Steam Name: Tayhardy69

Steam ID:  STEAM_0:0:626799072

What country do you currently reside in? What is your time zone: I currently live in England going under the GMT time zone

Can you speak and type English fluently: I can

Current total game-time on the server (type !time): Your total time is 3mo 4w 7h 50m.

IC Rank(s) and OOC Donation Rank(s) on CWRP: (IC) - Head of Battalion, Jedi Initiate

Do you own a working microphone? When you communicate do you type or speak: I currently own a blue Yeti USB microphone it works and when I communicate I mostly speak unless I for whatever reason have to type

When did you join the server? Have you taken any breaks since: I joined on the 06/01/2022 i have not taken any breaks since joining except from some LOA's (24 that are often 4-7 days long a good amount of those 24 were just for Jedi back when I used to play Jedi)

How often do you use our Teamspeak 3 server, CWRP Discord and our forums: I am in TS often as most the people I speak to while playing PC are there, I use the discord very often being able to check updates on what's going on the server while even LOA is useful for my job as HOB and allows me to stay in contact with the rest of the server, I use the forums often to read and write applications.

State all your previous OOC punishments (bans, kicks etc.) and a screenshot of your list of warns. (Go in game and type !warns.) Upload it to http://imgur.com/ or as a steam community screenshot and include the link). Your game time must be visible as well in the screenshot. (Type !time then open warns menu, and drag the menu so chat is visible with the time): I have one ban from back when I first started for LTARP as I was playing scav and quit to avoid being Arrested I understand now this was unacceptable and ruined the RP as I was caught fair and square and have not done it since

I have one warn for RDM I received this warning for saber-throwing FLASH who was a staff member at the time by accident twice you may ask how I managed to do it twice and my answer to that is I play on a laptop that was new at the time so often I would accident click using the touchpad on the laptop but I with no evidence to show I didn't mean it I understand the choice FLASH went with and did not challenge it due to the lack of evidence and I can only say I am sorry

State the role of staff on the server: The roles of a staff member is to uphold server rules and ensure those who break them are punished accordingly as well as ensure that people follow RP as this is an RP server

Have you read the server rules and are you familiar with them? I have read the server rules and I am familiar with them

List of all previous server staff experience: I was an event planner on WG CWRP who had to on occasion deal with staff issues from this I know what deserves what punishment

Do you understand that you can be demoted at anytime with a sufficient reason by a Hierarchy member?: Yes I do

Explain how you would handle these scenarios as a staff member:

1 ) You are told by a Player that somebody is randomly killing other clones:
Outside of the event - I would check Blogs for any deaths involving the reported player using the adv search feature if there are any I would use the replay that is in the Blogs system to find out what happened attempting to gather as much information as possible before confronting the player if I do manage to find out they did it I would pull them for a staff sit ask them why they did what they did after which I would inform them they are being warned for RDM and they can appeal their warn on the forums and then I would post the link to the forums before I would proceed to warn them using the !warn command for example !warn (steamid) RDM or !warn (steamid) RDM x2 etc if however they have killed 3 or more people in one go it would be a 5 day ban + 1 day for each extra person they killed, for example, someone killed 4 people I would first !warn (steamid) MRDM then !xban (steamid) 6d MRDM

In an event - To deal with this I would first begin with checking Blogs and use adv search to find deaths involving this player if there happens to be a player kill I would spectate the player being reported with the spectate command and continue to watch their actions and see if they do it again if I do manage to witness them doing it again I would pull them for a staff sit ask them why they did what they did after which I would inform them they are being warned for RDM and they can appeal their warn on the forums and then I would post the link to the forums before I would proceed to warn them using the !warn command for example !warn (steamid) RDM or !warn (steamid) RDM x2 etc if however they have killed 3 or more people in one go it would be a 5 day ban + 1 day for each extra person they killed, for example, someone killed 4 people I would first !warn (steamid) MRDM then !xban (steamid) 6d MRDM

2 ) You are asked by a Cadet to be trained using the @ function: I would take the claim going to the cadet and telling them I will get one for them I would then go to a battalion member and ask them to send an NCO+ to train a cadet if they fail to do that I would ask in ooc are there any volunteers to train a cadet before I TP someone I would wait around a minute and a half to get an answer before choosing someone myself

3 ) During a debrief, a CT accidentally shoots someone, whilst trying to safety their weapon: overall I would understand the mistake and leave it to be dealt with IC

4 ) A CT #### doesn't salute you, despite you being a rank higher than 2nd LT: this is not a staff issue and is to be dealt with IC

5 ) Someone commits FailRP, but claims that the specific instance of FailRP is not explicitly stated within the server rules: I would assess the situation to see if it was in fact FailRP and I would inform the person that said "it is not explicitly stated within the rules" that if they look to rule 1.5.1 that states "not all situations can be listed and it is down to using common sense and for non-listed situations, it is down to staff members to decided" after informing them I would speak with my fellow staff members to get a general thought on whether what they did was fail RP and if they should be warned after coming to a general consensus I would do what was decided amongst the staff on at the time whether this be giving them a verbal warning, warning them or kicking them due to this being their 3rd or more warning about this behaviour

6 ) You bring a player into a sit and punish them accordingly, however they do not agree with your punishment and keep on arguing: I would attempt to defuse the situation by informing them on the places they can appeal whatever their punishment might be and give them the link to whatever might be needed and also the link to the staff abuse section on the forums

Explain in length and detail as to why you deserve staff more than other applicants. Explain what you will bring to the staff team and your strongest assets as a person/potential staff member (250+ words):

I think I'm the right person for the job because I've used ULX on the server with my time in event planner. So, I already know the basics, like what kind of punishments fit different situations. I've handled a bunch of staff situations, and with my current rank on the server, I've spent a lot of time here. During this time, I've been a part of different parts of the server, like my time in 501st as a medic with the roleplay involved in that and dealing with in-character problems that sometimes become out-of-character issues.

Because of all this, I can easily tell when a staff member needs to step in and when they don't have to. I've had plenty of experience making decisions in staff situations, and understanding the connection between in-character roleplay and what's happening out of character. This makes me a good fit for the role, bringing a mix of knowledge of ULX, and being involved in different aspects of the server.
Outside of the server, onto myself as a person, I can "read the room," understanding when I need to be serious and when I can be more lenient. I understand when certain situations are out of my depth, and I am not afraid to ask for help. This allows me to ensure the decisions I make are the correct ones, and I don't often have to go back on those decisions due to this.

This has been my staff application I thank you for reading it and hope I receive feedback on how to improve
