  1. I agree on Techno with this. Your character is based around information gathering, and that is a neat idea and all. But once the Foundation finds out CI bought info about the Foundation from you, they wont hire you. Additionally, your character is very prone to "asking too many questions" which can cause you to be detained a lot.

Additionally, HOEA will probably not allow you to be hired, and their FA's could just do their job for once. CI and other GOI's seems like they would like your services, but once Foundation figures this out, they'll just do with you as all other civs "behind blue door", Amnestics and release.

Don't take this as critisism about your RP skills and character as a whole, i am simply criticising your concept of this character. A eager Civ with gun and /jobtitle or a functional FA for once could do a lot of which you say.

Also, it's not a good idea trying to play neutral or not take sides. One group will eventually deem you hostile if you dont show them more favour than others.

CI wont hire if you sell CI info
Foundation wont hire if you sell Foundation info
MC&D wont hire if you sell sensitive MC&D info

PD would be great for you. You can give Mayor Bob Curtis a reason to raid Foundation every 20 minutes.

Overall, you as a player is great, this idea of a character is not, but i do like that you did not make it combat focused, thats a step in the right direction for sure!

  2. Bob, you've changed a lot, which has had a great improvement of your character.

But TDM events have not changed from being difficult, sit ridden, "RDM!" infested malarky.

I agree with Rex, events with 70-80% RP are great, with some potential combat as a reward, not a given.

Then again, events that tie into previous events are also great. TDM events can't really be tied that well into later TDM events.

    But RP events can.

    -1

  3. The reasoning behind the change was so it encouraged RP instead of CI sniping an MTF and taking the comms on the ground. If you already had him in cuffs, you're more likely to "passive RP" .

And yes,  while not the focus, it did mean comms were always compromised.

  4. This topic again?

Well, i understand your confusion when shooting through doors seem rather unfair or not the RP you were wishing for, i think you should keep in mind that the "attackers" are burning through their ammunition when doing so.

Additionally,  you can also hide behind a thick prop to not get hurt.

They'll bleed their ammunition dry,  so you can finish them off hopefully.

If this is seen as a issue or problem for SMT, im sure they can figure out a solution or rule to stop this problem.

  5. I understand it can be seen as cheesy that;

Nu-7 sees someone run faster than them, but only slightly, calls it suspicious.

But remember,  they "sort of" have a good reason for it.

They've trained and still train to be in peak condition at all times, carrying heavy gear as well they know how fast they can mobilize.

Then seeing someone carry equally as much as them running past them,  sort of makes one wonder.

But then again, it's only slightly.

Just hold ALT to slow walk,  otherwise Foundation is going to give a reason to be suspicious on you.

  6. What Infiltrator is supposed to be:

Double agent, leaking information and informing other CI operators of the situation on Site.

    What Infiltrator actually was:

Ha ha, I shot you. I was CI dummy.

So, to lower the odds of someone going "bang bang CI here" giving them weapons just and only just for self defence, has allowed infiltration to be forced onto the path of passive RP.

    Which is nice,

And unfortunately,  seeing as you didn't like the change, would I be so bold to assume you are a connoisseur of combat RP?

  7. Step 1. Become Civ

    Step 2. Get a Pistol

    Step 3. Own a door

    Step 4. Sell antiques

    Step 5. Hire security

Step 6. Apply for a political position

Step 7. Profit.  With you local business backed by the PD, having security and a gun yourself.  You are a successful business owner.

    Alternatively,

Step 1. Don't do any effort and suggest a job so you can play that instead.

  8. ERP is vague

Rape is the limit of ERP.

But when the rule was made, it was more pointed towards kisses on chins and ass grabbing.  Not female alien having raw sex with a Male.

Maybe a better described rule of ERP would suffice. By specifically mentioning where the ERP is allowed and not to would help.

And I am amazed Henry of all my characters have gotten so well known in just a few days while my other Wildfire character who was around for like 11 weeks still isn't fully known.

That means ERP is such a foreign RP concept that word spread like wildfires.

Just as a note, my characters aren't "prostitutes" but rather exploring the RP of ERP and seeing if it's possible to combine it with regular RP.

    Fix ERP? Sure, +1 .

Unless there is actual evidence, this will turn into a He said She said situation.

Not exactly.  Due to Olli's position he is seen as the more trustworthy in this situation.

Basically,  in an unban, if you can not proove you're innocent,  nothing will happen.

Saying this, the MP5 is there just to defend myself and no combat should be involved as the charcater is there just for a passive rp experience rather than combat. The warp series is there to be somewhat similar to Salesman load out and the gen 2 cloak is there for if the club gets raided he can just be cloak and be safe

If you are making your character that good, I dont see why you would need guns. A pair of cuffs, warpsuit and Gen2 and you're good

I was more or less suggesting that you start with less gear, RP and show us you will RP on the job. One people see you use your gear for RP and not a tactical advantage you're more eligible to receive more "op" gear.

@Lorex Krato Mostly combat rp since its a litteral MTF but youv seen me before, i can clearly use combat characters for passive rp too where its needed.
And as for the equipment, no i dont expect an A-1 that  that came from the future and got promoted to MTF Resh-1 to have shity equipment. The fact you suggested a pistol for an MTF character worries me.

I was suggesting a pistol as the worse loadout you have, the more you would attempt to avoid combat

So you would rather try to RP a situation out.

The job is for RP, combat you can get on other jobs.

  12. Drakan, will your character be combat and passive oriented or purely combat oriented or purely passive oriented?

    And Banshee

It seems your character will be both passive and combat.

Pro tip, if you know combat will be involved, go for worse equipment.

The Gen 2 cloak is not the best for RP, and most of the time you will either forget you have it and won't use it, or will be invisible 90%of the time avoiding 90% of RP because you are invisible.

Instead of warpsuit, get better weaponry.

    For Drakan, I'd suggest going for;

A tazer and cuffs (to detain threats)

Smoke grenade (to supply cover for Administration if they need to flee danger)

And if you absolutely need a gun get a bad one like BT MP9, P90, UMP, Bomberg, M1911 or P99.

    For Banshee

Anomaly scanner is a great idea, but I'd imagine your character getting in fights with third parties or similar

You won't be needing good gear as your character is affiliated with MC&D which makes you a Dont-Shoot-guy sorta guy automatically. A strong pistol like Five seven or a bad SMG like BT MP9 or P90 could work.

Nice applications to ya both though
