Jonas Hoffman got a reaction from Drake Watcher in Max Livio's Staff Application
Good afternoon, once again I return to the forums to give my feedback to the incoming SCP-RP Staff Applications as they have recently re-opened for the instalment of V7. Below I will give in detail my response and thoughts on your application.
Taking a look at your application structure and features, I would say that you managed to answer most of the application questions precisely and clearly. It is important to understand that the more clear and precise an application is, the better. This does not only concern applications on this Forum for a virtual position, but in general for real-life encounters such as job applications, and forms for acquiring titles. I am also happy that you included a link to your Steam profile, however, in other fields such as your playtime and previous warns there is nothing. I will understand, due to the server being inaccessible to all members of the SCP player base this is virtually impossible with the exclusion of old Screenshots. As a reminder, do not let it become a habit when the server releases.
You mention your level of activity, which seems to be around 10~ hours a day, which to me seems unrealistic if you measure in other events that might take place in your life, however, the baseline then would be at least in the hours of a day, which is excellent. Your time zone and where you originate from do not seem to have an issue with the weekly Staff Meetings that will be organized in the future, just remember that you lie one hour ahead of the British Timezone that the server uses as a standard.
You mention being in both Discord Support and Server Staff before reaching the peak of Administrator throughout your membership in the staff teams. You mention you don't exactly remember when circa you served these positions, however looking at the Staff Spreadsheet you can get a better idea from your previous demotions, something I will get into further down the line. We can see on the spreadsheet that you were at least an Administrator in 2020, and a Senior-Moderator in 2021 and attempted to rejoin the Server Staff team in August of last year. I could not find any trace of you directly being in the Discord Support Team, however, I have spoken to some individuals who recognize your appearance as a part of Discord Moderation sometime throughout this period.
You show per requirement basic knowledge of ULX commands something to be expected based on your previous records within Werewolf Gaming as both a Server Staff Member and Discord Support. The commands you mention are some of the most essential outside of utilizing both menus and !xban, or the TAB menu to issue commands, such as bringing an individual to you, freezing them, as well as the !goto command which teleports you to a player. As a future tip for becoming a Staff Member, and this goes for all applicants or those who are considering applying, I'd recommend when getting the opportunity to tie together pieces, to include as much as possible whilst doing so, without overdoing it. In the question regarding basic ULX knowledge, it is a perfect opportunity to show knowledge of other features the server has, such as !Menu, the TAB Menu commands, and other things, of course for those who are familiar with them. This can aid in giving an advantage to other applicants, the more knowledge you can show you have, the more likely you are to be picked. Again, there's no point in overdoing it, however, that is not for me nor my place to give input on, considering I am the only member of these Forums who puts effort into their responses.
It is great to hear that you have a lot of motivation to become a member of our Server Staff team, Just remember whether you are accepted or not, to play in moderation. As I have mentioned to previous applicants in my feedback, burnouts happen frequently if you put in a lot of effort constantly, and keep the pressure. It is important to take breaks, failure to do so may result in not wanting to play resulting in dropping activity and constant LoAs. Speaking of Inactivity and LoAs, your record as a previous Server Staff member is not entirely clean. You have been demoted twice for inactivity, once as an Administrator, and once as a Senior-Moderator. Because of this, although you say things have been figured out, I hope you understand I have to consider it when grading your application.
Unlike other applicants I have seen, you seize the opportunity to tie in more of the role of the G.O.I and Foundation oppositions when mentioning what the SCP-RP genre is about. You explain however very simply, and my best tip for the future is also talking about how all of these factors matter for the Roleplay experience as a whole. It is a Roleplay genre, you manage to explain about parts of what is in the genre, but not how all these cohere, well, at least not aiming for the Grade: "A+" if this was an exam. Still, I am happy you mentioned the free will to create a character and play as them. That is what roleplay is about. I also like that you give a little description of some of the roles of the G.O.I. you mention.
I would've personally liked to see some examples of the V6 ruleset you are asked if you know anything about, although it is not necessary, as I constantly say in my feedback to any applicant of any application, when you have the chance, seize it! If you want to secure a position, put in effort where you see there is a possibility. If you are accepted, I recommend you re-read the rules for the release of SCP-RP V7 and keep in mind that these rules will be rewritten to some extent.
To summarize, the structure of your application follows the template, and you elaborate on most questions well. There have been previous hiccups with activity, you attempt to redeem yourself now with this application, mentioning things are going better for you. I hope that you can show this redemption if you were to be accepted. Looking past this, you answer the questions that are asked, you don't seize every opportunity to fill with as much information as possible, but regardless this is no bad application. With your previous record, I'd say that if the Server Management feels forgiving, they should give you a chance for this redemption!

Good evening. I was encouraged to view the forums by the Server Management due to the staff applications for the SCP-RP server opening again. I have read your application carefully and below I will give my thoughts on what you have answered in the application:
Firstly, the structure of your application is neat, something I'm sure the Server Management appreciates. The more concrete, solid and on-point an application is, the better. Including links to your Steam profile and previous references is also great. You answer all if not that; most of the questions directly, and you get to the point. Outside of this, you mention your availability for when the server releases which seems to be in hours a day, something that is outstanding. Just be careful of eventual burnouts!
Moving into the answers you have given to the application questions, you show that you have at least basic knowledge of ULX commands, something I'd expect from a previous Administrator. You mention you can be on the server at times when other staff members can not. This is also a good feat, as we need diversity in the staff team to cover as much of the time on the server as possible. I have checked your timezone based on where you are from, and there does not appear to be any issue in attending staff meetings organized by the Server Management. I like how you mention the connection as a staff member not only to in-game responsibilities, but also how sometimes Discord has to be used to resolve situations such as evidence, and so forth. However, when connecting this tie, I'd preferred if you'd also mention that if you were unable to join the server, to also redirect them to another staff member who was online at the time. (If there was another staff member online at that time.) You seem very focused on the Foundation aspect of what the SCP-RP genre is about, I would have liked to see more about the whole system in a simplified form, and how these cohere, essentially including more of the G.O.I role and how this affects the overall Roleplay experience.
You mention some simple but golden rules in your understanding of the SCP-RP ruleset for v6, remember that for v7 these rules will be reviewed again, and potential loopholes will be plugged with help from the player base. I'd encourage you to re-read the rules if you were to be accepted into the staff team, as sure; the rules you mentioned are those that are the most reoccurring, but there are countless rules regarding how different G.O.Is' can act, and how certain jobs can do things. These are also essential for staff members to know so that they can resolve staff sits as quickly and effectively as possible.
Overall, this was a good application, some lacking parts as I mentioned above, but nothing hysterical. I do not see any issue in giving you an upvote, however, I hope again that if you are accepted, you mind your own mental health over a virtual game. You previously resigned from a staff position for this exact reason, so take things with pace, and best of luck!

Jonas Hoffman got a reaction from Enzo in Kicker's Battalion Application
Good evening, I was attracted to the forums although I haven’t been active due to information I received regarding battalion applications opening. Despite having a minor rank within the Clone-Wars community, I hope that my previous senior positions and/or current positions elsewhere in the community as a whole can lay weight on the opinions and considerations I express down below.

Opening my analytics of this application, I must first mention the candidate, Kicker. Although I have not been in this part of the community for a long time, I met Kicker a couple of weeks ago as a Colonel of the Combat Engineers, which I joined through a tryout he hosted.

From what I have observed in the duration I have been a part of the CE, Kicker appears to be a competent man socializing with those in the regiment without fail, which was what interested me the most in even commenting on this post. One of the first things I noticed was the activity of his which is immaculate. As an avid avoider of sleep, I frequently join both the Teamspeak server and Garry’s Mod server at strange times, where most of the time I have encountered Kicker either enjoying time with those still active through entertaining events or as an acting leader when all else are asleep.
However, this is not only during the night. As I feel most individuals who have had an interaction with him can attest to, this also corresponds to the afternoon and evening, where you can encounter him at essentially any time, playing as he will: the CE Colonel.

Moving on, regarding the application itself.. From what I have read from both the application template and other applicants, Kicker manages to answer the questions asked adequately. The questions that require more in-depth answers and information, are filled out properly.
My only «wordy» complaint in terms of the application itself as written is the formatting. Despite spacing in different sections, there was no attempt to separate the questions from the answers either by making the text thicker or adding room between; leading me to believe it was an addition to former paragraphs at first.

In terms of his current in-character and out-of-character position(s) within the Clone-Wars community, he holds an in-character rank which in my belief is adequate to enter the Battalion as a Cadet. As an Event-Planner, Kicker is able to get a better grip on taking command of events with his understanding of how events are sown together, alongside his cooperation with the rest of the EP-team.
My only concern in regard to being a member of the Battalion as an Event-Planner is the amount of fraternizing that can occur, which he must be careful to avoid as a leader of combat and the base. Fraternization is more «dangerous» than frequently mentioned, as it starts with talking, then you socialize frequently with them, and a bond is established. This cannot happen between higher and lower ranks as it may result in bias! So long he remembers this, it should be of no concern.

The warning he received for RDM x2 is curious, despite the: «date not being mentioned» as I quoted from an individual above, if they’d take more than 5 seconds to analyse the screenshot itself, the date is present in the warning. Although I understand that throughout an application process, the applicant should try to do as much to make the application as sleek, smooth and easy for the analysers to see.
This does not only apply to this Forum or imaginary job, but also in real life for work applications, something Kicker will now learn and remember, I’m sure.

As a summary and the end notes, in comparison to other individuals who’ve applied, the questions are correctly answered, the application is mostly clean and has an effort to make it easy for the eyes, in perspective to my reply...
Kicker is a hard-working, active community member both on Teamspeak and on the game itself, but also in the Discord and in cooperation with other regiment members. Therefore, I personally do not see a big issue with accepting this applicant as a cadet into the Battalion, where he can learn further.
This finally leads me to my recommendation, and a rating of the applicant and his application as a whole:
    +1
     - Active in all aspects of the community around him.
     - Competent, down to earth and adequate positions within the community.
     - Clean, proper-ish application which answers well to the questions asked.
     - Cooperative, understanding and proper in manner.

Apologies for the monotone reply to all readers, however, I am writing this on mobile! In the future, it will be better.

And as always to all applicants, I wish you good luck.

Jonas Hoffman got a reaction from Xursa in Ban Appeal (sorry)
    Good day!
It was I who banned you for these actions, not Heinrich Peiper. Although Peiper indeed was present, since he is a Moderator and could not ban for a prolonged amount of time I did so. However when I reflect on the scenarios that took place I will agree in the stance that 8 weeks additional ban time for a situation like this is a bit much.
You were banned for a justified reason, as you agree upon yourself. The NITRP came into the picture when I checked the Lockpicking logs and saw massive spikes in constant lockpicking around Reich buildings, which led me to believing you came on the server to do something like this:
    > Get on W-G NRP.
    > Go criminal.
    >Lockpick buildings, steal documents.

However, your knowledge about Reich documents, as well as the fact you seem interested in the server shows that you are interested in an aspect of it, and therefore I will get it organized so that your ban may be reduced to what the initial ban was for, FailRP, Fail-Raid, or so that you may get unbanned as I believe your ban time is well overdue.
    Thank you!

Jonas Hoffman got a reaction from Apollo - Karl Sommerfield in Karl Sommerfield Staff Application V2
I will not go into extreme depth about this application, as I believe many above me has already explained the same points we're all thinking. So, I will just go shortly into my own view, and thoughts.
Well, firstly, Karl Sommerfield has been a part of this community for a long time. Examples of this being Sommerfield as Hauptsturmführer of the 2nd. SS, and Oberleutnant of Kompanie 'Bruno', as he was the first ever Oberleutnant of the then "new" 'Bruno' and 'Caesar'. It is honestly quite the shame I never interacted with him in roleplay back then, however based on my recent interactions with the guy, he seems more then competent.
Honestly, I think all that staff support also speaks for itself, man's got the entire Admin team backing him on this one. Best part yet, humble opinion based on these interactions I've had with him, man seems pretty clear in the head, knows what he's talking about, not a schizo in the background, he is clearly aware of the rules, and I believe his former Staff experience backs this up. This application is also very detailed.
So! From me, this is a huge +1, and I hope you get accepted, as I think you'll be a good asset to the current Staff team.
    Good luck!

I want Bierschenk back, he was competent, and he has shown to me that he has changed his ways, I believe if he was to be unbanned, it wouldn't be a bad thing at all.

Previous encounters with you on the server shows that you are a competent one, and I am also aware that you have had past staff experience. That is also why I cannot say much, indeed as has been stated many times from other users before; yes the application is underdetailed, however I am willing to skip over that part as your experience covers over it I'd say. As for you in-game, you aren't that much of a minge and you're able to differentiate a serious situation from a goofy one. Times I've encountered you as staff in previous times, you've been helpful, other RP situations I've encountered you in, you've done excellently! Due to your past experience as a staff member you know your commands & shit when on duty, which will only boost you further. There's not much more I can say, as if anyone is deserving for another shot as a staff member, I believe that is you.
    Therefore:
