What O5 Designation would you prefer (1-12) and what character?:

O5-2 “The Countryman”

A man in his sixties somewhere from the countryside in Europe, he lacks manners and doesn’t favour modern methods of doing some things, is a realist and pessimist but a nice old man. He loves a good chat with someone except for when they mess up. He likes things being perfect and can't stand when something didn't go as it was planned, especially very simple orders, which in this site are very hard to follow as we all know.

Why do you believe you should be part of the O5 Council and what can you bring to the role e.g (Pressure in extreme situations, making tough decisions): What can I bring by being an O5? Well everyone brings something, some can talk smooth, some can be online during a Plague event without being afraid of a PK, and some just over glorify what they can bring to the table just to look shiny and stand out in the crowd of apps where what matters in the end, is what the other Council members really think of you. Of course, many basic things are expected of an O5, you know, like the ability to talk to people, roleplay, not break down and cry, making decisions without needing a cane that gives you the best answer to everything to lean on. Of course, I, Philips Keter, could just say ‘’I will bring good dupes’’, but, that is just a cheap shot. Honestly, what have I been building up to with all this rambling? Well, I have noticed that, what O5s bring most, are their personalities, their characters and interactions. All of them can do the things they each describe in their apps, like tough decisions and other things. What I am saying, is that I will try to bring a new personality to the table, I don’t want the fancy, ‘’look I have 5 degrees, 3 billion$ in my back pocket and am in my twenties’’ O5 . I want to bring a more rough character with a bit of a personality not that of the usual O5.

Can you explain what an O5 does for the foundation and the site itself and why he himself differs from any other site Administration?:

First let us explore, how he differs from other site admins. Firstly, an Overseers actions can hold much, much more consequences than other Foundation Administration actions. Not just in the scale that they can make much more, Foundation and possibly world-changing decisions that other Administration can’t. Even things like relations and ordering units on site can have larger consequences. They can make more bold and drastic moves without being questioned as much as if someone of a lower rank gave that order. Now, what does an O5 really do for the Site/Foundation? Well, in lore they micromanage Thaumiels and Appolyons, maybe keep an eye on some Keter class SCPs, make a vote once or twice a month. But what do they really do here? Depending on the time, sometimes they will have nothing to do, sometimes, a civil war is happening and a godlike deity is trying to hunt them down cause of something they said. But realistically, maybe make some votes on things when something happens, maybe shout at an SD, maybe execute a Nu-7 for being in contact with some anomaly that you didn’t like. All while either sitting in your office or walking around the site waiting for who the next person that will say ‘’Hello O5, we have a CI in cells please come deal with him’’ like you would care about that. As a summary of what an O5 does, it really depends on what he is into and what is happening at the time, they make orders and overrule shit ones made by lower rank personnel.

What is the O5 Council?:

For this question, you could just make a summary of other apps answers for this and add some fancy words, but just like HoMD apps, the question is the same, and more or less the answer to it as well. The O5, they are the Top Brass of the Foundation. As I am sure many of you know, especially anyone in HoEA who has ever tried doing relations with a group, they have lots of power and like to overrule lots of things. They make votes on important things, and just do as they think is right with the small things. There are very few limits to what they do, and what they can’t do. The only thing stopping them from doing completely retarded shit are ECMs and other O5s, (also SMT sometimes). As a summary of what O5 are, top of foundation, top-secret, people who make votes and detonate nukes when shit hits the fan.

Owner of HoMD, ECM, Head of Infrastructure(HR).

What Department would you like to focus on? (Research, Mobile Task Forces, Ethics,...):

I would like to focus on containment. Containment of SCPs, Anomalies, POIs and POWs etc. Anything to do with keeping a thing tight and secure. But it’s not even limited to living or abnormal things of nature, also information and anything that can be and should be kept away from people. That is what I would like to focus on with the Countryman.
