I joined April 2020. The only bigger break I've taken was when I resigned from GC VC in August, and I came back in December.

I use the TS server and Discord almost non-stop while I'm on the server. I visit the forums every 2 or 3 days.

State the role of staff on the server:

The primary role of a staff member should be making sure that every single player is following the rules and is not making the environment toxic in any kind of a way. They are there to punish accordingly every person that has got no intentions to actually RP.

Yes, I've went through the rules a couple of times.

Yes, I am.

Unfortunately I've got no experience in staffing GMOD RP servers. However, I'm always willing to learn. 

 

Do you understand that you can be demoted at anytime with a sufficient reason by a Hierarchy member?:

Fully.

 

Explain how you would handle these scenarios as a staff member:

 

1 ) You are told by a Player that somebody is randomly killing other clones:

I would find out the name of the player (either by checking logs or asking someone), I'd pull him somewhere where we are not interfering with anyone's RP and again by checking logs I'd decide if it was classed as RDM or MRDM and hence give him the correct punishment. Of course before that, I'll explain everything to the said player so next time he does not make the same mistake. 

 

2 ) You are asked by a Cadet to be trained using the @ function:

I'll tp to the cadet explaining the difference between the @ function and /advert. Afterwards, I'd ask the Battalion to order an NCO to the cadet area. If nobody responded, I'd tp the lowest NCO on. 

 

3 ) During a debrief, a CT accidently shoots someone, whilst trying to safety their weapon:

If the CT is shooting by accident, he then deserves no punishment. I'd briefly explain how to properly safety the weapon so that next time a scenario like this doesn't occur. 

 

4 ) A CT #### doesn't salute you, despite you being a rank higher than 2nd LT:

If I was on my staff job I'd do nothing because it's an IC thing. If I were in my IC job, I still wouldn't do anything because well yes it is a rule, 99% of the CTs don't follow it. I really couldn't care less if a CT didn't salute me. 

 

5 ) Someone commits FailRP, but claims that the specific instance of FailRP is not explicitally stated within the server rules:

Trying to find a loophole in the rules is punishable as it states, so if he was intentionally trying to find a loophole I'd verbally warn him first (of course if he didn't do anything major) and if he kept doing the same thing  warning him would be my option. 

 

6 ) You bring a player into a sit and punish them accordingly, however they do not agree with your punishment and keep on arguing:

I'd explain in a nice way that I am not the one that makes the rules, I just make people follow them. I would also give him a link to the forums where he can freely do an unban/unwarn request if he still thinks that he's right. 

 

Explain in length and detail as to why you deserve staff more than other applicants. Explain what you will bring to the staff team and your strongest assets as a person/potential staff member (250+ words):
I believe that I'm mature and competent enough to join the staff team for quite a few reasons, which I'll list down below without trying to credit myself that much. As some of you might know, this is the second time I've joined and grinded on the server and it's the second time that I've also reached ARC. The first time I joined the server I got up to Colonel quite fast and afterwards I got up to the position of Vice Commander, and now by getting to Lieutenant and ARC again I do believe that this is where competence and maturity are showing. It's true that regimental wise I had more motivation the first time, but my motivation towards the server is as valid as it was back in the day. Also, being a part of hierarchy for some time, I do believe that's where you gain trust. My activity is overall good (Well rn I'm on an ROA because of the afternoon shift in school), but usually I try to be on 50-80 hours every week. I can also hop on whenever I'm needed, and if it's required I can also stay up to a late hour and do all the late night claims, if there's nobody else on. So activity really shouldn't be a problem.  I've got no warns nor bans in almost 1 year of playtime, which is not special at all, but I hope that it adds up to my point that I can be trusted with the staff spot. I also do believe that everyone deserves the correct punishment, no matter if I have to punish a random CT or a close friend of mine. No staff should make any biased decisions. It is true that I've got no ULX experience because I've never staffed on GMOD, but I like learning new stuff and I'd willingly do so. I have been a staff on a couple of popular MC servers back in the day, which might sound like a meme, but I do believe that it gave me some experience in how to talk with people from a staff point of view. Ever since I've joined the community I tried to be involved in it as much as I can, which means I do know many of the people individually. I am a very responsible person so if I ever do make a mistake I'll take all the blame and I'll also try to do twice as better next time. And also I think age adds up to the factor of maturity and judging the severity of the situation accordingly. I will try to solve  everything in a nice way, if that's explaining something to a new CT that is breaking the rules by accident or anything else. I'll give my best to make the server more enjoyable for the new and the current playerbase.
