    What is the Battalion Motto: Lead your men to death. Honour is better than surrender

     


    Describe the roles and responsibilities of Battalion (100 words minimum): The responsibilities of a battalion member to me is to be a dedicated leader both during events and around the base. A battalion member must try his very best to be a role model to the newer members of the server demonstrating how they should conduct them selves both during events and around main base in trainings or off base on patrols. One of the many roles of a a battalion member is to lead the republic during attacks on different planets or when one of many bases currently under attack. Another role of a battalion member is to teach both new and old members how they should conduct them selves either in not messing about or performing well during trainings. Furthermore another role of a battalion member is to use the voice amp effectively during events to relay orders to the regiments and to get the troops organised either for a base defence or a planetary attack. Another role out of the many a battalion member has is to assist what ever regiment he is assigned to supervise either in helping in doing NCO trainings if allowed , leading effective trainings that would benefit newer members and adding SO's if needed do try-outs. Finally a role of a battalion member is to be a mentor to newer members joining battalion and aiding the Batt command and admiralty any way that they need either as a senior battalion member or as one of the many up and coming battalion


    Why should we pick you for Battalion (200 words minimum): One of the many reasons I think I should be picked for battalion is due to my ability to lead during events as I managed to prove this while in CT as i not only had to give orders to the NCO+ on what they needed to do but assist in the new players that had just joined the server and keeping them organised. Another reason I think I should be picked for Battalion is my ability to keep the player base following the rules which I demonstrated while in CG, arresting players regardless of rank as when your battalion you need to keep the best standards. Another reason is my past experience within battalion itself as I wouldn't need that much training and I would understand the basics from the off set. 

    Another reason as to why I feel that I would be a good choice for battalion is due to my friendly nature and open personality which allows me to engage with both new and old people on the server either in training scenarios or just having a fun conversation on random topics that have happened that day. I feel that is a good trait to have in battalion as it allows newer plays to speak to me either as a battalion members about wanting to learn new things about the server or there opinion and stuff happening within the server. 

    Furthermore I feel that I would be a good option for battalion due to my commitment to what ever reg I join as I plan to stay there for a while and try my best to help improve it in anyway I can, either in bringing new members in and to make it more appealing to others that would think about wanting to join or bringing the regiment to be more vocal with each other and in general allow the regiment to have fun while on the server as a whole squad and I feel I could do that even more while in battalion as you are seen as a more of a senior member to the server. Finally I feel I would be a good choice for battalion as if I need to I wont allow my friendships with people on the server affect any decisions that I make as I always try my best to make things as even as possible and I feel that is important for a battalion member to not have bias in there choices and said choices should be made for the benefit of everyone as a whole and not just a select group.

    What do Battalion do during combat, when they are not leading (In detail): When any battalion is in combat but not leading they must prioritise there current regiment in which they are supervising and aiding in there responsibilities on the battlefield Another thing that a non leading battalion member would do during combat is leading the regiment they supervise if no current CO plus is online and would organise that regiment a relay orders that they get to that regiment. For example if no CO plus is online for 41st the non leading batt would get them onto a high vantage point and provide support with the sniper unless told different orders. A final thing that a non leading batt can do is due to the lack of CE or members that know how to fly can aid in troop transport with there LAAT if granted by the leading Batt

     


    What are the 3 duties a Battalion Officer Cadet has to complete before getting promoted?

    1) Host an open training

    2) Lead a base attack

    3) Lead a planetary and perform a debrief

    Anything else?: I know that I'm not a major but I would like my previous rank and time played be taken into account but the only reason I left was due to the birth of my son and all my time needed to be focused on him but I feel I would be able to be a battalion member quite well but if not I understand.     When did you join the server? Have you taken any breaks since: Joined over three years ago and yes taken breaks in between but when i played i was active everyday

    State the role of staff on the server: The role of a staff member is to uphold the IC and OOC rules while on the server, assisting in questions to with the server whether that be new rules or questions to newer players as well as aiding players both for trainings , getting unstuck and setting up SIM's.

    Explain how you would handle these scenarios as a staff member:

     

    1 ) You are told by a Player that somebody is randomly killing other clones: 

    I would first check the logs of the person that's killing clones to prove they have actually been RDM'ing. If they have been RDM'ing then I would pull them into a staff sit, explain to them that this is not acceptable and give them a warn for RDM and if a certain amount of players have been killed i would issue them with a ban

    2 ) You are asked by a Cadet to be trained using the @ function: I would take the claim and go to the cadet and ask how long they have been waiting for a trainer. I would then ask a Batt member online either in a PM or OOC could they send someone and once they do I would TP the player to me give them a Phyis and tool gun if they don't have one and let them train the cadet.

     

    3 ) During a debrief, a CT accidently shoots someone, whilst trying to safety their weapon: I believe that if the CT shot only one bullet accidents happen and they should get a speaking to by the CG but if they was to shoot off about 7 bullets then I would freeze them and take them to a sit and explain that what they are doing is RDM and then give them a warn. 

     

    4 ) A CT #### doesn't salute you, despite you being a rank higher than 2nd LT: Me personally I don't believe that its something anyone ever does outside a Mando and so it would bother me if they did or didn't 🙂

     

    5 ) Someone commits FailRP, but claims that the specific instance of FailRP is not explicitally stated within the server rules: Even though they don't believe what they have done isn't FailRP i would explain what they have done is FailRP and show them the rules and regulations of the server. After explain this to them I would give them the appropriate warn but explain if they don't agree with the warm to make a forum post to get other views on the matter.

     

    6 ) You bring a player into a sit and punish them accordingly, however they do not agree with your punishment and keep on arguing: If the player feels that the punishment is unjust I will explain to them the rule that they broke just so they could get a better understanding of this and provide a link to the rules and regulations of the server so they can read it themselves. If they continue to argue about this then I will give them a minute to calm down in the sit and if the arguing continues I send them a link to the forums to explain if the warn is unjust so that they can get other views on the matter and if the senior staff agree then the warn can be removed.

     

     

    Explain in length and detail as to why you deserve staff more than other applicants. Explain what you will bring to the staff team and your strongest assets as a person/potential staff member (250+ words):

    I personally believe that I should be staff over others as I already have some experience with using the ulx on this server in terms of having to give weapons , set spawns handle large groups of people that sometimes don't always listen and explaining the rules to potentially new individuals that join the server from being a former EP of the server. Further more from being EP I have got the experience from having to potentially take staff claims when staff wasn't online and even had to ban someone for RDM late night. From this I feel that it would take me less time with getting to grips with how the ulx systems work and understanding it more properly in terms of a staff member. Another reason as to why I feel like I deserve staff over other is due to me being a quick learner when it comes to knowing commands for different weapons or have to set the spawns of SIM jobs for training and if I do get stuck I'm not afraid to ask other staff members to help out in that regard and ask other higher ranking staff how to do things so that I can learn from them and get better at being a staff member. Furthermore another reason as to why I feel like I would be a good choice for staff is my friendly nature to other members around the server and my personality to talk to anyone either good or bad as I feel communication is a big part of staff when either helping new players with understand the rules of the server of how they should try and approach things better or with more experienced players on they should conduct them selves in case they have broken some rules. Furthermore another reason as to why I feel like I would be a good staff member is due to my outlook on situations as if someone makes a mistake I can understand that mistakes happen and I'm always fair when it comes to listening to both parties that have been involved in a altercation but also my strictness as if high ranking or long time players are breaking the rules I'm not afraid to give them a warn or tell say "you shouldn't do that" as its not fair to others that could do the same but get a more serve punishment. Overall I feel I would benefit the staff time in a positive way and my time on the server through both IC and OOC has helped me to learn the way things work and engage positively with the community as a whole

    State the role of staff on the server: Role of a staff member is to issue that people are following both IC and OOC rules of the server and if its needed sometimes intervene when players not doing that.

    Always fair and willing to help anyone needed - Great quality for BATT

    Always had a positive interaction with him and would love to see him in Batt

    Overall 442nd is in a great position with current hierarchy and have good SO's to fill the role. Tasker would be a great addition if accepted

    Previous Batt and think we do very well if he performs like he did in CE

    - Overall would do very well and with the people around you could go very far in BATT

    Additional HP for 442nd Jobs

    When your aim is to help push areas the 100 extra HP is a big help especially for ET's plus I don't think people take explosives into effect as you could have a row of 4 ET's all in a line then 1 EC shoots a rocket or throws a grenade which does a lot of dmg. then boom wall gone.

    The points that both Aleks and Henk have already said + this was a thing for DU when it was still a thing before being changed to 442nd so I can understand the -1's

    Ultimately both points are valid its just the way you look at it really. Toast 🙂 

    104th ARC Jetpack

    What your suggestion is: Let 104th ARC have the jetpack with no guns as standard 

    Scriptfodder/workshop link: On the server already

    Any additional information: I think it would let them still use the main point of 104th while not losing a weapon they may enjoy using like the E-22. Just like how CG ARC get the riot shield and stun gun etc
