  1. Making a load of systems/roles that are usually what particular regiments are entirely based around into regimental ranks is a pretty cool idea but I don't think it'll serve to make the server better. Regimental medics makes sense as it allows individual regiments to coordinate better with their own medics and allows people to both use medical and combat equipment as opposed to just sticking in the backlines to just heal every event. Sure, it required the complete dissolution of 74th but it really just streamlined the process of getting healed in events as well as kept the existing research system in the form of a new yet smaller and more exclusive regiment that gives more options for people to aim for, alongside becoming a regimental medic of course. In short, Regimental Medics and RRD adds variety and extra quality of life onto the server which makes up for the loss of the 74th. Removing other regiments and turning their particular niches into seperate regimental roles is a cool idea if you're not a member of one of them but it wouldn't serve to the betterment of the server in my opinion. Regimental pilots, regimental scouts/snipers, regimental police, regimental engineers, regimental flametroopers or any other regimental roles that existing regiments revolve around wouldn't make the server any easier or fun really and would feel like just a change for the sake of it because it's kinda cool. It's easier for pilots/scouts/police to coordinate in their own regiments as opposed to medics because their individual jobs wouldn't benefit from having to work with other people within the regiment that don't operate in the same regimental role (For example, why would a dogfighting 21st regimental pilot need to have active communications with the rest of the regiment who's focus is ovbiously not on the enemy ships? It would also be more inefficient to have members of multiple regiments moving around to separate channels to coordinate. And even in the rare case that the rest of the regiment may have an interest in what the pilot is doing such as asking for CAS or to target a particular hostile on the ground or in the air for whatever reason, it's more Battalion's job to coordinate that via comms and not the responsibility of the members of the regiment) whilst medics don't really need to communicate in their own niche regiment as they are supposed to be offering a service to others in the form of healing whilst the other roles aren't, with the exception of transport obviously but this is mainly focused around benefiting all regiments as having 13 transports running around carrying every regiment and Jedi would be taxing on the server and also a waste when you can cram the server limit onto 4-5 LAATs anyway. It would just be harder to coordinate these roles between regiments and would result in the unecessary removal of a regiment. Plus, CE and all of the other regiments are doing just fine performing their niches. You can argue that 74th was doing alright too but it was always a hassle to spend a load of time combing the backlines for minutes on end trying to find a 74th when you can have a regimental medic fighting nearby you who can sort you out quicker. No more spamming "74th location" in comms. TLDR: Regimental medics and RRD make the server easier at the cost of 74th whilst making other niches into regimental roles is unecessary and will just serve to upset people.
  2. +1 Solid event plan. I think more events should be held in Iraq as it feels very underused. 55, got lots of experience planning events. Understands the responsibilities EPs have.
  3. It would be so cool but would also be pretty scuffed for a number of reasons unfortunately. Better to leave CE to it.
  4. Pretty much just playing as a CT.
  5. I think reg medics are better as they allow regiments to have dedicated members to help heal/stim when needed. It is far easier to coordinate with medics that are within your regiment than to just run around and hope you run into a 74th. It also benefits regiments such as the 21st and the 41st as it means people with medical equipment can keep up with us and heal troopers from areas usually unaccessable without the assistance of a grappling hook, jetpack or aircraft. Also, you can argue that progression can be found in RRD as it primarily serves as the medical regiment on the server whilst regimental medics just acts as a way to streamline healing in events and add another branching specialisation for members in regiments to persue. In my opinion, the decision to remove 74th and replace them with regimental medics and RRD was a tough one but one that was definitely worth it in the end and as someone who obviously wasn't 74th at the time of its removal, I'm glad that the change was made.
  6. +1 If it is genuinely accidental then him having a warn in the first place is just pointless. Also, other people have committed similar accidents which didn't result in warns so its only fair that Cody is let off.
  7. +1 If the prerequisite for having an extra piece of equipment of my choice was managing 30+ people then where do I sign up? Just unneeded for the people focused on research and healing to be able to pick any weapon they like. Just give them a singular permanent weapon or something, not taken from an existing regiment mind you. Also Talos was an NCO in the screenshot so he of course wouldn't be benefiting from the extra weapon.
  8. +1 If he even just puts in 10% of the effort from Battalion into EP, he'd be really good. Detailed event plan, clearly dedicated to the role.
  9. Neutral Great guy Has had loads of experience practically everywhere on the server, reaching numerous high ranks Detailed app Has been demoted several times from most high ranking positions, blacklisted from Jedi and lost staff and EP I haven't spoken to you since you were blacklisted in Jedi but you've always been a nice guy and if what Barry and Aleks say is true, hopefully you've changed. Whilst people do have a reason to not trust you with power due to your demotions, i do definitely think you deserve another chance at redeeming yourself and i feel like Batt would be a great place to do it. Either way, good luck.
  10. +1 this applicant is one of the best I have ever seen and I think he should get it instantaneously

    unban

lol Yeah but what Aleks said -1
  12. Neutral 1st map looks cool but would require a lot of textures as Shepherd has said. 2nd map would be good but the JT appears pitch black so it wouldn't make for a good base map. 3rd map looks really cool and would be nice for a base map. 4th map looks sick but not very RP friendly. 5th map looks pretty good. 6th map cold be cool but it doesn't really fit the Star Wars aesthetic. May be better as a base map.
  13. +1 I experienced what Evilgejf was like during his last months on the server as well as spoken to him after his ban outside of Gmod several times and i can safely say that the man deserves another chance. He didn't come onto the server to directly minge before he was banned and the 30 warns he accumulated were over the span of 3 years. I can 100% vouch for this to be honest as pretty much all of the times i've seen Evilgejf misbehave and end up getting warned was because of retarded, seemingly impulsive actions which occur as a result of him taking things too far in the moment which ends up with him getting into trouble and regretting it. His continued commitment to the server (up until his ban obviously) and the amount of time it took to eventually get himself permabanned shows, at least to me, that his statement is true. Plus several people have had their permabans removed under last chances and for the most part they have done fine so i definitely think that Evilgejf deserves to be among them.
  14. +1 Calling her overqualified would be the understatement of the century. But yeah what Bronze said; its an important and very sought after rank so you need to make sure you stick around and put effort in if you do end up achieving the role.
  15. -1 Sorry chief but even if you did tell the others to leave, you still did blow them up. That and you weren't supposed to execute the guy in the first place.
  16. +1 Makes sense as Jedi are very OP and wouldnt be concerned in petty matters unless it involved something directly related to them. Ruins the fun for criminal jobs when they are just being steamrolled.
  17. Neutral Both very cool looking. Can lead to some great events. They are both quite large; especially the Republic Commando one which is 249mb.
  18. Neutral It looks very cool and has an extremely small file size but idon't know how often it would be used.
  19. I more so meant that since regiments like these (but not these specifically mind you) may have generably more desirable and useful equipment, they could be targetted and focused by criminal jobs due to either stealing a load of their valuable weapons to sell for a larger amount of money or keep to use for attacks, ambushes, other kidnappings and what not. It was more or less just a worse case scenario where these regiments would be prime targets to farm if they ever exited Main Base in order to get their stuff, but i'll admit it is a bit far-fetched. Maybe this would work. Adding only a slight increase like that which could be could be bought would add some progression whilst still also only slightly increasing the bank size to a level which will likely not encourage hoarding. Would be a good compromise imo.
  20. Surely increasing the amount of items you have would also hurt the economy? I don't know how much extra space you or Loki are suggesting to add but wouldn't encouraging and making it easier to stockpile powerful weapons also reduce their price as they could run the risk of becoming more common? I understand that this is just a GMod server and not a dynamic market simulator with supply and demand but I guarantee that prices would be affected somewhat if a load of people could hold tens of these valuable weapons at one given time. Also, the server doesn't need a huge gun economy anyway as it will encourage the constant kidnapping of clones, especially those with more potent weaponry and equipment like that of the 41st, 21st, 501st and 212th, and is just uneeded in general with other far easier ways to generate large amounts of money. Like I say, the existence of a limit is for balancing purposes and prevents mass hoarding of goods. There needs to be a downside to being able to steal and hold onto Republic equipment or everyone would do it to a potentially extreme extent. I don't think adding the option to increase the amount of stuff you can hoard would benefit the additional RP outside of events anymore than just making criminal jobs more OP and giving clones more reason not to exit MB.
  21. -1 Would just encourage criminal jobs to kidnap, steal and hoard more powerful weapons. I feel as if the limited bank size is a way to balance out being a criminal job with powerful Republic equipment so you don't just end up with a stockpile of OP weapons to harrass people with. It should be a risk and reward system where you risk your good weapons to do something as opposed to having a potentially nearly infinite supply.
  22. +1 Been EP before and was responsible for some of the most fun and creative events i've experienced on the server. Experienced on the server in general Reached several high ranks Jedi event?
  23. Tbh i reckon Viatza would make a great EP. He puts an obscene amount of effort into any and all aspects of RP in Jedi and i can imagine him putting in the same work when it comes to his responsibility as an EP. Unfortunately however, most of the template is missed. Pretty much what Solaire said ^^
  24. +1 Fish man. Great experience on the server, reaching several high ranks such as Jedi High Council and 104th colonel. High playtime. Definitely deserves a shot at Battalion.
