 Quick summary about you: My name is Jared, I'm from South Africa and i am 19 years old as stated above. I am currently studying to become a PT(personal trainer) but my main occupation is cricket, i am a junior professional cricket player and an overall sporty guy. I have a lot of time off considering we are at an all time high with our Covid-19 cases. But also because I study mostly online and I train for only 3 hours a day when it comes to cricket. I have always enjoyed gaming, playing with friends and not to mention, i am a big star wars fan! I am a very respectful person and love helping people. Playing games is kind of a routine for me, It's a way to calm down and relax and really disconnect from the stresses of life. I have very good social skills, love writing and I am very confident when it comes to speaking.

 What should we pick you for Battalion: I have always wanted to join Battalion, I love to lead and feel as if I am one of the best at doing so. As i said i have great social skills and love to help people, i know how to and not to interact with certain characters and respect opinions given and i am always open to criticism. I know how to keep my cool and never get so upset to the point where I want to burst into a rage and do something I regret. I think quickly on the spot thanks to my sporty background and I am a very committed person when it comes to doing something I really want to. I love being put under pressure and strive in situations as such. I like involvement and encourage people to always bring something to the table as any good leader should. I don't ridicule people for innocent or not so innocent mistakes but rather offer feedback and I treat them as humans when it comes to discipline. I am very active on the server and always have 160+ hours on Garry' s mod in the past 2 weeks. I am a great trainer and never fail to reach my minimums because that is not what I aim for. Having just recently returned I have gotten members of the week 2 weeks in a row in DU and did about 35-40 cadet logging in my time as an NCO. I love taking initiative and thoroughly enjoy making people better people and improving them in aspects I can assist them with, such as helping fellow NCOs who can't pass their NCO training, for example. I retain information really well, and have great knowledge of the server. When we have mandos I perform exceptionally in them and understand the ins and outs of SWRP on Werewolf Gaming. Im a perfectionist, and while that may be not too great on occasions, I love being organized.

 

Describe the roles and responsibilities of Battalion: Battalion are role models and must act with professionalism and take responsibility for all actions they make. When battalions are on base their job is to make sure the base is running smoothly and must grant or deny requests troopers make. Battalion must also perform training for their regiments and make sure they are in top shape. They must make sure that all cadets are accounted for and must monitor who is in the cadet area. Battalion must roam the base and make sure regiments are being productive and doing something to benefit their troopers. Their main purpose is to lead events correctly and efficiently, they must be concise and confident with orders they give. Higher ranked battalion must ensure the battalion itself runs smoothly and make sure lower battalions are mentored correctly.

 

Have you ever been demoted, banned or kicked: I have been banned before in the past for player pulling but un-banned after I gave evidence that i didn't do it and that i was strictly against it. One of the staff had done it and since i was actively helping the server they tried to pin it on me, but i had shown Harland everything i needed to for him to see i had no involvement in it and was strictly against it since i really support Werewolf SWRP. 

 

Do you understand that Battalion is a very respectable and disciplined rank: Yes.

 

What do Battalion do during Combat, when they are not leading? Battalion must remain with their assigned regiments and support them in battle, however they must not assume control over the regiment they are supervising, the commanding officer from the regiment is in charge of that. But he can give orders he thinks will benefit troopers, such as placing a trooper on a barricade.

 

What are the 3 duties a Battalion Officer Cadet has to complete before getting promoted as part of his mentoring session?

 Lead a base attack

Call and perform a good debrief

To perform a mandatory training

 

What is the job of the Co-Leader during events? The Co-lead must grant or deny minor requests, as the main leader is tasked with making sure all regiments are doing what they are instructed and does not have time to grant all small requests. They may make major decisions with regards to grants and denials but only from permission from the main leader. They may also give any suggestions they think will help sway the battle in their favor

I don't have much to say however I will state why I gave you a -1

 

Firstly, the only reason I know you is because you got banned. So I would recommend making yourself more known in the community.

 

Secondly your highest obtained rank is only Major, this is not a bad thing, it just means you may currently not have much experience compared to other people applying. Maybe if there was more than only 2 spots available then I would neutral however I think for this time there are better applicants.

Pretty much what everyone has said above 

You seem genuine about getting into Batt and you seem like a nice guy but the low playtime, your highest rank only being major and your ban doesn't look too good against the many other candidates. However, your ban was resolved so its not too bad.

Like Pingu said, if there wasn't so much competition over the two existing spots then you probably have a good chance at getting in. I'd say up your playtime and aim for a higher rank before reapplying as this'll show you have gained experience and that you're more fit for the role. Your app is very detailed and from the sound of it you have what it takes to become a good member of Battalion; you just need to get some more experience under your belt and get more well and better known in the community.

As many have said you are a little less known which is not the best for a Battalion app due to the nature of the role. With regards to your ban I believe you and Harland were able to come to an agreement over it so should not be as much as a prominent factor however it is the elephant in the room. As a member of DU, Jared has always been there to help me when I've failed trainings or needed the knowledge to get past a training. He does genuinely have a caring vibe and he is a role model in DU for ETs/NCOs and the like. It may seem like I am just +1-ing him because I am in his regiment but, he really is a nice guy, he can lead well, and he really does look out for his people. Not to mention, he has done way more cadets than probably anyone on the server, and has been MOTW in DU for 3 weeks in a row now! This may not mean much in the grand scheme but, this is what Jared's like once you get to know him. Overall, would be sad to see him leave DU but extremely exciting to see him as a member of Battalion.
