  1. My situation (being unwillingly clueless to the laws) can be handled by making the in-game laws easily accessible.
  2. I want to have agency over what i want to be in-game, I should be able to pick and choose within reason to what my character knows. It wouldn't make any sense for a law abiding citizen, to have no clue to what laws they should adhere. Getting caught cause the rules are inaccessible is childish and a waste of time, where as the opposite is justice. That's why we must save peoples time and make all these rules easily accessible, right below the basic RP rules. So that the time spent on this post and on the undesirable RP situations can be prevented.
  3. Below is the link that the server sends you to with the !rule command: I want to have agency over what i want to be in-game, I should be able to pick and choose within reason to what my character knows. It wouldn't make any sense for a law abiding citizen, to have no clue to what laws they should adhere. Getting caught cause the rules are inaccessible is childish and a waste of time, where as the opposite is justice. That's why we must save peoples time and make all these rules easily accessible. So that the time spent on this post and on the undesirable RP situations can be prevented. Note on previously closed poll: This is a game, the laws are rules that are set to be so. Usually with GMod servers these are listed together, giving players easy access to the entire "rule-book" so to speak. Leading up to and having now joined the Clone Guards, I've found that there are many different iterations of the law, frankly it's a bit of a mess. I suppose the laws haven't been added to the list of rules so no effort has to be put into keeping !rules up-to-date. !rules currently doesn't refer to the laws, laws are accessible in the CG roster section of the player roster. This is not obvious and requires some skulduggery. The old poll was to see whether or not others also noticed that the !rules was lacking in mentioning laws. I didn't see a distinction between rules and laws in regards to what ought to be mentioned in a GMod rule lists. That is why the results are so one sided. I request that !rules will refer to where the laws can be found.
  4. Opened the poll again. Still feel at least a re-skin for the CT reg is a worth while effort. DC-15 variant beats TL-50 any time. Rant, my hope to improve gunplay and gunplay that satisfies. From my personal experience Gmod has never out shined CS:Source gun-play, a game that uses the same engine. Closest I've got to good gun-play was while playing some vanilla TTT. Seeing how that works rather well as an FPS I wonder, why not implement it's gun-play more? I realize this too much to ask, large Gmod servers are latency cesspits damaging any good gun-play. Large health pools don't cover up that fact. Gun-play changes require further in-game changes as well, such as map design. Heroes & Generals has better gun-play currently and that game is awful.
  5. CWRP platinum VIP rank please. Ingame name is RDog.
  6. Read the suggestion newly added bit. Also, CT enlisted are being given orders, they shouldn't pass basic training without knowing what a NCO ranks is. Nor that it's needed if they follow their orders and fellow CT's. New players aren't left to fend for their own, NCO's will call out to CT's . I'm stating that good NCO's don't waste their time, repeatedly going after (harassing) guys doing their own thing. This isn't kindergarten. ___________________ It isn't even only new players doing that "running away" behavior, people not interested in being in the regiment will do their own thing. I recall seeing platinum VIP four numbers just doing their own thing. I won't get in the way of their fun, whilst getting a sore throat for it. ____________________ As for the picture, this is the real backbone of the regiment, people who are invested. Would be cool and aesthetically pleasing to look like the real deal where there's a lot of grunts doing the work. I.E. the afore shown GIF.
  7. I doubt these guys need to know their ranks. As for the new guys: The leaders are distinguished with their stripes. So visually it would be easy, as the CT regiment is the only regiment utilizing non-marked armor and thus the ones in charge will stick out more. In any case those worth while, that follow orders, will stick together with their fellow troopers. The CT regiment does not care for stragglers below the rank of LCPL If the regulars don't fall in line they are not worth the time. A good NCO won't call out more than twice for a "noob" to follow. Statistically it is a waste of time.
  8. Actually the whole prequel saga ruins my immersion and we should just stick to the original three.
  9. What your suggestion is: Replace the TL-50 with a beefed up DC-15a, AKA the DC-15LE (removed scope)Scriptfodder/workshop link: N/AAny additional information: I'm pretty sure the TL-50 was not in use by the grand army of the republic. Checked wookieepedia article on this which states its from the galactic empire era. https://starwars.fandom.com/wiki/TL-50_Heavy_Repeater Replacing it with a beefed up DC-15a would suit well anyways. Giving more uniformity. ____________________________________________________ I specifically want the TL-50 to be replaced for the CT regiment. "Pretty much a TL-50 RE-SKIN." To have the enticement and interest be dependent on weaponry is rather shallow. Especially how the gunplay is. Republic era guns have different types and versions. A lackluster amount of weapon variation is not a problem that can't be fixed. However that's not the point I want to make, I just want to remove the TL-50 out of the CT weapon pool and replace it with something better. The CT regiment is specifically the most mundane, they're all clones. That's their only selling point, and those who stay in the CT reg would understand that. They would get a "New Weapon" which could be a beefed up version of the DC-15a having the same stats as the TL-50. The gun is really ugly. Muddling the weapon pool with out of place guns is not befitting of the era, it should only be a last resort move. __________________________________ TL-50 is one of the best weapons the CT regiment has. I think it's ugly, I found out it doesn't fit canon a valid point. I knew it would be possible to have a propper replacement. And so that urged me to make a suggestion to replace it with something similar and more fitting. The replacement wouldn't undermine the regiment's combat effectiveness. And luck would have it there's a valid replacement the DC-15LE. The DC15LE is literally a beefed up DC15a that could be given the same stats as the TL-50. But why make the effort of doing a re-skin? Cause it looks better, and fits the canon. Just because the server isn't lore friendly doesn't mean this idea get shot down, nor does this suggestion mean that all other non-canon stuff needs to be replaced. _______________________________ The DC-15LE is in game already as a scoped version I believe. The gun in battlefront 2 is setup as an LMG. The DC-15LE Without a scope, using the same stats or similar to the TL-50, is nothing impossible to have.
  10. +1 Would be a great addition for EC. Something like the orbital strike, but able to be taken out of action by players.
  11. +1 Sounds like an essential RP item.
  12. What your suggestion is: Adding a body-group option to remove the color scheme for visual rank identification. (off by default)Scriptfodder/workshop link: N/AAny additional information: Medics would still have their medical markings. Body-group option for external equipment is already a feature. Why I want this feature? The CT regiment mainly communicates via in-game means during an event. Before the start of an event a leader and co-leader is decided on. Usually the highest and second highest ranking clones will not be leading. And beside the chosen leaders there will still be a lot of high ranking troops left. In combat it's hard to quickly recognize the leaders because there are clones of them. Troops won't always be in earshot. Giving the option to NCO+ to look similar to ET, would give an additional visual aid and thus a more cohesive environment. It also would compliment the RP aspect. As in reality, there wouldn't be more NCO+ than ET. The in-game use would be under the discretion of CT-Hierarchy. _______________________ With the lead & co lead system, CT's only need to know who their leaders are. The leaders are distinguished with their stripes. So visually it would be easy, as the CT regiment is the only regiment utilizing non-marked armor and thus the ones in charge will stick out more. In any case those worth while, that follow orders, will stick together with their fellow troopers. I'm not suggesting the discontinued use of rank colors. They would be used at the discretion of those in charge. It depends on Hierarchy policies. The strength of the regiment comes from the sheer volume of clones. Showing it by wearing the same armor is aesthetically pleasing. _______________________ CT CO Dwev said he wanted the use of colors while we are at base, but is open to the suggestion during events. Look at the gif, The ARC Captain represents the leader or co-leader. For those who didn't care to read this comprehensively, the ability of removing your own colors is a feature not something forced by design.
