Quick summary about you:

• I am a 18 year old norwegian boy that has a large interest in Star Wars and gaming. I do sadly have a lot of school work and stuff to deal with in my free time, but i still should have enough time for the battalion Job. I would say i am a very nice, energy filled and happy guy, but still someone that isnt afraid of telling people off and punishing when needed. My exams are most likely getting cancelled this week aswell, resulting in me getting way more free time then previously, which i am hoping i could be spending here in battalion. Concerning my activity the last weeks; i have been on an LOA for multiple reasons, but im ready to dedicate myself to this job and the server again now.  If you have any questions feel free to ask, and i will give you an answer (either here or in DMs).

What should we pick you for Battalion:

• I have been a part of community for a long time, and through this period i have learned a lot of stuff regarding how to lead smaller and larger groups of people, aswell as handing out warnings and punishments.
• I got a lot of experience as a commander that i can use to guide whatever regiment i supervise if it is needed, but i will of course not act as an fourth hierarchy member unless it is requested. 
• I would also concider myself as good with making choices, both regarding tactical situations and situations where people are doing stupid shit. I am not slack about everything but i am not an complete asshole either, i want whats best for everyone and not whats the best for myself. 
• I usually see the good in people, and im not afraid of telling them about what i think either. I prefer complimenting people when i see them doing specific things i want from them, instead of shit talking them for everything i feel like they are doing wrong. It makes them more motivated to peform well, and can often result in better results. I will of course speak out if i see something very poor or dissapointing, but I will try to do it in a manner that makes them want to improve upon themselves instead of loosing motivation and getting frustrated.
• I am used to leading the base, hosting sims, and doing a lot of the typical battalion stuff.
• I know almost all of DU very well (i would say), and i belive i might be the best choice for the DU supervisor job because of this. I also have experience with DU and beeing hierarchy, and can make sure the current and future hierarchy does the job how they are supposed to if needed regarding leading the regiment and doing trainings(in a supporting way, I will try to help to the best of my extent).

Describe the roles and responsibilities of Battalion:

• The battalion got multiple highly important roles. The most obvious one is leading the base, which is a wider task then what it seems. This includes everything from dealing with requests, making sure the cadets on the server gets a trainer, and making sure people are getting fair judging by CG.
• You also have a job that consists of leading all the clones on the server during events, and you have to do it in ways that makes sence and is fun for everyone involved (if the EP makes it possible).
• The last important job is supervising regiments, which mainly just consists of making sure people are doing their job, and if they are doing their job correctly within a regiment.
• As a battalion it is important that you try to be a reasonable person that people can look up to, as you are a person people should be comfortable with approaching and asking for help.

Have you ever been demoted, banned or kicked: (If so, explain why): I have never been demoted, banned or kicked.

Do you understand that Battalion is a very respectable and disciplined rank: Yes i do.

What do Battalion do during Combat, when they are not leading?

• When you are not leading, you should stick to the regiment you are supervising, if not ordered otherwise by the event leader. You are not allowed to command anyone around, but you are supposed to aid them with your equipment and you can bring them with you into areas up to CL5 if that is what the regimental commanding officer wishes. If noone from "your regiment" is on, you should play with the same type of playstyle as the regiment you are supervising normally would.

What are the 3 duties a Battalion Officer Cadet has to complete before getting promoted as part of his mentoring session?

1. Lead an successfull event
2. Hold a debrief of decent quality
3. Host a mandatory training that consists of a part with faces, formations and questions.

What is the job of the Co-Leader during events?

• As a battalion co-leader in an event, your main job is aiding the leader by helping him decide on big decisions and helping with granting and/or denying requests.
• If the original event leader dies in action or for some other reasons become unable to lead, you will take over as the main event leader.

 

Other concerns:

I know my rank may be low, but I am confident that i am still more then competent enough for the job, and i dont belive the rank by itself should be a problem. And if it is still a bit scary to take me in this early after my break and LOA, then that is understandable, but if i enjoy battalion as much as i am expecting to i dont think it would be unlikely that i become as active as before (in relation with my free time).

And i know this application came out very late. So if you find it better to let it sit til next Friday if a spot is still open, then i would not mind that personally.

No offense, you were DU CMDR for 4-5 months but you only have 4w 3d playtime?

Also id suggest getting Major first, even when you used to be Major+ in a while.

I got commander with a bit less then 1 week of playtime, and if you do the math (count 4-5 months as 4.5 months, each month as 30 days, and my playtime as a commander as about 3 weeks), it will tell you that i played for about 3.7 hours a day during my time as a commander. I understand if you find that as to little, but personally i would guess that it is enough. 

I have nothing against your statement, but i belive my activity was good for the time i played as a commander. But yeah my rank might be a bit low, i agree with that.
