Do you have a microphone, is it good quality: Yes Have you read and looked through the Battalion Handbook: Yes Do you meet the requirements: Yes State all your previous OOC punishments (bans, kicks etc.) https://imgur.com/a/cMQPyzx In Character Section - In-Game name: (Regiment, Rank and then your name) CG PFC Boss All Previous Ranks Obtained: (Highest Per Regiment) CG Col, Battalion 2ndLt Why should we pick you for Battalion: (200 Words - Minimum) I would be a great choice for battalion due to my seriousness when it comes to RP. I have always enjoyed RPing as whatever role I play, being CG many times I have learned the proper rules of the server inside and out, I RP the to the full extent and rarely break character. Battalion is the peak of RP opportunity and I would utilise the power and responsibility to keep the server running smoothly and ensure that there is always someone competent to lead the base in times when a leader is needed. Obviously lots of people say this but I have lead events as CG the leading aspect is there for me so I am coming in with an advantage, obviously its a lot different but having that minor experience is still better than nothing. Also being CG means that I have an authoritative role on the base so I can enforce the rules and teach others, this is good experience readying for battalion as it is a great advantage coming in and already knowing all the rules beforehand. I am also a strategic and quick thinker. I type fast which will be good for leading events, especially during my officer cadet period. I find the idea of outsmarting the enemy and leading the base into battle fun and I would put my effort into finding out the best tactics to win the event. I am also generally a friendly guy. I would take time to get to know the people in Battalion as I know sometimes they can get quite isolated from each other and also when the time comes I would get to know my supervised regiment and create a good bond with them. Describe the roles and responsibilities of Battalion: (100 Words - Minimum) Battalion are the leaders of the base. There job is to not be a regiment on their own and fight with the rest of us it is their responsibility, their duty and my honour to lead our base in battle and strategies using their wit and smart to out manoeuvre the enemy and ultimately bring the Republic to a swift and decisive victory against our enemies and anyone who dares to challenge us. Not only do they take on the momentous task of leading the GAR to victory they are also in charge of running the base when on defcon 5. One of their vital roles is the granting and denying the requests of everyone on base, they must make sure that training rooms aren’t being used and that people are properly using them. They also keep control of the airspace, they grant and deny taking off and must check the landing codes of unknown people that may be a threat to our base, they have authority to order Jedi to land, which enhances their abilities of controlling the airspace. They are also entrusted in gaining a supervised regiment once they reach the rank of Warrant officer, they work with the hierarchy in ensuring their regiment is running smoothly and effectively and not failing. They are middlemen between the admirals and hierarchy and will report how the regiment is doing directly to them. Have you ever been demoted or striked in any regiment: (If so, explain why) Yes i was Kicked once for inactivity Do you understand that Battalion is a very respectable and disciplined rank: Yes I respect the seriousness of battalion and wish to uphold the standards, as the leaders of the base I expect nothing less and I will give you nothing less. What do Battalion do during Combat, when they are not leading: They Are To help Where Needed and Provide information to the Leading battalion and rest of the Ground Forces. What are the 3 duties a Battalion Officer Cadet has to complete before getting promoted as part of his mentoring session: Lead a base attack using advert only Host a debrief Conduct a mandatory training with a regiment of my choice What rank can the Battalion Brigadier Promote and Demote up to: Captain. What rank and above can use two pieces of Regimental Equipment: Battalion Colnol Anything else: Thanks for Reading.

  11. In-game name(s): CG Col Boss Steam Name: Jon Bovi Steam ID: STEAM_0:1:225731395 Age when applying: 16 What country do you currently reside in? What is your time-zone: UK GMT Can you speak and type English fluently: Yes Current total game-time on the server : 5 weeks 1 days 3 hours - I am aware this is low but IRL circumstances meant I was no longer able to access my old steam so lost about 5 weeks of playtime on there. IC Rank(s) and OOC Donation Rank(s): on SW-RP: CG Col and Platinum VIP Do you own a working microphone? When you communicate do you type or speak: I speak and i am a fast typer if someone cannot hear me When did you join the server? Have you taken any breaks since: 24th December 2019, yes took a break due to IRL reasons but I have sorted my problems and am back for good now How often do you use our Teamspeak 3 server, SW-RP Discord and our forums: I use TS everyday even when I’m not on the server. I check the forums daily and keep up to date with all the suggestions and stuff State all your previous OOC punishments (bans, kicks etc.) and a screenshot of your list of warns: 1 warn over a year ago for RDM which i regret dearly https://imgur.com/a/cMQPyzx State the role of staff on the server: Staff have an imperative role on the server they are a team of the most trusted people on the server who enforce and uphold the rules. They punish those who break them but also are there to teach and inform people on how they can play the server better and to not break them again. Staff are needed to keep the RP going and keep the server minge free and fun. Staff are the OOC of character police so they aren’t there to get involved in IC situations unless needed and should hide their powers in IC situations as much as possible. Have you read the server rules and are you familiar with them?: Yes I have read all the server rules and being CG multiple times I know pretty much all of them off by heart. List of all previous server staff experience: I have been head admin on a large community before (Will not say the name as they are a competitor and WG #1). This was a clone wars server with rules similar to this so i am comfortable with ULX, Blogs and staffing duties. Do you understand that you can be demoted at anytime with a sufficient reason by a Hierarchy member?: Yes if someone is not fit for staff they simply shouldn’t be it, it will harm the server and is a waste of a slot. Explain how you would handle these scenarios as a staff member: 1 ) You are told by a Player that somebody is randomly killing other clones: I would teleport this play somewhere secluded for a sit and get their side of the story which could make the process of finding things out faster. I would then teleport and freeze the RDMer in question, so they can’t continue just encase. I would then go through Blogs and search damage logs to find evidence of the RDMing. If it was the case and he had killed a person I would warn him for RDM. Once the warn is issued I would return both people and keep an eye on the person just warned. 2 ) You are asked by a Cadet to be trained using the @ function: I would teleport to the cadet and see that there are no trainers around, if there aren’t any I would contact a battalion and ask them to send a trainer. If Battalion are not responding or are taking too long I would teleport an NCO+ myself, prioritising taking people with “drill” in their name. 3 ) During a debrief, a CT accidently shoots someone, whilst trying to safety their weapon: If I just see it I would do nothing, even the highest ranks accidentally shoot their guns so not a big deal, however I may remind them to be more careful as they may still be arrested for golden rule, but personally I think that would be a bit extreme. If someone made a claim about it I would still bring the CT and the person who made a claim to a sit and explain how it was an accident so not really ARDM and just remind the CT to be more careful. 4 ) A CT #### doesn't salute you, despite you being a rank higher than 2nd LT: As a staff member there is nothing I can do seeing as this is an out of character (OOC) situation so my staff powers shouldn’t be used in this case. However if I do notice this I would remind them to salute 2nd LT+. 5 ) Someone commits FailRP, but claims that the specific instance of FailRP is not explicitly stated within the server rules: If I haven’t already I would bring this person to a secluded area in order to explain to them properly so they do not feel they are being treated unfairly. I would explain to them that not every scenario can be listed in the rules as it would be way too long if there was and that it is their responsibility to think for themselves as whether this would make sense in RP. I would then remind them that if they are unsure of something before doing it they can always ask a staff member or even just in /OOC. I would then issue the corresponding warn for the FailRP they committed if needed. 6 ) You bring a player into a sit and punish them accordingly, however they do not agree with your punishment and keep on arguing: I would first apologise that they feel this is unjust and try to explain to them what they did and why they are being punished for it. If they still don't want to listen or continue to disagree I would tell them to make and unwarn/unban request on the forums and give them the link as I would never unjustifiably punish someone and if I have I would be open for them to make an unwarn request as I will be able to learn from it if I am wrong. If there are also senior staff on at the time I can ask them if they would like to request a different member of staff for their judgement as well. I would then tell the other staff member the situation and see if they agree with my punishment. If it is the case that I was wrong I would apologise as much as I could to the player and hope they understand. I would immediately ask a super admin to remove any warnings that were given. If this player believes that they have been mistreated and I am reported to SMT I would simply own up to the mistake and admit yes I was wrong and I had no malicious intentions towards this player. At any time as well they begin disrespecting me or others, I will issue a verbal warning and tell them to stop as it is not needed and doesn't help the situation. If they continue I will give them a DTP (Disrespect towards player) or a DTS (Disrespect towards staff) warning. Explain in length and detail as to why you deserve staff more than other applicants. Explain what you will bring to the staff team and your strongest assets as a person/potential staff member (250+ words): First off one of my greatest attributes would be my sleeping schedule. It is quite bad but pretty much means I am nocturnal. This would be beneficial to the staff team as during the late nights I see quite a few minges and am dealing with lots of them as CG. Usually the only people who are on at that time are 1-2 EPs, maybe 1 staff everyone now and then and they are quite overwhelmed. I would be great for the role of “night staff” and especially since WG has gone global I’d say late night staff are in a lot greater demand now. I am also quite serious when it comes to the rules. When it comes to RP servers one of the main reasons I play them is for rule enforcement. As shown by my multiple times as CG I like to keep people in line and stop the minges who are here for the sole purpose of ruining RP and immersion. I wouldn’t necessarily call myself strict as I believe that rule enforcement isn’t just about banning and jailing, it is also about teaching people on what they have done wrong and trying to convince them to play the server properly. One of my favourite things to see on servers like this are people who come on to minge and not play properly, turn into serious players who gain high ranks and even achieve things like staff. That would be one of my main goals as staff to try and help reform people and get them to enjoy and play the server properly, which most of the time is not able to happen, but is amazing when it does. Another asset I would bring to the staff team is my ULX knowledge. I know most people also have a basic knowledge of ULX, but I have used mine in real staffing situations and also have experience with Blogs and Bwhitelists which would speed up my mentoring phase and also make me a more effective staff member from the start. Another reason I believe I would be a good fit for the staff team is that I am a great team player. In IRL I have been part of a few sports teams etc so I know the importance of a team having good relations with each other and working together. I understand that staff is competitive on stuff like claim counts and SOD time during events, so obviously I would still do my duties there to try to achieve good every week however I would not hog it. I know we have a few key workers and stuff on our staff team so they may not have as much time as me to get their claims so if I am SOD and someone else is in need of claims I would switch of it and let them take some or if I'm also in need of mins sort out a rotation with them. Another asset would be my integrity. I do not like seeing people mindlessly punished and punishments wildly exaggerated to the max. When I play as CG I will not hesitate to speak out to someone who I believe is using bias towards someone when arresting or being too harsh. I would take this mindset into staff and would only give punishments that are deserved as a “corrupt” staff can ruin a server. I would base all my punishments off evidence and my unbiased judgement and would always listen to everyone's side. This also brings me to my next point: I am a good listener and a patient person. I will never dismiss someone's concerns and will listen to everything they have to say. I will be patient with every situation as the main thing that matters is sorting out a situation to the satisfaction of other members of the community and giving out the correct punishments. This will come in useful for example if I have to wait while someone gets a recording or screenshot or I have to go back far in logs.
