the player was shot at first or if someone tried to handcuff a player. This rule also covers attempted or accidental RDM. Metagame - Metagaming is when a player uses information that was gained out of character, to do something in character. An example of metagaming would be seeing a message in OOC chat saying "John Doe is CI" and then arresting John Doe when I see him in game. Not only did I use OOC information, but I assumed he is John Doe by looking at the name above his head. Powergaming - Powergaming is when a player uses /me to do things that would be considered unrealistic in terms of RP. An example of powergaming would be doing "/me sneaks past all members of Nu7 without them seeing me" Player Made Events - PME's are situations that have been made by a player that are not in the game or lore by default. An example of a PME would be "Creating" a new GOI that knows everything about the SCP Foundation and is selling the information for high prices. I would like to thank everyone for reading my application. I completely understand that I have a low playtime, but I really hope I have proved that I understand the SCP lore, and that I have various skills that would benefit me as a staff member. Update: My PSU has stopped working. I have a new one on the way so for the time being you won’t see me on the server. Will be active again as normal after (I’m hoping it will be here on Saturday but it could be up to a week).
