  6. Releasing someone is a arrest-able offence that is set in stone it is not his fault for your mistake. Also what Units said is also correct if the CG didn't do anything he could of been told off for FailRP when you did a IC decision

If someone is confused with the rules you are there to help him understand the rules and tell him how to avoid it in the future. When it comes to rule breakers you must be open minded due to it could be a simple issue such as a misclick or miscommunication. But when it comes to people joining the server just to minge and is NH2RP the staff member should be extremely strict on them and should be harsh on the punishment (e.g verbal warning,Kick then ban). In situations where it's a RP situation, the staff member should never intervene in RP situations, unless it is extremely important such as MRDM or MRDA, if it’s RDM or RDA you must wait until that RP situation is finished Give some context about setting of C24 within the Half Life universe (150 words +): City 24 is based in Geneva, Switzerland, Europe. These cities were created after the 7 hour war when the portals storms opened up allowing Zen creatures to enter. These cities were built to protect the citizens and are controlled by the CIty Administrators. People refer to the city as “The Royal CIty” due to its harsh dictatorship. This city is controlled by the combine, but they didn’t go the same route as most of the other cities, they used mass propaganda and manipulation. They keep an eye on everything and they are extremely brutal towards civilians. Personally the city reminds me of a communist state USSR with the combine patrolling the street and keeping “everything safe” and in order. While they are looking for people closely they are extremely brutal if they are to find something that they find Resistance ish and will give punishment for what they deserve is right. The combine patrols the streets extremely frequently, this is to look for the resistance that are usually in the ruins of the buildings or the sewers. List of all previous server staff experience: All the staff experience that I have had is all been on roleplaying servers. The server’s i have been a staff member on are, Pixel Servers PrisonRP, InterstellarRP DarkRP. I’ve been a staff member between these servers for roundabout 1 and a half years. On some servers I have helped and organised some in-game events like Prison Riot, or simple fun OOC games. List of all previous RP experience: W-G SWRP (501st CPT), Pixel Servers PrisonRP, DarkRP Police chief, Synergy Roleplay SWRP (CG PVT), Icefuse.net (Jedi Guardian) Have you added the Manager on Steam? Explain how you would handle these scenarios as a staff member: 1 ) You are told by a player in admin chat that another player is randomly killing people: I would first find out who RDM someone, if the person isn’t in a RP scenario i would then go to them or bring him somewhere safe and excluded from anyone else. I would then ask why they killed him, if it was an accident such as a misclick i would remind them to make sure it doesn’t happen again, if it’s not an accident and they did it on purpose i would give them a warning for RDM and remind them not to do it again. 2 ) You are asked by a player about how to join a faction: At first i would ask that player what faction they would like to join, from that i would explain to them about that faction and what do they do, after they said which one they would like to join, i would then say how and where to join the decided faction (e,g Lambda in the sewers and you have to be chosen or CWU going and asking for a job there). If they didn’t know where to go I would give them directions and show them where it is and how to get there. 3 ) You catch somebody not performing RP and messing around: If i am on duty and notice someone not RPing and just messing around or wasting peoples time, i would then go to the person, ask him to stop messing around and carry on RPing. If they stop and start taking it seriously i would leave it there, if they continue to minge about i will go to the person again and warn them one more time saying if you don't stop wasting people time and ruining there RP experience we will have to kick you from the server, if they carry on i would then kick then. If they come back and they are NH2RP i would then ban for 1-2 days. 4 ) Somebody acquires a rank but is not willing to RP with it properly: If the person is not new to the server I would give them a warning and if it was really serious, report to there hierarchy. If it was a new player i would ask them to look over the rules and give them a verbal warning, 5 ) A player is prop spamming: I would go to the person Prop Spamming ask them politely to remove the props and refrain from doing that again, if they carry on it, i would personally delete the prop if my rank allows it then return myself, after i have sorted out with that situation i would then use ULX Spectate that person for abit to make sure they aren't prop spamming, if they are i would then remove the props again and warn him for Prop spamming. If they carry on I would then freeze them and kick them from the server for NH2RP/Prop minge/spamming. 6 ) Somebody does not agree with the outcome of an RP situation therefore he decides to break RP and act OOC: I would tp to the person, ask them what happened and why they think it’s unfair. After i would give the reason the RP situation ended in the way it ended and then i would ask them to please stay in RP form, during the situation and after it. I would then give a verbal warning. If they carry on, I would then give a warning for FailRP. If they decide to carry on, I would mute for a short amount of time and keep raising it. 7 ) You bring a player into a sit and punish him however he does not agree with your decision and keeps arguing: If i brought them to a sit and punished the person, i would first give my thinking process and why i decided to give the punishment i did,if they carry on to argue with me. I would then refer them to the werwolf gaming forums and where to send an appeal for my punishment. During the whole situation I would not raise my voice or get angry or start swearing. It would make me/the staff team look unprofessional and at all times I would try and avoid that. If they decided to carry on, after I ended the sit and claim. I would start to mute them for a really short amount of time and keep extending it for how long they push it. 8 ) Someone commits FailRP but claims the specific instance of FailRP you warned him for is not explained in detail within the rules: I would first give the correct punishment, then i would explain to them in detail about the rule and why to avoid to avoid doing that, if they can.If they try to complain that the SMT doesn't go into detail with one of the rules, I would politely remind them that they are extremely busy as it is and I would say i will discuss it with SMT. 9 ) A player evidently breaks a rule however he makes a good point in his defence by abusing loopholes within the rules: If they broke the rule, I would first take the sit as properly, if they broke FailRP i would then warn them, if they try and then find loophole in the rules i would remind them that finding loopholes can be warnable, if they try and carry on. I would talk to SMT about it, if they have been told off about it and let them deal with the situation, unless I have been told what to do. Answer the following questions in detail: 1 ) Explain the difference between Tier I rule-breaking and punishments and Tier II rule-breaking and punishments: Tier I rule breaking, breaking the rules with no intention of breaking them/doing it on accident. Tier I rule breakers are usually to most of the time new players joining the server for the first time.Most examples of Tier I rule breakers would be FailRP or RDM. There really shouldn’t be a punishment for a Tier I rule breaker, A fair punishment for Tier I rulebreaking would be a verbal warning and then after talking to them about the rules. Tier II rule breaker, is when someone is breaking the rules intentionally, most examples of Tier II rule breaking could be MRDM, FailRP and meta gaming, The correct punishment depends on the situation, if it was FailRP and Meta gaming, they should receive a warning as punishment but if it comes to MRDM it should inherit a instant ban from the server. 2 ) Explain the difference between IC and OOC. Also define Meta Gaming in relation with the two: In character is when you are roleplaying and you are in the HL2 universe, when you are IC, you follow what your hierarchy says and do your job. If you are in IC you do not say anything OOC. IC should be character development about your character. an example of IC in HL2RP, if you have been gagged by a CP for a reason, you should not be talking at all and act like you're gagged. OOC(Out of character) : Is for everything out of RP, it shouldn’t affect your status or character at all, an example of OOC, could be an admin situation and you should be acting like yourself during that situation. Metagaming is abusing a out of character action for a RP advantage against someone, an example of meta gaming, is that someone in the OOC chat mentions that they are going to take the police armoury, then a police officer goes to the armory with no RP intentions for why they went there. 3 ) Explain the difference between Serious RP and Semi-Serious RP: SeriousRP is when the actions you do and say affect your IC character, you are meant to stay IC until you are done with that RP situation. Semi Serious RP is when you are able to talk OOC, usually you are in Semi Serious RP, unless there is an event. YOu can talk OOC without getting a IC punishment 4 ) Explain the difference between PassiveRP and CombatRP, explain your view on their importance in our gamemode: PassiveRP is using a RP situation to usually build on a character's development and should help other factions look for new players, a passiveRP event in the eyes of HL2RP could be CP getting some citizens and CWU to carry guns and equipment to another location, it could be a simple training exercise. CombatRP is RP situations that are revolving combat events happening, in a HL2RP server a lot of combat events. In HL2RP server CombatRP event could be lambda seeking to take over a cargo train or truck, it could be a simple street fight between CP and civilians. PassiveRP and Combat RP are both equally important as each other in the HL2RP universe, even if one faction is more CombatRP, they should still act like they would if they were doing combat RP during a PassiveRP situation 5 ) Define the term of Combat Baiting: Combat baiting is doing actions to instigate combat, a way of combat baiting is having your weapons out, another way of combat baiting in HL2RP would be standing in front of a CP or saying your resistance and to shoot them. Combat baiting is banned from most to all of the servers. 6 ) Define Power Gaming / Power RP: Power Gaming or Power RP, is when someone uses a RP action to get an advantage over someone so in return the other player can’t do anything, this is most used during gunfights. An example of power gaming would be if there was a gun fight then halfway through the fight someone puts /me shoots through the head, and doesn’t have a weapon out. That would class as power gaming 7 ) Define the term FailRP: FailRP is doing something in a roleplay situation that is not probable, or impossible to commit to doing in that situation. A big example of FailRP, is when civilians have been brought in for interrogation, during them getting brought into the room. They have been gagged by doing /me gags. The civilian decides to keep talking, that is one of the main examples of FailRP. 8 ) Define the term FearRP: FearRP, mainly means afraid to die. So if you are under FearRP situations e.g Someone pointing a gun at you. You will listen to them and follow their orders because the IC character is afraid to die. An example of FearRP, could be a CP pointing a gun to your head, and asking you to come with them for interrogation. Under FearRP you follow it and listen to what they say, because you are scared to die. Explain in length and detail as to why you deserve staff more than other applicants. Explain what you will bring to the staff team and your strongest assets as a person/potential staff member (250+ words): The reasons I believe that I am a good fit for the staff team, is due to my dedication I can have in the community. When I joined the Werwolf community I instantly started giving my dedication to SWRP, I really enjoy the servers that Werwolf has released. I believe that is one of the reasons I should be picked for staff. Another reason I should be picked for staff is my experience. I have been a staff member for about one and a half years. This experience has taught me how to act during a Staff Sit, the mentality you have to be, Being open minded as well. I know and understand all the ULX commands that mods should be using in most of the situations. I would like to become staff, so people that want to enjoy playing HL2RP can have a good and fun experience. I want to make sure people don’t have their RP experience ruined by someone screaming down the microphone or saying unneeded racist slurs at people. The reason i started to become a staff member in general is so people can calmly play and have fun without some MRDMer coming and ruining it for everyone because i was that person. I see a lot of potential for the server and the concept is there, and I want to make that concept clear to people. Another reason i should be picked for staff is my knowledge around HL2RP, i think that knowing Lore knowledge is really important as well as knowing how to staff, if the admin or moderator doesn't understand lore knowledge, they could be potentially giving False warnings for a RP situation . I believe my lore knowledge is up to par for what staff should know so i have a less chance of giving false warnings. I want to help make this server a fun enjoyable experience and that is the reason i think i should be chosen for staff. Requirements: - You must be 15 years in age or older. - You must be able to speak and type English fluently, quickly and correctly. - You must have at least four (4) days of play time. Unnecessarily spamming/bumping your application will get it denied.   16. There isn't enough information about the situation, for anything to be said about a appeal, if you accidentally killed someone and you had no intention of doing it, then it should not be a perma ban. But i dont think a staff member would perma ban you for RDM

  18. +1 for most of the staff app But when it comes to RDM, really it shouldn't be a ban, only a warn. Also a staff member should be a role model, in RP situations if you are not fully 100% of what to do. Also not alot of detail when it comes to offenses e.g FailRP and Combat baiting. Having your weapon out isnt the only way to combat bait, yes its probably most common, but even insulting a CP then running away from then is combat baiting
