Quick summary about you: (70 Words - Minimum) A quick summary about me: My name is Joshua but people like to call me Josh (Which I prefer) and I am 18 years old. I live in a small town known as Sawley and I live in-between two major cities, Nottingham and Derby. I finished secondary school and went on to college at Nottingham, where I met loads of awesome friends (Including Pingu lol). However, due to the cost being too high for me I dropped it after 1 year. I currently work part time at a local pub and have been for almost two years now. I am looking to try and get an apprenticeship soon though as I feel like I need a change in my career.

Why should we pick you for Battalion: (200 Words - Minimum)

I feel like I would be a valuable asset to the battalion due to an array of reasons. One of those reasons being the fact I hold a position of hierarchy. This shows that I have what it takes to look over and order a regiment and help them do their very best. I know how to organise my regiment to maximise efficiency. For example, I split the regiment up depending on how many members we have online and assign them to different locations on base. Secondly, I feel like I have a very level headed view on things and this sometimes can help with decision making. I take both parties' view on any situation and decide an outcome due to what I've been told. For example, in the hierarchy we make several important decisions and changes to the regiment, I tend to be the middleman, listen to both sides and give my opinion after both parties have given their views.  Furthermore, I also have a lot of confidence. In the past I lacked confidence but over time, due to my IRL job and this server, my confidence has skyrocketed. Now I am able to talk to people I have never met and am able to lead people during events. In addition, my activity and attitude towards the server is compelling. I also have good team working skills which are crucial for the battalion, these skills have improved due to the server and yet again due to my IRL job. Additionally, I feel like I should be picked for battalion due to my passion to lead and help everyone. Battalion covers this in their day to day roles. 

 

Describe the roles and responsibilities of Battalion: (100 Words - Minimum)
As a battalion you are responsible for granting and denying any requests that appear over comms. You must also make sure that you are assigning people that are able to train cadets to go and train cadets. You are also responsible for supervising a regiment when you reach the rank of 2nd Lieutenant. As a supervisor you should be doing trainings with your assigned regiment and helping them out when they need it most. You also need to make sure that the hierarchy of that regiment are doing ok and you may be asked to help with important decisions within the regiment. 

 

Have you ever been demoted, banned or kicked: (If so, explain why)  No I have not.

 

Do you understand that Battalion is a very respectable and disciplined rank: Indeed I do.

 

What do Battalion do during Combat, when they are not leading? (IN DETAIL)
When a battalion is not leading during combat, they usually help frontlines and often give information to the battalion that is leading. They also assist with commanding the regiment they are supporting. Furthermore, if they have a regiment that they supervise, they tend to stick with them and assist them. If no-one from their supervised regiment is on they move to the frontline regardless. They must update the leading battalion with information they may not know yet regardless.

 

What are the 3 duties a Battalion Officer Cadet has to complete before getting promoted as part of his mentoring session?

Lead an event

Complete an open mandatory training

Host a debrief in-front of everyone on base.

 

What is the job of the Co-Leader during events?
A Co-leaders job during events is to assist the main leader with big decisions. Furthermore the co-leader is in-charge of granting or denying minor requests that come through comms. In addition, a co-leader must be aware of what is going on during the mission and give details to the leader so that the leader can make decisions based on the situation. If the Leader crashes or is unable to lead, the co-leader will step in and take over command.

This is untrue. DU Hierarchy is more stable right now than it has been in the past few months. If Darksider chooses to leave, the hierarchy will not become unstable, we have other people in line who are eager and ready to be members of hierarchy. 

Now, onto the actual application. 

Massive massive massive +1. I have known this guy for a while now and I can tell you with 100% certainty that he is/will be one of if not the best applicants for battalion. His leading ability is immaculate. His determination, confidence, and general personality would fit the role better than anyone else I know. Additionally, he is extremely mature and well respected. His trial week was an absolute banger of one and his time as Vice Commander has been perfect. This man has no downsides to him in the slightest. He is the perfect fit for battalion.

Well made app and you probbably would be a good battalion member, but as some people pointed out DU's hierarchy has changed alot in the past months and a little stability wouldn't hurt.

As Brandon said In dynos battalion application. DU needs a stable hierarch y, and this has been rotating for ages. You need to get DU having a stable Hierarchy and having a backup for when it's good enough to leave snd it can't be devasting for the regiment

Darksider is a great guy and very nice. DU is in an ok position right now. They have 2 more SOs thats great for hiearachy and they have no trials right now. I dont think DU would go under with darksider joining battalion. 

There is only 1 thing that kinda drags him down a bit is that he lacks experience. Normally having just above 2 weeks playtime is -1 on the apps because most people that get accepted got more experience. I will say he is very good compared to his playtime, but I personally think he needs a little more experience before joining batt.

 

Overall I am not opposed of him joining, but thinks its better that he maybe waits for the next time.

Didn't DU just finish filling up hierarchy spots?   Give it some time as DU does need some proper stability without running out of Staff Officers to fill in the EXO spot. 
"I hold a position of hierarchy" While true you have been the VC for less than two weeks, for the love of god I would recommend to stay as hierarchy until the next batt apps open. 
I know you're a pretty cool dude, and I believe you could have a good chance at battalion, but now is not the time.

Honestly you would be an amazing person to have in battalion but lets be real. DU need you, and with the hierarchy changing almost weekly, they need a stable leadership figure. I don't blame you in some ways for wanting to leave but maybe ensure DU is stable and there will be people able to take your place before leaving it. Good luck

Just because you are no longer VC doesn't mean it increases your chances to get in, if anything hinders it showing you are not willing to dedicate to helping.

It may seem like he stepped down because he doesn’t want to help, but there are genuinely more uncontrollable personal reasons to it. He stepped down so someone else could step up and do what he was doing as he couldn’t.

Darksider, you're a chill dude and seem to be a funny guy, however now isn't really the best time. 

With DU's current Hierarchy, it has been in constant rotation for a while. DU have been able to sustain a few decent members and overall the regiment is fairly active in my opinion. Even if you have people to replace you, having the Hierarchy in constant rotation isn't good for the regiment. Seeing as Dyno too applied for Battalion, you should stay in DU for a while longer.

You've achieved the rank of Vice Commander within 2 weeks of playtime. I understand you may be competent, however achieving such a high rank in little time, to then just leave doesn't benefit you showing you may not be as dedicated as you seem. However like I previously said, you could have just gotten this through activity and performance so that is fair enough. Either way, 2 weeks is not enough experience to be joining Battalion in my opinion.

I think you would be a good choice for Battalion, but you need more experience and time on the server, and DU needs a more stable Hierarchy. Either way, good luck mate.
