Quick summary about you:

I am a 17 year old from the United Arab Emirates. Specifically, the beautiful and not very historical city of Abu Dhabi (Left of Dubai). I am a Junior racing driver signed with a top motorsports talent agency in Europe, and a psych/bio major in my first year of uni. I love Star Wars, Formula One, and a lot of other things. I have never fished in my life. I like monkeys too.

Why should we pick you for Battalion:

 I honestly believe I am a good fit for Battalion because, I am extremely active and competent. I have been a high ranking member on the server for quite a while. Not to mention, I was a CT Major for about 2 months in 2017. I have also had the opportunity to learn how to truly be a commander from some of the best commanders this server has seen. For example, Hoxton, Ford, Hank, Maze, Voidy, Omega/Jacks, and Marcus. I understand the role very well and believe I could perform extremely well. Additionally, my time as the DU Commander has been met with great appreciation from the regiment. My contributions have made the lives of DU members much easier. I would also consider myself to be a fair and unbiased person. I understand how to separate the personal from the professional. 

 

I also believe activity is a big thing. I do average around 50-70 hours a week. I always meet and surpass my minimums as well. This shows my commitment and dedication to my roles. I have also been told on many occasions that no one really dislikes me. I try and make sure that everyone has a good time by helping them if they lack information in basics/mandos or, if they have an issue with another person, I try my best to get them to resolve their issues so it won’t affect anyone else’s experience. 

 

Describe the roles and responsibilities of Battalion: (100 Words - Minimum)

 

The roles and responsibilities of Battalion are as follows. On Defcon 5, they are meant to be doing trainings or simulations, granting or denying requests, and generally keeping the base and its troopers on top of their game. Essentially, they are the people who run the base. They must also act in a professional manner. When they are assigned to supervise a regiment, they must ensure that the regiment is healthy and active in trainings.  In the event of an attack on the base, they must lead the regiments and ensure victory. In the event of an attack on another base/planet, they must devise a plan that is clear and concise, to secure victory.  

 

Have you ever been demoted, banned or kicked: Unfortunately I have. About 3 to 4 years ago now, I was Comm Banned for player pulling. I was immature at the time and I have grown past that now.

 

Do you understand that Battalion is a very respectable and disciplined rank:
 

I do and I will strive to keep the image and stature as distinguished and respectable as I possibly can.

 

What do Battalion do during Combat, when they are not leading?

When a member of Battalion is not leading, they must either be Co-Leading if asked, they could also be supporting the regiment they supervised or, supporting a reg assigned by the leader. They must also be careful not to act as a personal battalion member to the reg or a member of their hierarchy. However, it is ok to inform them of what they are meant to be doing or telling them to be in a certain position. 

 

What are the 3 duties a Battalion Officer Cadet has to complete before getting promoted as part of his mentoring session?
 

Host a mandatory training which assesses the ability to perform faces, formations, and questions.

 

Conduct a debrief of the recent attack/defense. 

 

Lead the GAR in a defense or attack situation.

 

What is the job of the Co-Leader during events?
 

The Co-Leader of an event’s responsibility is to assist the leader of the event as much as possible. This can be by granting/denying requests in advert or informing them of the situation in other sectors of the map. Additionally, in the event of the leader crashing or suddenly becoming unavailable, the Co-Leader is there to take over.

DU Commander Dyno. During my time since joining the regiment (One month and three days at the time of posting) this member has shown dedication absolute to our regiment. He strives for improvement not only within himself, but to the entire regiment as a whole. From his rank as SO he supported the hierarchy greatly with trainings, sims, leading and creative input. Then when he stepped up to join the hierarchy after the whole SEER debacle his eforts to maintain our regiment and retain our former strength did not go unnoticed by myself or the other Doom's Unit members.

Many would doubt this appliction based solely on the current state of DU, as perceived from the outside. Allow me to shed some light on the situation; DU has many upcoming and existing SO's / CO's that are showing great potential. With this new wave coming through the ranks, I believe we will be capable enough to survive when (hopefully) Dyno is accepted into Battalion. 

Enough about Doom's Unit though, Dyno should 100% be accepted, he is deserving of the role, more than most.

From what I have seen in game you are definitely competent and a nice guy and would make a good batt member. However.... DUs state is shambles Hierarchy after Hierarchy are leaving at the moment. Considering you only have a Temp VC at the moment with T EXOs do you really think applying right now when DU is in the state was a great idea. 

Right now was a really bad time to apply and you should focus on your regiment for now getting them in a stable place to have a stable and ready hierarchy.

Largely same as the above. I think you'd be a super battalion and your experience and maturity would live right up to that expectation. I don't think you'd disappoint. I agree with what Pingu said, that being you're probably the best applicant right now imo.

However, you'd be a huge loss for DU right now. They've a temp and a trial. Though, once the hierarchy is more stable, you'd be solid.

You're a commander and not a bad one in the slightest. You show great care and are very good at leading but also listening which is key for battalion

My only issue is DU. You are leaving at such a important and issue filled time and I think joined battalion when DU is so volatile is a bad thing to do. It makes you like as if you dont give a shit.

Overall I wouldn't mind you in battalion but you need to think, if you leave will DU struggle because you were selfish?

Clearly the topic of the future of DU hierarchy is prevalent. I understand that me leaving will be the 4th DU commander within 4 months. However, I can safely say the regiment is in safe hands. By the end of next week we will have a Vice Commander and shortly after we will have an Executive Officer. Our current SOs are more than capable, some I'd say some are more capable than me, to take the reigns and proceed. Should this application be denied for this reason? Possibly. Will I continue to try and improve the regiment to the best of my ability? Absolutely. 

Overall, thank you for the replies & criticisms. It really does help me improve myself.

You are a good commander but as many people stated above DU needs stabilty more then anything right now. Like it is fine for you to try to apply for battalion but at this time that is kinda of a middle finger to DU as a whole since they really need stable hierarchy.

I do think you will be exceptional at it with your leadership skills but its a good app however DU is not in a good place (again), they need to reorganize their Hierarchy before they get another person leaving or there is basically No real hierarchy. I think they should do what they did with the other DU and put it on hold untill DU is sorted
