I partially agree with Cameron too and was half considering hiding this app, this means a lot though, been busy with some other hobbies but I'll have to log on and get active again, the whole SCP style was what I was going for, was inspired by Ubers style then laid it out like many SCP files I've seen. List of all previous server staff experience: N/A Do you understand that you can be demoted at anytime with a sufficient reason by a Hierarchy member?: I am fully aware Explain how you would handle these scenarios as a staff member: 1 ) You are told by a Player that somebody is randomly killing other clones: The first thing I do is open up the in game notepad, I take down the Players name an then ask for the name of the mass rdmer in question, I take that down and then go to an out of the way location. I bring the person in question and ask them about what's going on, I check logs and also check for any similar claims regarding the player, once listening to the defense of the player I take all factors into account and punish them accordingly, informing the person in question either that it was a mistake/false report or that what they did was wrong and that they were being punished. If it turns out that the person in question was clean I bring the original reporter, I ask them if they were sure they saw that person specifically killing clones, I check claims to see if anyone else reported mass rdm, if I think the claim was in ill intent I will punish the reporter for a false report, If in fact other people did report mass rdm I will bring them to verify the identity of the perpetrator. 2 ) You are asked by a Cadet to be trained using the @ function: I ask the cadet if they asked using advert already, if not I'll get them to advert they need a trainer, I'll also ask in OOC, if no one comes I'll check for any NCOs on, depending on the situation I'll either ask a Batt to order one to train the cadet or just bring one over, if worst comes to worst I'll train them myself, I wouldn't mind to be completely honest. 3 ) During a debrief, a CT accidently shoots someone, whilst trying to safety their weapon: If its only one or two shots and if it doesn't look like they were aiming or anything I won't act immediately, I'll wait till after the debrief and phys them to the side and tell them how to better safety/holster their weapon. 4 ) A CT #### doesn't salute you, despite you being a rank higher than 2nd LT: Unless we're in a formal situation I won't do anything, I'm a Major and I'm not going to enforce that rule while just casually strolling around base, if anyone salutes me that's a bonus but I don't care. It would be different in the situation of a higher rank but I'm not important enough to justify enforcing that. 5 ) Someone commits FailRP, but claims that the specific instance of FailRP is not explicitally stated within the server rules: "Please remember that any attempts to find a loophole in any of these rules will result in harsher punishments! Please also be aware that just because a rule isn't written in this thread but would be considered detrimental to the role play experience of players, doesn't mean you can do it, USE INITIATIVE!" Wow look at thiconvenient little block of ts ext, of course I would inform them that we couldn't possibly state every single instance of FailRP within the rules, if they still argue I would inform them that if they don't agree with their punishment that they can always appeal, I would then punish them and send them on their way. 6 ) You bring a player into a sit and punish them accordingly, however they do not agree with your punishment and keep on arguing: I inform them that I used my best judgement to punish them fairly and if they don't agree with said judgement that they can appeal on the forums. Explain what you will bring to the staff team and your strongest assets as a person/potential staff member (250+ words): I haven't been on the server for long and in Garry's Mod I have had virtually zero experience moderating or using moderation tools however I am pretty active, I'm happy to chat and although I may have a slightly mingey reputation I know when to be serious, I understand that I can not joke around using staff powers, I can not use staff to minge and I won't. I have never been warned, I'd like to think I have good friends here and a decent reputation, anything I have done has been rather tame, just some joking about as scav or refugee I know that as a staff member I will have to lead a better example and I hope that I have never given any of you any trouble, I know when to draw the line and I know that other staff have better judgement than me, I hope that working under more experienced staff will not only increase my knowledge and understanding of the server but will allow me to acquire new skills and help out the community where I can. I have good understanding of the lore of star wars, I'd like to think I'm pretty kind and laid back I'd also like to think I'm approachable, I will dedicate my time to bettering the server and its players and I just want to improve the experience and assist other staff, being CE I'd like to imagine I have good understanding of a wide range of server addons(mostly lfs) and I'm used to making binds, I do not expect to be accepted on this application but I hope in some way if I'm accepted or not I can help out the community and I will definitely use this application as a step towards that.
