State the role of staff on the server: The Role of staff is to enforce the rules set by the Server Management team, it is important that the Staff Team enforce these rules in order to ensure that the community are not having a ruined experience, and can enjoy the server without worrying about any occurring any issues which may hinder their roleplaying abilities. Additionally, they are tasked with ensuring that the server can run smoothly, outside of maintaining the server rules, by completing tasks such as: Helping with Sims, Giving Weapons, Slaying, Spawning Vehicles, all of which that are vital in keeping the server running smoothly and ensuring that the player is maximising their enjoyment

Explain how you would handle these scenarios as a staff member:




1 ) You are told by a Player that somebody is randomly killing other clones:  Initially, i would accept the claim teleport to the user who has created the claim, i would then ask them for a name to whom they are reporting, once a name has been received i will check blogs and gather evidence via combat logs such as Damage, i will decide whether the harming of other clones was indeed intentional or not by further looking into the combat logs, looking at what they were aiming at, if they was anything in the same direction such as EC which could differentiate between an accident or on purpose. Once i have gathered my information and decided on my final judgement, i will initially explain to the user who initially created the claim explaining my judgement, and what will happen with them, after this i will teleport the User who is being accused if my judgement concludes them being guilty, then i would give them the correct punishment and explain to them what was happened, i would give them a link to the rules and a link to the forums if they think the warn was incorrect and they want to appeal it.




2 ) You are asked by a Cadet to be trained using the @ function: Firstly, I would teleport to the Cadet who made the claim and explain to them that i will be bringing them a trainer very shortly, initially, i will check if any battalion is present and will attempt to inform them that a cadet is in need of training, and ask them to send an NCO, if nobody is present to do this then i would type a message in OOC, asking for any volunteers who want to train a cadet, if i do not receive any volunteers after a set period of time, i will search for the lowers ranking NCO’s online, prioritising the CT Drill NCO’s and begin to teleport them individually until a suitable trainer is found




3 ) During a debrief, a CT accidently shoots someone, whilst trying to safety their weapon: As a Staff Member i would act on this event as it is purely an in character action meaning it is the responsibility of the clones to sort this out, however if this action was to occur over an extended period of time, and become more common then i would begin to watch them to see if it accidental, and not beginning to be on purpose.




4 ) A CT #### doesn't salute you, despite you being a rank higher than 2nd LT: I would do nothing as a staff member as once again this is an in character matter and should be dealt with via clones in character.




5 ) Someone commits FailRP, but claims that the specific instance of FailRP is not explicitally stated within the server rules: Initially i would tell the user who has broken the FailRP rule and explain to them why it is failRP, i will also explain that using common sense is implied and loopholes around already existing rules is forbidden and shouldn't be done. Therefore, I would let the user off with a verbal warning, if this is then a recurring matter then I will warn them, if the User is still arguing that the warning is invalid then I would redirect them to the forums where they can appeal the warning which they have received.




6 ) You bring a player into a sit and punish them accordingly, however they do not agree with your punishment and keep on arguing: I would firstly, explain what rules they have broken and explain to them why i have chosen this punishment, if they keep on arguing that the warn is invalid when i will present them with a link to the Server Rules, and a link to the forums where they are able to appeal the warn, however if the user is still arguing and becoming to be disrespectful and waste time, then i would verbally warn them to stop, meaning that if they continue to carry on arguing and complaining, then they would be warranted another warn for wasting staff time






Explain in length and detail as to why you deserve staff more than other applicants. Explain what you will bring to the staff team and your strongest assets as a person/potential staff member (250+ words):


I have been apart of this community for just under 2 years now, during this time i have learnt and understood the importance that staff brings to the server, they are needed actively in order to enforce the server rules and therefore ensuring that the server runs smoothly, I personally believe, that i am fit for this role in the community due to the reason that i have a lot of spare time which i already dedicate to the server itself, therefore i am willing to spend the time instead, helping out the community and ensuring that they are enjoying the server. Additionally, after the year nearly two i have played this server i wish to give back to the community, and offer my services into the staff team and help the community.


During my time on the server, and the positions i have been in, i have always been surrounded by staff members, both of those who have been in the lower rankings off the staff teams, and those who have been at the top. Being in this position has allowed me to further understand the responsibility that the staff teams hold and how it impacts the performance off the server. Therefore, being around these people I have understood that it is important to be clear minded when approaching a staff sit, which would benefit me as I see myself as an unbiased and clear minded person.


Another reason that i think i would suit the staff team is that i have already been trusted with ULX and SAM privileges on the server during my time as an event planner, during this time i proved that i could be trusted with these permissions, which were never abused and i still have no intent to abuse said permission if i was to be granted with them again. Additionally, as an Event Planner i learnt basic staffing which i implemented into the server when no Staff Team were present late at night, thus meaning that i already have a general idea and understanding on the staffing system, i understand majority of the commands which are used in day to day staff claims, therefore i believe that relearning and understanding more staff duties would come back easily


Finally, i believe that my strongest strength is my activity, i have tons of spare time which i normally dedicate towards the server, this has been shown during the majority of my time on the server, i have always shown great activity consistently and have took only around 1 or 2 breaks during my time, ontop of this, i do not intend to be taking any breaks anytime soon as i will be given even more spare time which i can therefore dedicate even more to the server, and to the staff team itself.
