Galliards Staff Application

______________________________________________________________

In-game name(s): Galliard/Galli

Steam Name: Funky

Steam ID: STEAM_0:0:526644277

Age when applying: 20

What country do you currently reside in? What is your time-zone: United Kingdom-GMT

Can you speak and type English fluently: Yes.

Current total game-time on the server (type !time): 3 Weeks, 5 Days

IC Rank(s) and OOC Donation Rank(s) on CWRP: CT Commander - User

Do you own a working microphone? When you communicate do you type or speak: Yes - Normally communicate through speaking.

When did you join the server? Have you taken any breaks since: I joined in 19th August 2021 and I've been in CT since. No breaks besides a few LOAs and DAs over the course of me playing due to various reasons but no serious break yet.

How often do you use our Teamspeak 3 server, CWRP Discord and our forums: Discord is my primary use out of the three as it's where my regiment calls home. However I have Teamspeak and can be on it more and constantly as it's pinned in my taskbar. I only use the forums for applications or suggestions (before they moved to discord)

State all your previous OOC punishments (bans, kicks etc.) and a screenshot of your list of warns. (Go in game and type !warns.) Upload it to http://imgur.com/ or as a steam community screenshot and include the link). Your game time must be visible as well in the screenshot. (Type !time then open warns menu, and drag the menu so chat is visible with the time): https://imgur.com/a/NtubK3A

State the role of staff on the server: The role of Staff is to enforce the rules set in place and upkeep them so the general playerbase may enjoy their time on the server in peace. They take care of all rule breaks and offences and hand out warnings and further punishements in regards of the offence. They're also in charge of any ooc issue such as dealing with whitelists, medals, setting up sims and general aid to players who ask questions or make claims, they're the bridge between chaos and Anarchy.

Have you read the server rules and are you familiar with them?: I have read the CWRP rules (CWRP Rules) And yes I am familiar, if there are other rules for me to read I will read up on them.

List of all previous server staff experience: I was an Event Planner on an old server back in 2018 where I spent more time dealing with claims due to inactive staff. I have been a discord moderator/admin for a number of community servers since 2017 raging to small servers of 20 people to a 1000. Most notable was my time during a MILSILM where I was the head of moderation for an entire division of soldiers and a big chunck of the server. My experience on Gmod moderation isn't as strong as say my discord but I've seen the claim system and I'm familiar with it and a simple explanation and I can use it.

Do you understand that you can be demoted at anytime with a sufficient reason by a Hierarchy member?: I understand however I would like any feedback on my performance so I could do better next time and be more committed.

Explain how you would handle these scenarios as a staff member:

1 ) You are told by a Player that somebody is randomly killing other clones: I would get the name of the player that is killing people and check the damage logs to see if they are doing it. If found to have done to have ARDM, RDM, MRDM or AMRDM I would drag them into a sit and tell them they're breaking rules and hand out the appropriate infraction and punishment I.g; If they did MRDM I would ban the user for time stated in our guidelines.

2 ) You are asked by a Cadet to be trained using the @ function: Take the claim and TP to them, explain that you don't call staff to be trained but instead point them towards the sign for future use that says to use the /Advert command. But I would let them know I will get them a trainer and look for Battalion/High Command to assign someone to go train. If either Battalion aren't on or NCOs aren't responding I will begin to TP random NCO's until one of them accepts. If they get TP and try to get out of it with no vaild reason I will punish or follow whatever procedure is in place for trying to avoid cadet training.

3 ) During a debrief, a CT accidently shoots someone, whilst trying to safety their weapon: If it was an accident I would just give them a heads up to be careful next time when they try to lower their weapon, I would also tell them they don't need their weapon out for debrief and should be taking keys out to avoid this.

4 ) A CT #### doesn't salute you, despite you being a rank higher than 2nd LT: I don't believe this is really a staff issue as it falls into ic rules and not ooc rules, if I'm on the job while doing staff things I wouldn't count this under failrp (unless the CT actively says he's not saluting for a reason that falls outside of the server and ic. I.g; Doesn't like the person.)

5 ) Someone commits FailRP, but claims that the specific instance of FailRP is not explicitally stated within the server rules: I would explain that the rules are in place for a reason and even if they aren't on the website or any written document, I would go in saying how FailRP is in the name and there isn't really any bypass, although any attempt to bypass or find a loophole will result in further punishment then the punishment that would have been given in the first place.

6 ) You bring a player into a sit and punish them accordingly, however they do not agree with your punishment and keep on arguing: I will try to get a word in to explain that I am just doing my job and there is no changing the punishment set in our guidelines, if they feel the punishment was underserved they can make a claim on the forums or to SMT but in the moment this is how the server enforcement works.

Explain in length and detail as to why you deserve staff more than other applicants. Explain what you will bring to the staff team and your strongest assets as a person/potential staff member (250+ words):

Since joining W-G, it has become a part of my day-day life, I've met some amazing people and made life long friends. While I've only kept to a single regiment since joining, I've become friends with many people outside of it and often socialise with other regiments, the server has done alot for me in many ways and I've always wanted to give back in some way, first I tried EP but when I thought about applying my regiment lost it's commander and I knew being both knowing how demanding both jobs are I wouldn't be able to commit, and I recently applied for Jr Dev but I'm not sure I'll get it nor will I live up to the standards due to my lack of coding.

I don't know why but I'm always drawn into helping people, I'm often a compassionate person and I like being friendly towards people and I try my best to bring a positive attitude in all situations and a reliable person you can talk to. While I can be compassionate and nice I can also be strict and disciplined when the situation calls for it.

Staff was something I was really interested in when I first joined, but I didn't meet the time requirements, and then the second time I was thrown off when they were open due to how many high profiled people in the community were applying so I decided to wait. But I'm applying now as I know that it isn't just about having a reputation but the experience which I feel I can deliver and I would like to experience something I haven't been able to since I joined I like being staff and I enjoy helping people, I've always made sure to report rule infractions to staff and do whatever I can to help assist against minges and rule breakers, not to mention as part of CT I often see rule infractions and rule breakers by my enlisted and there's often only so much I can do, having a CT in staff in my own thoughts could benefit and help contain a situation if staff cannnot arrive in time.

I feel like I can bring a lot to staff and I know if I was to be accepted I would give 110% to staff and help in anyway possible to ensure other people are enjoying their time on the server while working to help improve anything I can and work on feedback given to me and the rest of staff.

Literally the Commander of the minge regiment and I've never seen him handle them by raising his voice or freaking out. He's been around a while and is a very good pick for staff.
