  1. +1 Would be extremely helpful and would also make sims involving more than two teams much easier. But like silent said its not very urgent so it may be denied.
  2. Man became invincible to CG for a day
  3. +1 Should be a good, fun use of credits that merely sit around in your inventory for ages. Whilst the risks of having virtual gambling on a server where younger and more impressionable people are present, as well as having the currency being gambled over available to be purchased with real money, i don't think it should be too much of a problem.
  4. -1 Saves SOs a job but could be misused, takes away a claim for staff Also contacting staff takes less than 2 seconds and they usually help fairly quickly so there isn't much point
  5. Imagine playing Jedi, who does that
  6. +1 We need some event planners with good experience as Jedi Clearly competent All other reasons listed above Good luck!
  7. -1/Neutral Aces shouldn't frontline and if they had their DC-17s removed, they'd have little to set them apart from other Guardian sub-paths. If them frontlining and going against the rules becomes a continual problem then yes, I do think they should be removed. However until then, let them keep their pistols
  8. +1 Would add something fun to do during defcon 5 situations, so long as it is done right. If not, it could be teduious and a waste of people's time. The cases in question would need to be interesting and not just typical crimes e.g. a CT jumping off of a balcony or something and being arrested for misconduct, as well as CG will need to call cases and arrests out accordingly and not abuse the system by any means. If done well however, i think it could be some fun RP stuff to do outside of trainings and events.
  9. +1 DC-15A sucks so it would be good to give 212th another means to fight people without spamming rockets
  10. +1 Clearly competent due to being EP and CG commander Great playtime Multiple commander roles helps with understanding of other regiments and ability to lead well Seen him lead CG very well Detailed app
  11. Big old +1 Great guy Good at leading; experience from GM and Jedi Very dedicated to what he does Would make a great member of Battalion Extremely competent at whatever he is doing Isn't that known on the server
  12. +1 Good app Event looks fun and well done, even if the superweapon part is a bit cliche As someone who plays both Jedi and Clone roles, he'll be able to make fun and balanced events for both roles Very active Clearly dedicated as this is his 6th app GL
  13. Another thing that i think should be implemented is the addition of noting which ranks can overrule which rules e.g. Rear Admiral can break bronze rule and the silver rule cannot be broken. This is a really important topic when it comes to tryouts and mandoes so it would be a good idea to ensure that NCOs are teaching new cadets this if they aren't already. It would also be a good idea to write down the expected, updated and correct callouts for the hostile VIP diamond becasue they aren't listed anywhere to learn from and also seemed to have changed. This would help SOs too so that we don't strike someone in a tryout for doing a changed callout that we don't know is right for whatever reason. It would also help create a universal callout structure because it seems different regiments have different callouts but that might just be me.
  14. If you need your role requested please do the following in a new thread. 16. Ah mb, am i allowed to edit the font after posting?
  17. Out of Character Section - Steam Name: ✪ Ratsmeister ✪ Steam ID: STEAM_0:0:160053386 Current rank on the server: GM Colonel, Platinum VIP, PAC3 Age: 16 What is your playtime: 3 Weeks, 5 days, 23 hours (as of 23/06/2020) Do you have a microphone, is it good quality: Yes however I have been told it can be quiet sometimes in Gmod game chat since the microphone quality update Have you read and looked through the Battalion Handbook: Yes I have Do you meet the requirements: Yes, I believe I do. Quick summary about you: (70 Words - Minimum) There’s not much to say about myself other than the fact that I’m 16, from the UK and I am a massive Star Wars nerd. I joined SWRP one evening with a friend a while ago because I was bored, expecting to only play it once and never look back at it again. Since then however, I’ve poured hundreds of hours into the server and reached the rank of colonel in GM and Jr Guardian in Jedi. In Character Section - In-Game name: (Regiment, Rank and then your name) GM Colonel Bean Highest rank obtained: GM Colonel What current rank do you have: GM Colonel What is your current regiment: Galactic Marines Why should we pick you for Battalion: (200 Words - Minimum) I believe I should be picked for Battalion due to my interest and experience with leading as well as my good activity and ability to fulfil my responsibilities consistently. Firstly, being a GM colonel has mean I have ample experience when it comes to leading, both inside events and outside in training. I’ve always had an interest in leading; always volunteering to step in and take charge when available. Moreover, working as a GM in all sorts of roles from frontlining to defence to even reconnaissance has helped teach me an understanding of each regiment’s roles and strengths, allowing for more engaging and streamlined events. Secondly, I am mature and can knuckle down and do my job well when the need arises. Whilst I’m not going to pretend I haven’t joked around a bit at defcon 5, without outright minging of course, I can understand the discipline required for Battalion and am perfectly capable of taking things seriously both inside and outside defcon 5 and training conditions to fit the role. My performance as GM in events and trainings helps prove this. Moreover, I am polite and respectful to people around me. Finally, I have consistently had both excellent performance and activity for GM over the past 3 weeks, showing my great overall activity and willingness and ability to consistently fulfil my responsibilities better than required. This, along with my rank of colonel, shows my dedication and commitment towards both my regiment and the server as a whole. Describe the roles and responsibilities of Battalion: (100 Words - Minimum) Battalion has numerous roles and responsibilities for different conditions. For example on defcon 5, Battalion exists to ensure the base is running smoothly, granting and denying requests of all kinds as well as holding open or mandatory trainings and sims as well as making sure people are holding trainings and sims correctly. Any problems that occur on base are Battalion’s job to correct. At defcon 4-1 it is Battalion’s job to lead and order all regiments and advise them on what to do, as well as filling them in and informing them about developments in the current situation. However, it is the leading Battalion member and the support leader who makes the decisions for the troops with every other Battalion sticking with their regiment or fighting with the frontline, always following the lead’s orders no matter the rank. Throughout every event, the leading Battalion also has to communicate with the current event planner(s) to notify them of the situation to prevent confusion, allowing them react accordingly as to not break the event, as well as managing both briefings and debriefings to sufficiently inform people about what’s happening or what just happened and to give criticism or praise if necessary to regiments who performed well or poorly. Have you ever been demoted, banned or kicked: (If so, explain why) No however I do have A warn from May 2020 about using an adrenaline shot exploit which has since expired and has been learnt from. Do you understand that Battalion is a very respectable and disciplined rank: As mentioned before, I fully understand and am prepared to take this role seriously. What do Battalion do during Combat, when they are not leading? (IN DETAIL) Battalion’s job during combat whilst not leading is essentially to reinforce A/their regiment or the frontline by providing their skills and weaponry to help. Battalion with regiments are not permitted to command them directly as this would be the regimental commander’s job however they are able to direct them about how to follow an order. Battalion in combat must always listen to the leading Battalion’s orders, no matter the rank difference. Whether that be to support an individual regiment, defend or search an area or join the frontline, non-leading Battalion members are expected to follow these orders at all times. What are the 3 duties a Battalion Officer Cadet has to complete before getting promoted as part of his mentoring session?: · To do a training that includes faces, formations and questions such as a mando · To successfully lead an event of some kind · To call and do a debrief What is the job of the Co-Leader during events?: To put it simply, Battalion co-leaders exist to help the leading Battalion make decisions and grant and deny requests should the lead Battalion be busy. The co-leader is not allowed to have a voice amp alongside the leader or able to give out any major orders themselves. Anything else:
  18. +1 In the times that i've seen him, Donkey seems really dedicated to whatever he is doing, whether it be ARC evals, do doing his job as a CG or just participating an event in general. If he keeps this dedication into Batt i think he'd do pretty good. Also detailed app and seems to have a good amount of experience leading things.
