What is the role or task of a site director, in your own words? The site director's task varies from perspective to perspective. For one, it can be a placeholder position made to ensure a smooth and well-disciplined work environment. and for others, a position so high and prestigeous that they can't even imagine themselves there. In my words, the role of a site director is to both ensure a well-operating, smooth-going site while taking certain orders from certain people and reporting to them accordingly. Also to add, site director is the highest rank one can get to or know about in the foundation. They represent the highest position on the site; therefore, everyone below the hierarchy usually reports to them, if not to their department heads, etc. 

To simplify the site director's task on the site, as the name suggests, direct the site to ensure a smooth, disciplined work environment while still holding a serious and important role in the foundation.

What do you expect to do while being apart of management if you are accepted?: As the server is being updated, we are to expect major changes done to quite literally everything, and the systems we had from V7 will be obsolete... we will have to naturally keep up with it and adjust accordingly. I will ensure that everything will be done in a good, logical matter and ensure a well built job for the release to present a well made, organised job. after the release, according to how the server progresses, we will have to do changes here and there and i, with the directorate, will decide and again make sure to have a well organised and planned changes implemented to the job while ensuring a serious and prestigeous job the Side Director job is and the position it holds in the server.

As for the previous, known issues of the job back in V6, i will present answers and fixes to SMT and implement them accordingly. Such issues for example; Activity of the job at some point of the server that got fixed by the previous management, Players that had the Whitelist but couldnt RP properly due to lack of knowledge of the job, creating a weak view for the Site Director Position. Lack of communication between the departments and such due to some powerhungry players that isolated themselves from others.

Now you might say that these are all player-related issues, and you would be correct, but remember that players act according to what they see or what they think is right for the job, and it's our job as the directorate to create guides and possibly tasks for them to do to ensure a fair and correct roleplay being done while still allowing players to act with their creativity. These shortcomings will mean that the player will not have an example to work with and create his own persona.

Good evening. I was encouraged to view the forums by the Server Management due to the staff applications for the SCP-RP server opening again. I have read your application carefully and below I will give my thoughts on what you have answered in the application:
Firstly, the structure of your application is neat, something I'm sure the Server Management appreciates. The more concrete, solid and on-point an application is, the better. Including links to your Steam profile and previous references is also great. You answer all if not that; most of the questions directly, and you get to the point. Outside of this, you mention your availability for when the server releases which seems to be in hours a day, something that is outstanding. Just be careful of eventual burnouts!
Moving into the answers you have given to the application questions, you show that you have at least basic knowledge of ULX commands, something I'd expect from a previous Administrator. You mention you can be on the server at times when other staff members can not. This is also a good feat, as we need diversity in the staff team to cover as much of the time on the server as possible. I have checked your timezone based on where you are from, and there does not appear to be any issue in attending staff meetings organized by the Server Management. I like how you mention the connection as a staff member not only to in-game responsibilities, but also how sometimes Discord has to be used to resolve situations such as evidence, and so forth. However, when connecting this tie, I'd preferred if you'd also mention that if you were unable to join the server, to also redirect them to another staff member who was online at the time. (If there was another staff member online at that time.) You seem very focused on the Foundation aspect of what the SCP-RP genre is about, I would have liked to see more about the whole system in a simplified form, and how these cohere, essentially including more of the G.O.I role and how this affects the overall Roleplay experience.
You mention some simple but golden rules in your understanding of the SCP-RP ruleset for v6, remember that for v7 these rules will be reviewed again, and potential loopholes will be plugged with help from the player base. I'd encourage you to re-read the rules if you were to be accepted into the staff team, as sure; the rules you mentioned are those that are the most reoccurring, but there are countless rules regarding how different G.O.Is' can act, and how certain jobs can do things. These are also essential for staff members to know so that they can resolve staff sits as quickly and effectively as possible. 
Overall, this was a good application, some lacking parts as I mentioned above, but nothing hysterical. I do not see any issue in giving you an upvote, however, I hope again that if you are accepted, you mind your own mental health over a virtual game. You previously resigned from a staff position for this exact reason, so take things with pace, and best of luck!

13 hours is not enough for you to get the site director role. you need to be well known among the community and in RP.
 
 


when we say past experience, we meant the experience in this server. you being high ranking on other server does not mean anything on this app.

 
the rest of the app is meh, a little underdetailed compared to the accepted ones.

(250 word minimum): ive been playing this server for over two years now. ive had time to observe other staff members, the player base, the roleplay. i have all the punishment list and time amounts memorized in my mind. even if i dont i can just look it up since it takes no longer than a minute. ive read the rules multiple times and try to help other staff members as much as i can in the sits. i rather help the person in character rather than straight warning or banning them if they do something wrong, so both the players playing the character can learn and actually roleplay with every other user. because of my knowledge of the rules, i know allmost every job's rules too. i am usually friendly towards other players, cant be stressed that easly. i can respond fast to all situations without a problem. i am knowledged on commands, what to do on certain sits, reasons for warning/kick/ban, amount of time to ban if needed. i am usually serious no matter what, other than a out of character friends chit chat. even tho i dont have staff experience, i will try my best to learn or do a good job, i have lots of friends on staff team so even tho i might stumble a little im pretty sure i will have some people willing to help me on my way if i get accepted. also because i dont have a life im pretty sure i will be able to staff for a good few hours a day.

How long will you be able to play per day?: usually upto 6 hours a day, but it may differ depending on certain days. i have a work so i can only join on the times you can count as night or "peak" times.
Any past experience as staff?: none. this was the first and only server i play on gmod other than a few communities that no longer exists.
Any previous warns/bans? If so why? (maximum of 15 warns, exceptions can be made.): 1 FearpRp warn. i was at a surface mission by my own and i stumbled upon a CI raid at GA, right about to shoot they tactical cuffed me and i accidentaly broke out and than all the situation went downhill. i tried to stop but they were shooting. Norra was the one who warned me and i knew i did something wrong. i apologized to the victims and asked norra to respawn dead players. he said hell take over from there and returned me back to my position
Do you know the basic ULX commands Yes/No: i know all of the commands of ULX.
there are 7 shortcuts in total but only 3 of them is the most used. they are; "*" which is target all, "^" which is target yourself and "@" which is target the person youre looking at.
as for the main commands im only going to state the commands that staff on duty uses. they are;
!goto (name), Teleports you to the player
!bring (name), brings player to you
!return (name), returns the player to their original place
!warn (name, steamID) (reason) warns the player for the stated reason
!kick (name, steamID) (reason) kicks the player from the server with the stated reason
!ban (name, steamID) (time) (Reason) Bans the player for the given time with the reason stated.
!freeze (name) freezes the player
!jail (name) (optional time) jails the player
!unfreeze (name) unfreezes the player
!unjail (name) unjails the player
There are lots of other commands too but these are the most common commands that staff on duties use, i can state other commands if requested.
Do you know what SCP-RP is about? (not just job descriptions): SCP-RP is a roleplay type where you usually roleplay as a foundation member, however on our server you can select a large variety of GOIs at surface.
on foundation you can play on large variety of jobs. this could be research department which mainly does testing on SCP's with D-classes, the D-class that is being tested on, a security team which guards the critical positions of the site, interesting SCP's where you can roleplay as. theres also multiple task forces designated to their own branches. For the GOI part theres a lot of them, since we cant have all of them at once SMT usually changes them on time to time. GOI's main thing is depends on itself, such as CI trying to fuck up the foundation by infiltrating inside and eating it from there while getting supported by various GOI's. or MC&D which doesnt really care if its not money, they usually aid the CI on the raids when they want to. there are lots of other GOI's but it will be hard and boring to list them all in here.

Do you understand the rules of SCP-RP(1 word is not an answer).: yes i totally do, since i only have one warn in two years its a good example of my understanding.


PS. i know the app is short but writing long shit no matter what it is really hard for me, i tried to but as much detail i could. i rather explain things by talking rather than typing anything. im looking for an exception on it pls 🙂
