He's understood his mistakes, he's come back and made a full turn around.
He's setting a good example that our staff constantly improve
Seems like a good pick. Would recommend giving him a look over.

GamingGoombah got a reaction from Dodo in Deagle's Staff Application
    Big -1. Why? Well:
You haven't listed any kind of RP or Staff experience within W-G, so I must assume you're very new to the server, having only joined discord on the 20/06 and having made the staff app on the morning of 21/06
Role of staff isn't just ensuring players have fun and "Respect" the rules, they're also a line of rule enforcement
Plenty of grammatical errors throughout the application, incorrect sentence structure, shows an understanding of English, but not an understanding of English Grammar
context about the setting of C24 states about Rogue CPs, this is highly inaccurate due to the strict regulation of the CP within C24.
The administration is not "kinda more helpful and kind to the citizens" C24 cares for it's obedient workforce, and it's upper-class, most like any other City
RDM isn't a warn offense, it's a ban, you need to remember that this server is not like DarkRP, the rules are strict in comparison to DarkRP, not to mention you would only need to use the logs in most RDM cases
Scenario 5 would require a kick rather than Jailing, people who prop spam don't have viable reasons to be doing such, if they return, it's a ban, most prop-spammers aim to crash the server, so don't waste time.
Scenario 7 should also include you reminding the player that they can attempt to take the situation to the forums, you'd provide them with the link to the appropriate forums page and then return them, if they wish to take the situation further, they will do so on the forums.
In Scenario 8, you should remind the player of the Real Life structure, if the action couldn't be performed within the boundaries of the real world, it falls under FailRP
Scenario 9 would also include informing higher-ups about the loophole to fix it, and warning the player verbally
Metagame is the other way around, using OOC information for IC purposes
Starting a section titled "Explain in length and detail as to why you deserve staff" with: "I don't think I deserve more than others" really doesn't set a good tone for you as a person
"2-3" hours is fairly low-margin activity for a staff member, especially if that's your standard for a server that's yet to have a grand opening.
"I really like HL2:RP and Werwolf gaming" Yet you've not mentioned any previous playtime with us, and have only been around for a couple of days
"I try to remember all the rules, so It shouldn't be a problem remembering them (Except if there are TOO many)." comes across as counter-intuitive and is also fairly generic, all staff have an EXPECTATION to know their rules, it's a MUST not a MIGHT
"To finish, I know that I will probably be not the best candidate , as I said before, there are plenty of people better than me" Again, not the best way of trying to sound appealing to people who are deciding whether or not to include you on a staff team.

Give some context about setting of C24 within the Half Life universe (150 words+):
City 24 is A city administrated by the UU administration, it is set in Europe, in the city of Geneva, but it's different from the other ones because the propaganda isn't like all the other cities, it seems to have sign of nationalism propaganda in it. The city is generally clean, it has similiar traits of the old world, it seems to make the citizen feel comfortamble  and to increase their loyalty to the UU. The city reports show that it has common traits of the nazy germany and of north korea. Like other cities, this was build just after the 7 hours war, and it seems to be a secret rebel organization, so the city may be lockdowned often. The administration is  kinda more helpful and kind to the citizens, unlikely other cities, where the administrators couldn't care less. The reports shows that some CP went rogue too, but the situation is slowly coming back to normal.

Have you read the server rules and are you familiar with them?
Yes, I am, and i am ready to enforce them.
Have you read the punishment list and are familiar with it?:
I did, and I am ready to use the correct ones for each situation.
List of all previous server staff experience:
I've got most of my experience on RPs, but I've got some out too: Shared Gaming Breach (Moderator), GM REBORN TTT (Tmod), NebleGaming SCPRP (Admin) Alpha Gaming DARKRP (Senior Admin).
List of all previous RP experience:
I don't remember them all, but I will list the recent ones that I remember: Civil Gamers -DarkRP-, SFS Reborn -StarWarsRP-, RealityRoleplay -MilitaryRP-...

Have you added the Staff Manager on Steam? If not, add him (https://steamcommunity.com/id/UNJoe/):
    I did
Do you understand that you can be demoted at anytime with a sufficient reason by a Hierarchy member?:
I understand, and I'm ready to accept it
Explain how you would handle these scenarios as a staff member:
1 ) You are told by a player in admin chat that another player is randomly killing people:
I would tp to the reported and ask him who is rdming, then I would deal with the reporter in a sit with the reported and hear both sides of what happened. If the reported actually broke a rule I would be forced warn him.
2 ) You are asked by a player about how to join a faction:
I would first ask him what faction would he like to join, and then I would explain to him what does that faction do. I would reply that he can try to do an IC application, or maybe try an OOC one. If he has more question I would say to ask to an higher up
3 ) You catch somebody not performing RP and messing around:
I would bring him(if he's not in an RP situation) and explain that he can't mess around as this is an RP server, and if he keeps doing that I will be forced to punish him, with a warn or a kick and then a ban.
4 ) Somebody acquires a rank but is not willing to RP with it properly:
I would explain him what that rank does, then if he still won't rp properly I would tell him that if he keeps doing it he could probably get a demotion or a blacklist.
    5 ) A player is prop spamming:
I would jail him and say to stop spamming otherwise(depends on the amount of spammed props) he could get warned or even banned.
6 ) Somebody does not agree with the outcome of an RP situation therefore he decides to break RP and act OOC:
I would bring him, and check the logs and other people's point of wiew, if he didn't use any rp breaking rule(such as metagaming, power gaming etc.) I would just give him a verbal, if he did instead I would be forced to warn him.

7 ) You bring a player into a sit and punnish him however he does not agree with your decision and keeps arguing:
If I already warned him, I would explain why I warned him using all the facts that I have, trying to explain to him that it was the right choice, if he still doesn't agree and shouting or swearing I would ask him to stop it or I will be forced to mute him, and keep explaining why I did it. If, in another scenario he agrees, I would just return him.
8 ) Someone commits FailRP but claims the specific instance of FailRP you warned him for is not explained in detail within the rules:
I would explain him that not everything is written and the rules, and sometimes using common sense is the best way to respect all of them. However, if he still argues, I would tell him to ask to my superiors if he still needs clarifications.
9 ) A player evidently breaks a rule however he makes a good point in his defence by abusing loopholes within the rules:
If he broke any rule, I would warn him and say that he can't abuse of the loopholes, as it isn't allowed.
Answer the following questions in detail:
1 ) Explain the difference between Tier I rule-breaking and punishments and Tier II rule-breaking and punishments:
-Tier I : Usually done by new player in the server, they are usually breaking Fail RP o RDM (the common ones), They aren't on purpose, usually they are accidents. I honestly apply a verbal and then a written warning.
-Tier II : Usually done by normal players, they are on purpose, and a good example is MRDM, the punishments always depend on the situation.
2 ) Explain the difference between IC and OOC. Also define Meta Gaming in relation with the two:
When you are IC (in Character), you always follow your character's duties,rules... You are mostly roleplaying while you are IC, in this your ultimate goal is to develop your character internally(emotions, social state...) and externally(job,rank...). OOC(Out Of Character, doesn't affect your character at all, as the name says. It is usually used in admin sits.
Metagaming is usually used IC to gain OOC informations, like the name of someone, their job... A common example is when someone calls a guy for his name while don't even knowing it in RP, he just looked in the scoreboard of the server.
3 ) Explain the difference between Serious RP and Semi-Serious RP:
Serious RP: You have to be your charachter until the end of the RP situation, you have to fully concentrate on your character.
Semi Serious: While in an RP situation, you may talk in OOC, and maybe not fully concentrate on your character.
4 ) Explain the difference between PassiveRP and CombatRP, explain your view on their importance in our gamemode:
Passive RP: Usually a character's mind and body  development, an example is a citizen getting their ration or discussing with someone else.
Combat RP: Most frequent in HL2:RP, this only focus on the exterior of your charachter, an example is a CP beating up a citizen for jumping or running.
I think both Passive and combat RP are equally important and funny.

5 ) Define the term of Combat Baiting:
Combat baiting is usually saying something to instigate a fight, an example could be a citizen running and jumping in front of a CP.
6 ) Define Power Gaming / Power RP:
Power gaming is when you force an action with the command /me or make your self in a powerful position with RP commands, an example is: "/me steals the baton of the CP and beat him up"
7 ) Define the term FailRP:
FailRP is when the player fails to role play, and in real life you would never do that thing, an example is a non-rogue CP that gives weapons to the citizens.
8 ) Define the term FearRP:
FearRP is when someone is afraid to die, so like if a cp points a gun at you and say to follow him, you can't just run away as it would break Fear RP.
Explain in length and detail as to why you deserve staff more than other applicants. Explain what you will bring to the staff team and your strongest assets as a person/potential staff member (250+ words):
I don't think I deserve more than others, cause there always will be someoneone better than me, but I can say that I got a lot of experience in this game, I've played gmod for almost 3 years and I've played a lot of RP and non-RP servers. I learn always from my errors, and I always accept suggestions, I am respectful, I always respect my higher ups and  the players, because  I believe that all players should be respected, not just the staff members, as we are a community. I am active too, I can be active on a daily base with 2-3 hours per day, except for some days. Another reason is that I am really determinated to join this server and be helpful for it, I really like HL2:RP and Werwolf gaming, so why not help by doing what I most like, helping people; infact, I applied for staff because I really like helping people. Another great thing about me is that I try to remember all the rules, so It shouln't be a problem remembering them (Except if there are TOO many). To finish, I know that I will probably be not the best candidate , as I said before, there are plenty of people better than me, with maybe more experience, game knowledge, more time, but I still could be a really fine addiction to the staff team of this amazing community, with the reasons that I explained before. If I will get the chanche to join the staff team, I will try my best to help the server!

I've seen you around a fair bit in DU, you can listen, learn, and respond well
You've motivated those around you, it's a good quality.
You've got a willingness to learn, albeit teaching you on an environment such as this would be peculiar, yet the skills would be applicable elsewhere.

Give some context about setting of C24 within the Half Life universe (150 words+):
City 24 (C24) is a combine-controlled city located in Geneva, Switzerland. The city is built on the ruins of a time before the Combine and has many large structures for residential use and military garrisons. The city also has a train station that connects it back to C17 in Riga, Latvia.
The city itself is decorated heavily in union barriers that create a sense of union under the banner of the ancient Geneva eagle crest. C24 has a theatre that the populace can use as well a large sewer system that is often used by non-loyalists and ne’er-do-wells. There are two tiers for the large residential areas, the locations near the Nexus are for loyalists and therefore are much more expensive and well catered for. On the other end of the city is the slums, a dark and dingy area with smaller apartments in the ruins of the old city, you can find many poorer citizens and non-loyalist types in this area of the city. The disparity of the housing situation acts as an incentive for the citizens to be loyal to the cause and lead a much better quality of life.

Do you understand that you can be demoted at anytime with a sufficient reason by a Hierarchy member?:
     Yes, I understand that completely.

Explain how you would handle these scenarios as a staff member:

1 ) You are told by a player in admin chat that another player is randomly killing people:
I would check the logs to see if this player had been killing people and then proceed with applicable punishment for mass RDM (Probably a 2 day ban if my knowledge from SWRP serves me)

2 ) You are asked by a player about how to join a faction:
Currently, I'm not sure on the process yet, at the moment I would say to put an application in on the discord server and be interviewed like I did for CP

3 ) You catch somebody not performing RP and messing around:
Depending on the role they are playing I would act accordingly, as Winter said in the training yesterday if the player was in a CP or OTA role they are supposed to be in character 100% of the time so I would warn them for failRP. The question is highly dependant on what is meant by "messing around".

4 ) Somebody acquires a rank but is not willing to RP with it properly:
I'm unsure of the ability of staff at the moment so I would report it their commander and let them deal with the situation unless I'm told otherwise in staff training.

    5 ) A player is prop spamming:
I would warn them initially and explain that they aren't supposed to do that, if they then carried on I would kick them for prop spamming and give them a second warning.

6 ) Somebody does not agree with the outcome of an RP situation therefore he decides to break RP and act OOC:
I would explain to the person that sometimes things don't go as planned in RP and the best thing they can do is just to calm down and then offer a staff sit with both parties to attempt to resolve the situation away from game.

7 ) You bring a player into a sit and punish him however he does not agree with your decision and keeps arguing:
I warn them for continuing the matter after a resolution has been made and that if he wants to dispute my decision then he should go to the forums and make a claim there where it can be dealt with.

8 ) Someone commits FailRP but claims the specific instance of FailRP you warned him for is not explained in detail within the rules:
I would tell them that it's clear that they are trying to find loopholes in the rules and therefore I would warn them accordingly.

9 ) A player evidently breaks a rule however he makes a good point in his defence by abusing loopholes within the rules:
I would warn them for abusing loopholes and would bring these up at the next staff meeting so we can prevent a similar situation arising in the future.

Answer the following questions in detail:

1 ) Explain the difference between Tier I rule-breaking and punishments and Tier II rule-breaking and punishments:
I can't due to the punishments and server rules not being released yet.
My guess would be that a tier 1 rule break would be something like prop spamming or a mild failRP and a punishment would be a warning. As for tier 2 I would expect that to be a situation like mass RDM and it would be an instant ban or kick.

2 ) Explain the difference between IC and OOC. Also define Meta Gaming in relation with the two:
IC: In character would be all actions and decisions that the player's game character would make based on their in-game knowledge, this would be down to the conversations a player has with another player, IC they would not use outside references or game information that their characters wouldn't know. This also
    OOC:
Meta-Gaming: The use of OOC knowledge to influence an IC decision, such as a rebel wearing a Combine disguise, a Combine faction character would be classed as metagaming if they didn't find out that the other player was wearing a disguise through IC actions, such as something being off about their actions or behaviour causing a rise in suspicion leading to interrogation that would discover the truth.

3 ) Explain the difference between Serious RP and Semi-Serious RP:
Serious RP would be like CP where people are required to stay IC at all times to create an atmosphere and build the in-game would to feel more immersive.
Semi-Serious RP is more relaxed on the level of strictness than Serious RP and focuses more on the freedom aspect of RP whereas Serious RP focuses much more on being lore friendly and creating an immersive atmosphere for the players.

4 ) Define PassiveRP and explain its role and importance in a serious RP gamemode, also explain your view on the two within our gamemode:
Passive RP is also seen as a world-building tool and is hugely important in game modes that are largely life based situations such as DarkRP or the civilian side of Nazi RP, there are no formations or drills that players will regularly run but instead they are Job Bloggs who only buys his newspaper on rainy days and eats fish and chips on the pier or something along those lines, it's simple and plausible and that helps create the immersive world role-players want to be a part of.
PassiveRP is also where you will see commands like /me for players that want to perform an action and will describe what they are doing more than with what their physical avatar can actually show.

5 ) Define the term of Combat Baiting:
Combat baiting is when a player will provoke somebody in order to get a reaction that would be classed as combat RP. This could be from plain fighting to an arrest.

6 ) Define Power Gaming / Power RP:
Powergaming is when a player makes an action against another player and presumes that their action is successful in the interaction without giving the other player a chance to respond or fight back against the first player. An example of this would be in a situation where rolling would be used to determine a winner, powergaming is when the first player will skip over this without checking to make sure that all parties involved agree to skipping it in order for the first player to win that encounter.

7 ) Define the term FailRP:
FailRP is where a player makes an action or says something that is not explicitly stated as OOC and that action is not lore-friendly for the character they are role-playing as. For example if a player equipped something that is not likely to appear in their inventory would be FailRP such as a pacifist character like a Doctor equipping or using a gun.

8 ) Define the term FearRP:
Fear RP is when your character is being threatened by someone else, forcing your character to do something that would otherwise be FailRP if they weren't being threatened.

Explain in length and detail as to why you deserve staff more than other applicants. Explain what you will bring to the staff team and your strongest assets as a person/potential staff member (250+ words):
I should be chosen as a member of the staff team because I have a great love for helping others and I enjoy teaching people things that I have come to learn in my time on RP servers, for example I would often train cadets on SWRP despite being a relatively high rank and it wasn’t as expected for me to do so, I would also help people learn how to use the building tools in both trainings and 1 on 1’s within my time in game.
I’m a confident and social person and I’m very approachable both in game and out, I like to think that I’m generally a very easy person to become friends with as I don’t like to press my opinion on something.
I’m a very mature person for my age which I think is reflected in my professional career becoming management at the age of 21 which has also allowed me to learn to be level-headed when dealing with serious topics such as dismissals and disciplinary processes. My career also means that I maintain high standards in everything I do as in my line of work if a mistake is made someone will most likely lose their life.
Being an adult I don’t have any ties that may prevent me from coming online such as school work or university exams, this would allow me to minimise my time off for LOA/ROA’s. The current crisis of COVID-19 also means that I’m working from home and therefore time won’t be taken up by my commute to and from work, I can also come online when I have a gap in meetings or decide to finish early for the day.
Whilst I don’t have any experience in staffing a Garry’s Mod server I am a fast learner and I’m also prepared to learn a lot very quickly. I have some knowledge of basic tools like whitelisting due to time as a Trial EXO in SWRP which would allow me to use some of the simpler commands without much training if any.

State the role of staff on the server: The role of staff is simple: They are to monitor players, making sure they are not breaking any forms of rules, they are to act as the representatives of the server and act like such to provide a positive impact on the players. They act as administration, giving out punishment where needed, when needed, and in a professional and timely manner. They act as guides, teaching and telling people what to do and how to do it, whether simple or complex. They are people to console in, when issues arise, staff are there to listen, and provide what aid they can to players as they need it or request it. No task should ever be overlooked or not considered worth staff time

Give some context about setting of C24 within the Half Life universe (150 words+): Set in Europe, at the heart of Geneva, the city itself is vastly different from the rest of the Universal Union administrated cities (such as C17, C8, etc) via an almost fanatical route of propaganda manipulation upon it's citizens, workforce and police. Its plentiful red banners in places through the city, creating a sense of strong-held nationalism, whereupon the old eagle of Geneva’s crest is prevalent. Up-front the city resembles whispers of the old world via its fake posture of prestige and comfort, where class-systems are really just an illusion. Its roads, paths and street buildings remain well kept and relatively clean. It could be argued that City 24 has as much in common with North Korea or Nazi Germany as with most other cities within the now Union-Occupied world. It is a pivotal seat of power in the Universal Union's stranglehold of the world. City 24 is harshly run by a small select circle, rather than one, or a board of administrators.

Have you read the server rules and are you familiar with them? N/a As they have not been posted yet, however, I believe they will be very a-kin to other servers run by W-G so until I see them, I'll say maybe.

Have you added the Staff Manager on Steam? If not, add him: Yes

Do you understand that you can be demoted at anytime with a sufficient reason by a Hierarchy member?: Yes I understand Completely

Explain how you would handle these scenarios as a staff member:

1 ) You are told by a player in admin chat that another player is randomly killing people: Check Blogs: If true, bring offender, question, ban/warn accordingly to severity, if false, verbally warn reporter for leaving a false report

2 ) You are asked by a player about how to join a faction: Provide them with information, reminding them that anything that needs to be done ICly, must be done like that, such as a citizen gaining knowledge of rebel locations and recruitment centers, or directing them to the discord or the forums, potentially even reading areas from the forums to them as a guide

3 ) You catch somebody not performing RP and messing around: Remind them that this is a heavily RP-focused server, unless they are in an area specified for unserious acts. Otherwise (and this is the important bit): As long as they are not affecting or harming other people's RP or experiences on the server, then they should be left alone, if CP engage them due to their uncharacteristically acts and they don't see the RP through, then they are to be reminded and warned for their transgressions

4 ) Somebody acquires a rank but is not willing to RP with it properly: Remind them that they are meant to be acting in the role of the rank they have acquired, if they refuse to comply: warn them that they may lose that rank and it's according privileges. Repeated transgressions will result in removal from that role

5 ) A player is prop spamming: Freeze them, remind them that that is against the rules and proceed with a warning after removing their props, or getting them to do it. Further transgressions may result in kicks or bans.

6 ) Somebody does not agree with the outcome of an RP situation therefore he decides to break RP and act OOC: Judge according to the situation at hand, if there is no room for the RP situation to have occurred (E.G: the other party had broken a rule) then nullify the RP situation and deal from there. If there is valid reason behind the RP situation, then remind the player that this is just how the server is sometimes, if it had resulted in a PK (player-character kill) then tell them to appeal it on the forums, otherwise just make a new character

7 ) You bring a player into a sit and punish him however he does not agree with your decision and keeps arguing: Remind him that the staff on the server have the final say in terms of situations and that if the punished disagrees, they can gladly take it to the forums under a staff-abuse thread, supply them with the forum link to the staff-abuse thread page and return them, if they continue this behavior, proceed with mutes/gags and ask them to calm down and take it to the forums. Repeated offenses of this after lifting the mute/gag will result in punishment, so would ways of circumventing the mute or gag

8 ) Someone commits FailRP but claims the specific instance of FailRP you warned him for is not explained in detail within the rules: This depends on severity and common sense. First apply the FailRP situation to the rules, then to real-life, explain that the specific actions of the accused wouldn't be applicable in a sense of the character, the rules, or if you theoretically applied the situation to Real-Life. Otherwise get them to elaborate and debate it there. If the accused is not accepting, ask them to submit an appeal for their warn before resuming staff duty

9 ) A player evidently breaks a rule however he makes a good point in his defense by abusing loopholes within the rules: Advise him to not look for loopholes in rules, verbally warn him for using the loophole, and depending on the severity of the rule broken, give the normal punishment, whilst they have still broken a rule, they have provided you with information on a loophole that can then be given attention to to amend in the rules.

Answer the following questions in detail:

1 ) Explain the difference between Tier I rule-breaking and punishments and Tier II rule-breaking and punishments: As far as I have been aware: Tier I is Low-level rule breaks and mostly accidental stuff, such as AccidentalRDM, Acciental spam, etc. Tier II rule-breaking however is a person being in full-understanding of the rules and still breaking them, along with moderate infractions such as VRDM, RDM, Etc.

2 ) Explain the difference between IC and OOC. Also define Meta Gaming in relation with the two: IC means information, actions, reactions, smells, sights, etc, that your character would be affected by, but not you, stuff spoken to you by other characters would be IC information, such as an NPC giving your character a quest, that's IC. OOC means everything that wouldn't affect your character, such as stuff said by staff in staff sits, Discord chats, Teamspeak, OOC chat in game, etc. This is information that you as a real-world person would see, but not your character. MetaGaming is where you take information from an OOC form, such as In-game OOC chat, and use that information in-game, an example would be if you were a fresh character, and managed to read the CP radio guide, and somehow knew what all their radio chatter and code-phrases meant.

3 ) Explain the difference between Serious RP and Semi-Serious RP: Serious RP focuses on roleplay aspects such as actions, what you say, and what decision you make to have an impact on RP, rule-breaking is taken very seriously, however most times by an in-character job, making sure there is limited staff interaction unless explicitly needed, this isn't to say that staff aren't needed, it's just that most roleplay is self-contained. Semi-Serious is where roleplay is less "restricted" and time-based and more on the more "video-gamey" aspects of Roleplaying. Staff interaction is more commonplace and some rules aren't necessary due to their environment being more prevalent in SeriousRP

4 ) Define PassiveRP and explain its role and importance in a serious RP gamemode, also explain your view on the two within our gamemode: PassiveRP is defined mostly as something that takes place outside of main-line roleplay, like menial tasks in a way, stuff like general conversation, getting healed, eating and drinking is mostly considered PassiveRP, it is something that will come and go, like an inspection on a Military base, it's more a regular thing. It can also be something that does not involve an entire server, such as running a small market stall. It is important as it allows a much more natural feeling and progression, further building a world around the server and it's story. My view on PassiveRP in a seriousRP gamemode is incredibly positive as not only does it help stop the server from feeling bland, but just the tiniest pushes from what occurs in PassiveRP can have a major impact on what happens in the game itself. SeriousRP on the other hand is a core component of what the server and it's gamemode are at it's core, without serious RP, the game would not function.

5 ) Define the term of Combat Baiting: Combat baiting is fairly self explanatory, it is where a player, performs certain actions in hopes to trigger CombatRP, such as purposefully engaging violently against CP, or acting in an uncharacteristic manner to result in a fight, sometimes this can be done in an attempt to get the baited in trouble for breaking another rule, or going against something mentioned IC. Combat Baiting is considered a punishable offense by most standards, and can also lead into other rule breaks

6 ) Define Power Gaming / Power RP: Powergaming or PowerRP is defined as the act of doing stuff that you physically or mentally shouldn't be able to do, such as having a weapon when you don't, being overly athletic, or performing more actions within an appropriate time-frame, essentially acting in a way that shows more power than the common person and/or what your job should be able of doing: E.G OTA would have some leniency with Powergame as they are literally augmented.

7 ) Define the term FailRP: FailRP is defined as failing to roleplay in the appropriate/according/acceptable manner, doing something that is not what your character would be allowed or able to do when under restrictions, Powergaming is similar to this, but Powergame mostly focuses on the aspect of impossibility, where as FailRP focuses on the aspect of Improbability and situational actions, such as you wouldn't be able to use a door's touchpad if you were in cuffs, or you wouldn't be able to open a door that works on a keycard with a lockpick

8 ) Define the term FearRP: FearRP is defined as taking actions whilst under the influence of fear that you wouldn't be able to do. The most common example of FearRP is being at gunpoint, regardless of your character's backstory, you would still be fearing for your life if placed at gunpoint, you wouldn't retaliate, you wouldn't pull out a weapon, and you wouldn't do something that would result in you risking your life.

Explain in length and detail as to why you deserve staff more than other applicants. Explain what you will bring to the staff team and your strongest assets as a person/potential staff member (250+ words):

There are several reasons why I believe I am a good pick for staff within HLRP, the following is an assortment of Online and RL examples which I can apply to a staff role:
I am a well-spoken, hardworking and responsible individual, I can complete a task when given instructions and I have vast experience when communicating with the public, I can prioritize workloads and will willingly put myself forward for when work needs to be done.

I like to learn about and partake in different activities that allow me to broaden my skill set and learn new things. I am a quick learner and will be able to pick things up easily if things change, I am able to adapt well to tasks or issues and address them as they arise

During years 10 through 11, I partook in the school’s peer mentor scheme. Through my actions during this time I was awarded with a Princess Diana award and a Golden Lion’s Certificate. I believe that this shows that I am willing to help others and have developed my communication skills when talking to my peers and my mentors.

Since 2017 I have been a Voluntary Police Cadet working alongside Humberside police. I have been involved in numerous police engagements with the public and local schools showing my ability to communicate well with people of all backgrounds and ages. I have been presented with the honour of being nominated as cadet of the year in Humberside and I’ve been given the honour of meeting two High Sheriffs as a representative of the Police Cadets. This shows my reliability as a representative for a group as well as dedication.

I have volunteered my time at my school’s sports day event, helping organise sporting events for the other year groups. This shows my use of organisation skills and communication skills with my peers.

I have participated as a member of the 2018 NCS scheme and during phase 3 have helped raise over £250.00, through a sponsored walk and car-boot sale, for a charity called ‘The Hinge’. Due to completing the scheme, I have received a certificate signed by Teresa May congratulating my success. This shows my skills with money handling, organisation, teamwork and communication skills as well as timekeeping and reliability.

I have experience running multiple Trainings within RRP and SWRP and have also built and run D&D campaigns of my own creation, showing a sum of skills applicable to that of the Event-staff roles, as that is where I have previously expressed my interests in. I also have the necessary understanding of ULX commands, gameplay, and roleplay to be able to run these events
I have continuously given my time as staff to Werwolf Gaming, having been staff twice on DarkRP, once on Rust and SCPRP and have also involved myself in the early stages of development, organising and assisting in the creation of spreadsheets, word documents, handbooks, radio guides and also general lore, I had even volunteered to assist Worm in the coding and development and have even helped in testing the server, finding issues.

I have, throughout the development stages of HLRP, shown myself to be trustworthy in words and action as I have only discussed development in-depth with other members of the Development team for HLRP.

With that, I thank the hierarchy for taking their time to read through my application for staff, and in my closing words hope to show my further expression for the vacant Event Manager position, in hopes of getting accepted, either working up to that spot, or being selected to fill it at the discretion of the server Hierarchy.

    Many thanks
    Sincerely
    GamingGoombah/Tony Bamboni/Dirty

Given the listed experience and also stuff mentioned within the "why would you be picked for staff" section about Mediating, it'd be a no-brainer not to give Hein a shot, I know where he's coming from and given his length period of time being in positions like this, he'd make brilliant staff

I don't know you too well Tony, but from the application I can relate to you a little bit.
The Application itself has been done extremely well and is detailed. It feels like it took quite some time to write it (Not Rushed) and it is easy to read. Very well worded , I feel like you are professional and you would make a very good addition to the Staff Team. Good Luck !

The staff application is well written and all questions are answered correctly, but some are a bit thin and in relation to question 5 with the prop spammer you said you would warn him, but the server is strictly serious RP and a prop- Spammers will most likely get a permanent ban instead of just a warning for the first time

I'm gonna lock this so it doesn't get too out of hand- which is exactly where it seems to be heading. Server Management will respond with a final decision, until then I would advise keeping on your best behavior around the rest of the forum.

State the role of staff on the server:
The role of the staff on the server is to maintain order within the playerbase by punishing and correcting any rule breakers, be it intentional or accidental rule breaking. Their role is  to teach new players how to RolePlay and enjoy themselves on a HL2RP server and help them with server rules and any questions they might have. Without staff the server would not be able to maintain seriousness and would be considered an Anarchy or DarkRP server.
Give some context about setting of C24 within the Half Life universe (150 words+):
City 24 is one of the many Combine controlled cities, this one being located in Geneva, Switzerland. The City is sometimes referred to as "The Royal City" as it has many Loyalists who serve the Combine and are allowed privileges no human has, tall skyscraper like structures that are half the size of the Citadel in City 17, they are used for apartments and military garrisons used by the Combine patrols. The old buildings on the outskirts are in ruins and are being used by the Resistance. After the Seven Hour War in which the Combine Empire swiftly defeated the United Nations and Human armies, the Combine Forces annex the Earth and appoint Wallace Breen as the Interim Administrator of Earth. The Combine then set up strictly controlled human Cities around the Earth for easier control of the Population and for better labor and workforce control and overwatch. City 24 has multiple large buildings for the Civil Protection, Overwatch Transhuman Arm, and the Civil Workers Union, including a basement-like structure underground for jails, production of weaponry, resting quarters.
Have you read the server rules and are you familiar with them?
The server rules are currently not displayed on the forums for the playerbase to read, but I will read and memorize them as soon as they are posted.

Former Staff Questions (Remove these if you have not been staff on our server before):

1 ) For how long were you a staff member on HL-RP:

2 ) What rank did you reach before leaving the staff team:

3 ) Were you demoted or did you resign? Why:

4 ) In hindsight, what would you have done differently as a staff member:

5 ) How have you improved since you left the staff team:

Explain how you would handle these scenarios as a staff member:

1 ) You are told by a player in admin chat that another player is randomly killing people:
-First I would claim the sit and teleport the player who reported the RDM to a nearby  inaccessible rooftop, or a place where our sit cannot impact the ongoing Role Play on the server, as this is a Serious RP server it is very important that the RP is not interrupted. I would ask the player (Victim) to tell me his side of the story and to give me the name of the person who reportedly committed RDM. I would then teleport the player in question to my location to listen to his side of the story and hear why he broke the rule. I would check the logs for the damage or kill that happened without a RP reason.
-If the logs show that the player in question did commit RDM and I would ask him if he knew that Random Deathmatch is not allowed on this server, depending on his answer I would give the appropriate punishment (warn and if necessary, a ban) for either a Tier I or Tier II RDM (ARDM if it was just damage without a kill).
-If the player is no longer on the server (Left before the sit or During the sit) and I have evidence in the form of logs, footage or screenshot, I would give him a warn for Tier II RDM and Tier II LTAP (Leaving to Avoid Punishment) and would give him the appropriate ban from the Punishments list.
2 ) You are asked by a player about how to join a faction:
-This question really depends on how the recruitment system will work on the server when it comes out. I would first explain to the player that there are several different factions on the server:
-The CP (Civil Protection), I would explain that the Civil Protection are like a Human Police Force working for the Combine in order to maintain control over the remaining Human Population, they do that by patrolling the streets, overwatching the civilians, conducting raids on apartments when ordered to by the OTA, giving out punishments to the law breakers and such. The Civil Protection also has elevated privileges over the Civilian Population so the reward for serving the Combine is high. I would then explain to the new player how to join the CP, usually by having a short interview/training at the specified building in City 24. (If the recruitment is done like on the other HL2RP servers, on the forums, I would hand him the link to the template and show him briefly how to create an application)
-The OTA (Overwatch Transhuman Arm), I would explain that the Overwatch Transhuman Arm are an elite military-like force stationed in each city to prevent any kind of uprising and/or law breaking on a larger scale, they usually do most of the higher Administrative work. The OTA is (if the recruitment will be the same as currently described in the Discord) hand picked out of the best men in the CP, so I would encourage the player to join the CP if he is interested in the OTA.
-The CWU (Civil Workers Union), I would explain to the player that the Civil Workers Union is a group of Humans who are put in such a position of power where they can boost the economy and production power of the Combine by working in one of the fields they offer (Business, Industrial, Medical...). The recruitment process in the CWU is to either apply on the forums, so I will give him the link and explain how to apply, or in a specific building in the City, so I will guide him to the place and explain what to do further.
-The Resistance (Lambda) or Vortigaunts, Zombies, Head Crabs (Xen Creatures), For the resistance I would tell him that they are an organized group of Humans who constantly oppose the Combine rule by disrupting their supply lines, economy, weaponry and sometimes even conducting larger operations. The way to join the Lambda is either with an application on the forums (I will give him the link and explain the application procedure), Or in the outskirts of the City where the Lambda are based by talking to the recruiters of the movement (and I would point him to the outskirts and explain the process of joining). The Xen Species are a VIP/PlatVIP job so I would point him to the store on the website where he can buy the package he needs.
3 ) You catch somebody not performing RP and messing around:
I would Physics gun the player to a rooftop which is far away from any RP, so that he cannot ruin the RP experience for players anymore and then freeze him so he cannot run away. Then I would explain to him that this is a SeriousRP server and that he needs to stay in character constantly and I would release him only if he understood his mistake and promised not to continue breaking RP and minging. I would then proceed to watch over him if I am free from any sits. If I see him repeat his rule breaking or get a report about him I would freeze teleport him away from RP once again and warn him for NITRP and FailRP Tier II, then I would ban him according to the Punishments list and link him the Server Rules forum page on ban.
4 ) Somebody acquires a rank but is not willing to RP with it properly:
If I would get a report of somebody abusing a power that his rank does not have and/or not roleplaying with the rank accordingly I would pull the player away from RP, if I didn't see him do it I would ask for evidence from the person who reported him, but if I did see him do it then I would ask him why he was not roleplaying properly. Depending on his answer I would either give him a warning for FailRP Tier I for not knowing he was abusing his rank, or a Tier II FailRP warning for abusing his power while knowing he was not allowed to do so. I would then ask the Leader of his faction what he would like to do with his rank after I explain him the situation. If he needs to be demoted I would do so and remove his Whitelist and then ban the player for FailRP Tier II, If not I would just ban the player for the FailRP Tier II that he committed and link him the Server Rules on ban.
    5 ) A player is prop spamming:
With Sufficient evidence of the Prop Spam, I would permanently ban the player for Prop Spamming, or if I cannot, I would ban him for the maximum amount of time I can, with a warning for Prop Spamming and add a comment to the ban saying (Extend to Permanent please), then I would contact SMT for the extension of the Ban. Prop Spamming is unacceptable in our community as it causes frequent lag on the server, ruining the experience for everybody involved.
6 ) Somebody does not agree with the outcome of an RP situation therefore he decides to break RP and act OOC:
I would teleport the accuser and the accused to a nearby inaccessible rooftop and with sufficient evidence give the accused a warning for FailRP with a Tier according to his actions. Then I would proceed to give the player a link to the Server Rules forum page and ban him if the punishments list requires to.
7 ) You bring a player into a sit and punish him however he does not agree with your decision and keeps arguing:
I would tell the player who does not agree with me that he is free to report my actions on the forums in the Staff Abuse section and I would proceed to give him the link, If he does not stop arguing, I would give him a warning for Arguing with Staff and Wasting Staff time and ban him according to the Punishments List.
8 ) Someone commits FailRP but claims the specific instance of FailRP you warned him for is not explained in detail within the rules:
FailRP is a very wide range of actions which break logic and Real life actions, basically breaking RP with an action that would not be possible in real life. I would explain that to him and if he still claims that the action he committed is not FailRP then I would contact a member of the SMT for a consultation for both the players and my sake.
9 ) A player evidently breaks a rule however he makes a good point in his defence by abusing loopholes within the rules:
If it is apparent that the player is abusing loopholes and that he did indeed break a rule I would need guidance and an opinion of an SMT member, so I would contact one and proceed accordingly.

Answer the following questions in detail:

1 ) Explain the difference between Tier I rule-breaking and punishments and Tier II rule-breaking and punishments:
Tier I rule breaking is when a player breaks a rule without knowing the rule itself, meaning Tier I is either an accident or a misunderstanding.
Tier II rule breaking, however is an intentional breaking of a rule and is generally met with a worse punishment than a Tier I infraction.
2 ) Explain the difference between IC and OOC. Also define Meta Gaming in relation with the two:
IC (In Character) is the action of sticking to role playing and doing the actions of the character you created in a certain universe.
OOC (Out of Character) is the action of using methods of communication or action that do not interfere with role play or progression of the situation in a certain universe, and not affecting anything in a role playing situation.
Meta Gaming is the act of knowing information that was said Out of Chartacter , In Character and thus using that information to your advantage.
3 ) Explain the difference between Serious RP and Semi-Serious RP:
Serious RP is the act of Role Playing as a character you made and never breaking role play, constantly progressing your character using actions that only your character would use in a certain situation.
Semi-Serious RP is the act of Role Playing not specifically as a Character, but as a job, so when the player switches jobs he also switches Characters, losing the information he had and changing his act accordingly.
4 ) Define PassiveRP and explain its role and importance in a serious RP gamemode, also explain your view on the two within our gamemode:
PassiveRP is the act of furthering and building richer RP using small details in certain situations. Some examples are fixing engines like you would in real life, doing surgeries, waking up, brushing your teeth... PassiveRP is done by using /me commands within the server and it is very important in a Serious RP gamemode, without PassiveRP some actions could not be able to be done properly and would be dull, without much detail. I personally love PassiveRP and use it with every opportunity I get.
5 ) Define the term of Combat Baiting:
Combat Baiting is the act of constantly provoking combat in a non-combat situation/forcing combat upon players. Examples could be flashing a weapon at a police officer and running away.
6 ) Define Power Gaming / Power RP:
Power Gaming is the act of forcing RP onto players, usually without giving them a chance to respond properly to your action. An example could be : "/me Comes up to you, takes your arm and breaks it, takes out a knife and stabs you in the neck."
7 ) Define the term FailRP:
FailRP is the action of breaking roleplay with unrealistic actions that are not appropriate for the situation/time period. These actions also usually are not logical and could not be done in real life.
8 ) Define the term FearRP:
FearRP is the act of making a player feel threatened in a way that would progress your character/Role Play situation. Breaking FearRP is considered a punishable offence and one example could be running away from a player while he has a rifle pointed at your head.

Explain in length and detail as to why you deserve staff more than other applicants. Explain what you will bring to the staff team and your strongest assets as a person/potential staff member (250+ words):
I am a very friendly and caring person, I love to help whenever and wherever necessary. I love doing administrative work and doing paperwork as it is quite amusing and fun to me. When I start a project or start any kind of work I always finish it and I always give it everything I have, 150% of my dedication. I am a very good listener and I find myself to be very tidy, always remembering details and writing down the same in a situation where it is called for. I love punishing rule breakers and helping new players on servers, which I usually do even without being staff on a server in the spawn area. I used to be a Mediator for 5 years in Middle School, helping break up fights, listening to people's problems and helping them, doing small paperwork and I continue doing that same stuff even today in High School. I am calm and collected in stressful and unsettling situations and never break my composure and professionalism in dire situations. I have the ability to calm people down when they feel aggravated, and I can also make people tell me things I need to know about a situation without being aggressive or too pressing. I also have experience on leading a team and fixing problem in game, CO experience from NRP. I am also very dedicated to this community and want to see it thrive with this new server, and I want to help clean it up of people who want to disturb the community and server once it comes out. I am a long time member of the community, dating back to June of 2018. I can bring my complete loyalty, dedication, work ethic and all of my assets and most of my free time to the Staff Team and I hope we can get along well.
