Hi Kips, You were banned because you left to avoid roleplay punishment (LTARP). I understand everything you have said in your appeal however, you have admitted that you left "mid rp because its late and I have work tomorrow". Whilst that's a good reason to stop playing the server, It's not a get out of jail for free card in terms of escaping punishment. This is not a false punishment because you were being punished in RP and you then left to avoid the punishment. Unfortunately, no one is exempt from the rules whilst playing the server. Certain situations can be avoided for example, if you said to the person arresting you that you had to go off then they may have said "okay sure you can log off". If that didn't work you are more than welcome to contact a member of staff and explain your situation. The staff team on the server is a very understanding group of individuals! Although whether or not you will be unbanned is not my decision, I'm 99% sure that you will have to wait out the ban. I hope I've made it a little more clear as to why you were banned now and I would recommend using the ban as a lesson learnt for the future.

In my opinion, the warn is valid. This is because as you stated, "I wanted to use my stuff I got before switching off so I decided to kill Henk with he RPG". To be able to open fire on republic personnel, you need to be in threat by them which you weren't. If you didn't have a disguise on then I would say killing Henk is fine since he'd probably be shooting at you but he had no idea you were a scavenger. So basically the warn is valid because you weren't being threatened so you more or less just killed someone with no reason (Random Death Match). Here is the rule you broke: RDM - 1.1.2 Criminal jobs are allowed to fire upon republic personnel when in threat by them. Use the warn as a lesson learnt for the next time you might be in that situation

Way too soon to make an appeal for a community ban. I might be wrong but I'm pretty confident that someone would of told you at least a minimum time before you should even consider appealing. You might be a nice guy and all but the fact that you went out of your way to post someone's face in public channels all because they pissed you off ingame is pretty stupid. It doesn't matter if the image was "easy to find" or "accessible". You can't just post someone's face without their permission? An unban is not gonna be considered, it doesn't even matter if Deoxy said he doesn't care. There is rules in place for this exact reason and the people who enforce them like CAT are not going to just let it slide

Yeah I mean, I saw you fall off the cliff into the base and then switch to the CT job. After you switched to the job I was going to talk to you about how you can't do that and if you explained that you had no idea then I wouldn't of taken it any further. I have to be completely fair and reasonable when handing out a punishment on the server and in this situation, I can't just presume you didn't know the rules. Sorry but unless you have any actual evidence to support that you crashed and didn't intentionally leave, I think you might have to wait the rest of the ban out. Just incase you are confused, changing job roles to avoid getting arrested is not a ban but it is a warning for Job abuse (Changing jobs to avoid punishment). If you hadn't of left the server and explained that you were not aware that it was against the rules then the outcome would of been different. Hope this helps

+1 If there's something easily noticeable about Toast it's that he has always stuck to a certain position for a long time which just makes him a reliable choice for pretty much any role on the server. Toast already knows what he is doing and is just going to make Battalion better by himself

Once they understand I would hand out a sufficient punishment. 6 ) You bring a player into a sit and punish them accordingly, however they do not agree with your punishment and keep on arguing: In this scenario, I can understand why someone might not agree with a specific punishment so I would do my best to make them understand but if they continue to disagree then I would ask for a more senior member of staff's opinion. If the arguing continues or becomes noticeably more hostile then I would remind them that arguing will only worsen the situation and tell them they can make an appeal on the forums. Explain what you will bring to the staff team and your strongest assets as a person/potential staff member (250+ words): I have been a consistent member in the community for almost two years now and I have fully appreciated every part of the server. I've been able to use this to gain experience on the server. Although I don't think it's a must, I do think that having experience is a very valuable asset to being a staff member since it gives you the confidence to play the part of staff and the expertise you'll need to manage any scenario or circumstance you may encounter. As a result, I would be able to excel as a staff member because I am well equipped to handle any situation. After the staff team has put in so much effort in the background to make my experience enjoyable, I'd like to give something back to them. I am aware of the significant benefits that being a staff member has for the server and would like to contribute by doing so. I've dealt with a respectable number of scenarios that called for OOC intervention in the past while having ULX so I have a fair amount of experience handling staff situations. The majority of commands are still memorable, but one thing that was never clearly explained was how to portray yourself as a staff member. In addition, I consider myself to be a trustworthy member of the community who is approachable and friendly to other server players. Through in-character ranks like Battalion, Hierarchy, and being SO+ for over a year, I've gained plenty of experience. I have been able to develop into the person I am now in terms of maturity and experience thanks to situations I have been in, such as needing to make significant and important decisions. I believe this is a crucial component of what being staff needs and is because it allows a certain amount of unquestionable trust to be placed on me due to the level of responsibility and accountability held on me throughout specific ranks I achieved during my time on the server. Given that I've held the same rank for a considerable period of time, I've demonstrated a respectable level of dedication over the past year. I am also really driven and have the personality to go above and beyond what is asked so I have no doubt I would be able to put that to use as a member of staff. I have made mistakes during my time on the server, but they have taught me lessons that I might not have learned otherwise. These lessons also help me to better manage situations and put myself in the shoes of someone else who has made a mistake. Overall, I am confident that if given the opportunity to join the staff team, I would do well because of the experience I have received through my time on the server, the ranks I have held both IC and OOC, and also because I have learned from my mistakes. I want to demonstrate to myself and others that I am an effective and valuable contributor to the community.
