    SCP V6 UPDATES

                Late 2021 to 2022

                    IMPORTANT!!!!!!!!!!
                      Radio Tool Package Update
Radio Tool has been updated to a newer version which will allow more sites to be used to play          audio though. It will also improve stability on existing streaming sites.
Remember, this tool is a paid plugin so please consider purchasing it here if you are interested in playing music in the server.
    Prop Limit System Update
With all credit going to @TomSa, a smart prop limit system has been introduced to the server to assist in reducing crashes and optimising performance across the board. This system places a cap on the amount of props that you can spawn, with this cap varying with the amount of players on.
For example, the more players on, the lower your prop limit. The less players on, the higher your prop limit.
Here is the baseline amount when there are 60 players on:
    User: 35 prop limit
    VIPs: 70 prop limit
    Staff: 105 prop limit
Event Team: Constant 500 prop limit.

    PAC-3 updated to latest version
Hey guys, we have updated PAC-3 on the public server to bring better compatibility and stability. It appears we running into some client crashing issues due to the outdated nature of our PAC-3 plugin.
This should improve a lot as I know some of your PAC lovers have been asking for an update for some time. Needless to say, this version will be in the V7 update too. We have released it here as it's a quality of life/maintenance update.

Plague has done some work on the VFire addon to optimise it and reduce performance issues that arise from it. The fix should already be out on the server.

    Rule Changes
    - Rule 1.19.1 updated from: IC Racism is acceptable as long as it is executed in a professional and non-exaggerated/mingy manner e.g. spamming the n word is not considered professional.
    to
Rule 1.19.1: Racism, homophobia, transphobia and all varieties of bigotry are forbidden In Character. We expect players to treat others with respect both outside and inside roleplay.
    - - Rule 1.2.5: Player and group uniforms are forgotten after 20 minutes of not being seen. You may keep refreshing the 20 minute timer if you actively see someone or are recieving information regrding uniforms from somebody actively seeing the uniforms (E.G: A Field Agent is spying on CI and reporting information about their uniforms on comms). Regular NLR takes priority over this 20 minute timer" has been removed. Documentation regarding uniforms may be made again, but only one document at any existing time is allowed.

    - Rule 1.11.2 has been amended from: The raid cooldown timer is 5 minutes.
    to
    - Rule 1.11.2: The raid cooldown timer is 20 minutes.
    - Rule 1.18.2 has been amended from:  You may not try to rescue a unit that is higher clearance level than you if you are not sure that you will be able to rescue him without getting him killed. You must be 100% sure!
    to
    - Rule 1.18.2: You may not try to rescue a unit taht is higher clearance than you if you are not sure you will be able to rescue him without getting him killed. When attempting to rescue a hostage, if the hostage-taker is not using the hostage to shield themselves from your line of fire and you can kill them without damaging the hostage at all, you would not be breaking consequenceRP. (Staff can check and verify this information)
If any action you take would damage the hostage as well, this is considered a rule break. Additionally, if the hostage is only partially shielding the hostage-taker, this would still break consequenceRP if you attempt to fire. (edited)
            -  Reworded 1.14 (Reasons to shot players) in regards to killing of people who attempt to detain/arrest.

Jeremy Sanders reacted to Atomik in Re-Add Point Shop
For those who don’t know (as it was quite a bit ago), the point shop was apart of making a group, wherein you’d have a set amount of points, and you’d have to chose what you want for the group, and each thing would cost a certain amount of points.
For this example, lets say the max was like 100 or something.  Lets say you want an AR-15, an Tazer, and all cuffs on your job which costs 75 points total.  Lets also say you wanted to have a healing swep, but it costs 50 points.  This would make you have to compensate.
Whilst my example is shitty, in practice it was much better.  It actually limited groups to have to chose what they deemed was more important to them, and such, would self balance without any real conscious effort (only like 2 groups were ever the exception to this).
Since the old forums were wiped, its likely SMT would need to create their own point system from scratch, but wouldnt be too hard.
Feel free to ask for more elaboration.

Current Warnings ( Show a screenshot ofyour warns in game):

    [IMPORTANT INFORMATION]
    1. Please list the first 3 roles of the Ethics Committee and what it is they do as part of the foundation and Site Administration?*

The Ethics Committee is lower than the Site Administration, but the Site Administration are unable to dictate the actions of the ethics committee. However, the ethics committee are able to demote Site Administration if their actions are deemed unethical. The ethics committee guides the O5 Council on what actions to and not to take to achieve the most beneficial and ethical outcome for the Foundation to succeed. The ethics committee monitors the actions of every single person employed by the Foundation to make sure they are all doing their best to follow the right protocols and work ethics and assist them in whatever way needed whether it be a Site Administration's decision or a researcher's test. They prosecute and re-educate those that are acting unethical such as breaking human violation laws of the codex, etc.
    2. Can you explain the 3 Lessons of the ethics committee and why they are important?*

The first lesson of the ethics committee is that while those employed by the Foundation may have done acts deemed evil, the Foundation still isn't considered the bad guy. This is due to the ethics committee, making sure that all unnecessary acts of aggression or hostility are non-existent. Sure, the Foundation may torture people from time to time, but that is only if it is deemed necessary by the ethics committee for the benefit and success of the Foundation. The Foundation is against unnecessary cruelty.  We do what must be done to protect humanity at all cost.

The second lesson of the ethics committee is that the Foundation does not rule the world, but rather serve humanity in its greater interest instead of listening to what it wants, think of it like a spoilt brat, if you keep giving in to what the brat WANTS, it's just gonna keep getting worse and worse, but if you give him/her what they NEED, they may not like it, but it's in their best interest, whether they want to admit it or not. The Foundation exists to protect humanity from dangerous threats, not to rule over the world with them. The ethics committee is in-charge of dealing with EVERY moral dilemma that may and will arise within the Foundation, they judge what is the best course of action to deal with the situation from an ethical standpoint.

The third lesson of the ethics committee is that the 'P' in SCP stands for "Protect". This is to remind all employed by the Foundation that they exist to protect humanity and the world from SCPs and as well as the Foundation from itself. Protect means to keep safe or to preserve, which means that we will preserve whatever SCPs we can. We Secure, Contain, Protect rather than destroy each and every single one. The ethics committee makes sure of it even if the only option is to do something evil, they will opt for the one that leads to a lesser evil.

    3. Why do you think you should be accepted into the Ethics Committee?*

Well I've had experience dealing with moral dilemmas as HoEA, UIU, and Nu-7 from determining whether to aid a certain group neutral/friendly to us which would result in a lot of casualties for us or not or to plain old hostage situations, I have also gained a lot of leadership experience from my other roles like SD, HoEA, UIU, Nu-7. I also want to try out new jobs and ECM is basically the only thing on the list I haven't tried (I ain't gettin in ??? or O5 so those aint on the list). I feel like I can do well as an ECM via deconstructing the issue and solving 1 problem at a time till the entire issue is gone.

    [SCENARIOS]
    1. The SD,HoEA and SA start to contradict each other's orders thus creating casualties in the field, what do you do?

I'd gather the SD, HoEA, and SA in one location and listen to each individual person and then ask the others why they don't like the other persons option and what outcome they'd think it would lead to. Starting with the SA, he is only there to advise the SD and HoEA on what actions to take and has no official say over them. So I'm left with the SD and HoEA. The HoEA is in-charge of external issues however, the SD is in-charge of the HoEA since that's who the HoEA directly answers to. Due to it being a "in the field" issue, therefore being an external issue, but the HoEA not having a direct say over tactics used by MTF, I'd get the HoEA and SD to come up with a solution that both will agree upon.
    2. You witness a HR order a shooting of an infected personnel while he begs for his life, what do you do?

I'd first weigh all the options such as him being used for further research to develop a cure for his infection against killing him to make sure the disease isn't spread to everyone else.
    3. A Nu-7 unit complains to you about being picked on by his colleagues for under performing, how do you deal with the situation?

I'd have a chat with him and his highest ranking about what specifically he's under performing in, then offer solutions and then talk to his colleagues about the harassment and the repercussions that may ensue if they kept on doing it such as having their pay cut or them being demoted/serving jail time.
    4. An unknown disease broke out in Ovis City and is turning people into mindless creatures that attack and infect anyone they can get their hands on. The infection is spreading rapidly and is at risk of spreading beyond the city, the MTF can't control it any more and an Overseer is considering using the nuclear weapon to destroy the infection but the HR told you they are very close to a cure that could save the infected, what do you advise the Overseer to do?

A disease is turning people into mindless creatures that attack and infect anyone, so I'd advise the Overseers to wait on the nuke due to the HR claiming to be close to a cure, I'd try to get MTF to provide support from long/medium range in whatever way they can to minimize risk of infection of the MTF units. I'd get the HR to inform on how long the cure would take, if it would take a day or so I'd proceed with the nuke seeing as it the disease could take over neighboring cities within a day. If it was a under an hour or so, then I'd divert all resources available to aid the HR develop the cure faster whilst getting the MTF to set up blockades and traps to slow down the infected till the cure is ready (I presume the cure would work 100%) and treats the infected
    5. 100 people are at risk of dying,  if you kill 49 then 50 people will certainly survive but if you only kill 1 then there is a 33% 99 people survive. What do you do?

Sort of a tough question, I could risk the 1 life for a chance to save 99 others or kill 49 to guarantee the other 50? (Math??)( I'll assume you mean 50/50)
While it may seem at first that kill 1 save 99 is a no brainer, the odds of them being saved are by my personal opinion too low, mainly because I wouldn't wager my life on a 33% bet so therefore I wouldn't do the same to others. I'd instead opt for kill 50 so that 50 are saved which is a safer and more guaranteed option (if it is actually 49 kill save 50, then sacrifice 1 to try save 99, if it fail then kill 49 more to save 50)

Jeremy Sanders reacted to Rito Munro Fraser in Rito Munro Fraser's Staff Application
Name: Steffen (Just call me Rito or Stef, either works)
    Country: Denmark
Level of English: I've been learning it for the vast majority of my life, so I can confidently say I speak it fluently.
    SteamID: STEAM_0:1:45160495
In-Game Name: Rito Munro Fraser (On some occasions Roti Monru Fresar)
    Age: 17
    Playtime:
    Rank: Platinum VIP
    Microphone: Yes
TeamSpeak: Yes (Although I'm not very accustomed to it)
Why should we pick you: I've been playing on the server for quite a while, and I overall have had a great experience, due to that, for a while I've had the feeling that I wanted to give something back to the community, at first that was buying Platinum VIP and PAC3, whilst I mostly bought them for the benefits, it did make me happy that I was supporting the server, by supporting the management.
However I now once again have that feeling that I want to give something back to the community, and while I could do that by spending more money, I'd rather do something that will directly help other players, thus I have come up with the idea of becoming staff, since it would achieve just that. Due to the fact that roleplaying games are heavily reliant on rules, which SCP-RP also indisputably is, they are also heavily reliant on people to follow and uphold those rules. I think the task of dealing with sits is handled pretty well most of the time, the only place where it seems to falter, is when staff isn't on, which I'm hoping to help counterwork by (hopefully) becoming staff.
So along with that, and me being under the belief that I am competent enough to be of help to the server and community, enchancing the experience, and trust that I will handle all sits and any other moderation business with a completely unbiased view. I hope to be let on the staff team, so that I can lessen the burden for the current staff, and assist other players and members of the community, that may be in need of staff, especially during downtime, where I often see longer periods of time with no staff is actively playing on the server.
How long will you be able to play per day: Whilst it depends on when I get off school, and whether or not I have work on that specific day, I would strive to spend atleast 2 hours in-game a day, although when possible, even now, I often spend upto 8 - 9 hours playing on the server.
Past experience as staff: While I don't have any experience as staff on Garry's Mod, I do have some in various other smaller communities, I'm hoping to make this my first experience as a GMod community staff.
Previous Warns/Bans: I have 0 warns, and a single 3 day ban for Propminge
Basic ULX Commands: I know the basics, although my knowledge is limited to just the basics alone, so I might ask a couple of questions along the way.
To sum it up, I know of the core commands like !gag, !tp, !bring, !goto, !kick, !slay, !xban, ect. And I understand the targetting format like:
    ^ to target yourself.
    * to target everyone.
@ to target whoever you are looking at.
And finally "!" to essentialy reverse any of the previous.
Do you know what SCP-RP is about: It all boils down to the roleplay scenario, about the SCP Foundation, a secret organisation which handles anomalous objects and phenomena, both containing them, but hiding them from the common man, to prevent the concept of normality from completely shattering. The SCP Foundation has a facility located in the old subway of a town called Ovis City, this is where the server roleplay takes place, both in Ovis City, but also inside the Foundation facility. Roleplay scenarios happen and evolve depending on the actions of players from different factions like the SCP Foundation, Ovis City Government, MC&D, Chaos Insurgency and more, essentially letting the community define the gameplay quality on their own, by creating their own interesting roleplay scenarios (with help from the server systems and event planners)
Do you understand the Rules of SCP-RP: Yes, and I understand the rules and their importance, because as with most other Roleplaying games, rules are incredibly important, as there are simply some things you can't make some advanced system to prevent, and thus you must have rules in place to make sure that all players have a good experience, and that is essentially what the rules boil down to, making sure everyone has as good an experience as possible.
Some of the more important (and widely used among different servers) rules would be to not do any of the following, which also happen to be some of the more important ones:
RDM - Random Death Match. To initiate a "Random" deathmatch, that being attempting to / killing someone without a valid RP reason
RDA - I actually don't know what it stands for, but it's essentially RDM, but instead of killing someone you arrest them.
FailRP - One of the more vague rules, essentially, you shouldn't do anything your character wouldn't realisticly do (i.e. Service Personnel going to surface).
NLR - New Life Rule. Anything that happens in your previous life, stays in your previous life. Essentially meaning you forget everything when you die, to combat this, there is also the ban from going back to the location you died until 5 minutes have passed from the time of your death.
Metagaming - Using knowledge you gained OOC, IC. i.e. looking at someone's nametag and then knowing their name
FearRP - To act as if you are scared, as people tend to not fear their in-game character's death, you have to act as if you do. Some servers makes FearRP required at all times, we only have it required when you are cuffed (and in some special cases like Omega-12 being under constant FearRP)
DBAD - Don't be a dick, the most important rule of all, most of the time, everyone will have a much better experience as long as everyone follows this simple rule. Completely self-explanatory, just DBAD.

    Your SteamID: STEAM_0:0:212158705
    Your age: 20
    Your ingame playtime: 20 weeks

Your warnings: 3 warnings in total.
Rate your RP skills: My roleplay skills vary accordingly and mostly depend with whom i am roleplaying with, so when needed i would say more than great.
What O5 designation would you prefer and what character:

    O5-11 "The Senator"

Male. European descent. American origin. Appears to be 70+ years old, verified post-human lifespan. Varying appearance.. usually dresses in respectable, immaculate tailored clothing but it can vary in situations. O5-11 is a high-powered politician, who has been installed in the Senate by the O5 Council for direct control over certain political matters.Notably associated with numerous secret societies. Said to be a high-ranking member of the Shriners, and to be the founder/co founder of Skull and Bones. Reports say he maneuvered a great number of secret societies into place over the centuries, and now sits in Washington tugging on the strings.

Have you read and understand the rules of SCP-RP?: Yes i know most of them and i am known not to break them that often, id like to keep it that way.

Why do you believe you should be part of the O5 Council and what can you bring to the role e.g (Pressure in extreme situations, making the tough decisions): I would like to be part of the O5 council so i can help in commanding the organisation, bring roleplay back into the table, try to negotiate for the benefit of hummanity and the foundation, and to also experience deeper roleplay and more freedom into certain things. I will try my best to not dissapoint  and serve my purpose as a council member as good as i can. But the main reason is roleplay.

Can you explain what an O5 does for the foundation and the site itself and why he himself differs from any other site Adminstration?: An O5 Council member will oversee the sites operations, gather information on topics they are interested about and make sure Department heads do their jobs well in managing their sectors, aswell as ensuring Administration is upto standards with the needs of the Organisation sometimes even stepping in to remove some of them and replace them with better ones themselves, altough that is seen as a rare occasion. The O5 council as a whole is the command structure of the organisation and vote on an unlimited ammount of matters shaping the future of hummanity but sometimes are the ones who are willing to make the ultimate sacrifices for the greater good.

What is the O5 Council?: As explained above in some parts, the O5 council is the head of the SCP Foundation and they make sure the organisation prevails, along with hummanity and sometimes even the universe given that some SCPs threaten the fabric of reality itself. They sometimes try to control other organisations too especially friendly ones through manipulation but that is another story for another time.

Are you currently head of a department (Job Manager), general staff in Nu-7 or a Site Director?: I own MTF Alpha-1 and help in the micromanagement of Nu-7.

What Departement would you like to focus on? (Research, Mobile Task Forces, Ethics,...): I can handle any department but science and MTF are my two favourite ones.

Jeremy Sanders got a reaction from Seto Zen masamune in Mr Seto's/Seto Zen SD Application
    +1
In all honesty, I believe Seto is mature and experienced enough to fill the role of SD
    - He seems genuine with his application and his abilities in-game
    - I believe he plays SA most of the time as he enjoys working alongside SDs or other side admin and without a doubt is mostly studying what they do to later incorporate this knowledge
    - I personally have never seen Seto be a minge or mess around on the server due to his maturity and professionalism whilst on the server
    - He is a polite person to be with
I personally believe he should be given a chance to be a SD as he dedicates a lot of time and effort into playing SA and making sure he plays the role of whatever he is playing to the best of his abilities
